View Full Version : East/West Coast Feeds and HD Package

I'm confused (not hard to do).
I have the HD DVR and the DTV HD Package and live in Indy. Should I be getting any east coast network HD feeds? I have read on other threads that some are getting these. None are showing up on mine. (I get my locals here just fine.) The $11.00 I pay for a whopping 6 HD channels is out of line. I just want to make sure I'm getting everything I should be. :)
If I should be getting them, who do I contact?
Thanks, Jim

Do you get the East Coast feeds normally or just your local channels? You don't get the HD feeds in addition to locals from other markets as an automatic right. If you have O&O waivers, then you should get the HD feeds, but otherwise you're SOL.

If you have the waivers for all networks and are currently getting both the East/West coast feeds if you add a HD receiver should you automatically get them if you sign up for the HD package or do you not even need the HD package?

I don't believe this is true. My understanding is the if you have waivers than you will get East and West SD feeds (380s) . However, you only get the corresponding HD feed from whatever part of the country you live in. In your case, since you are from the East then you will get the East HD feeds only. Of course, you also need to be subscribed to the HD package. :)

Totally UNTRUE - you ONLY need the corresponding locals or distant networks to get them.
(this has been discussed several times on here already)
Many of us do NOT sub to the HD pak & get our networks in HD just fine - only have Chicago locals here & get all 4 NY HD distants.

HDTivo4prez is correct. This is exactly what happened to me. I have waivers and I lost East cost HD feeds but kept the SD version. I do get the LA HD feeds since I’m on the west coast.

I'll second this. I have both east and west coast SD feeds, but lost the west coast HD feeds a while ago.

How did you manage that? I'm in Habersham County, which I think is near you, and have to settle for Atlanta locals - I'd love to have HD locals.
