I haven't seen it of course, but I'm so sad that the season will end that I couldn't wait to start the thread.

Oh, thank God, I thought you knew something the rest of us didn't about this coming Monday's episode. :D

I was thinking it would be fun if they had Andy and Barney come as guest stars. Barney would fit into that family fine (imagine how peeved the narrator would get).

Funny, funny stuff -- consider a career in comedy writing. Maybe they could both try and date Lucille Bluth (I know, she's married) :p

You guys are in the wrong thread, this is for last season.
Might be my fault, I didn't say which season on the new thread (didn't think anyone woudl pull this up).

No, this thread was for this season, it just got started a little early. :D
(But since this thread doesn't have a date in the title or any other indication that it's discussion of the actual episodes, you did the right thing by starting a new thread.)

Actually I started this thread way back in September because I think it's ridiculous that people feel the need to be the person that started the thread for a certain episode and will start the thread hours and hours before the show starts - so I took it to an extreme. And then another thread gets started and they're the first one to redirect people to the thread they started (kinda like what happened here) because they actually think it matters.
That's my opinion, your's is most likely different.
btw - I have now watched this and I think it's the best series finale (if that's what it was) I've seen in a long time. A lot of resolution but not one big happily ever after because life goes on - possibly in another season or two.

Well I will talk about the show.. I for one was hoping that it might get a reprieve on Showtime or FX or anywhere else.. Now I hope it never ever ever comes back.
The arc of the show from the first episode to the last is pure genius. I think the collection of shows can stand the test of time of one of the most solid sitcom works ever created. I would hate to see that tarnished. Leave good enough alone.
I really love how they brought things full circle, and the bits with them in Iraq was just too funny.
It is sad it is over, but it ended on a huge high in my opinion.
I agree that AD is one of the best sitcoms of all time, but I think it can be just as good or even better if it went to showtime.
In general, and I think in a big way, the 13 episode cable originals are of far better quality then network shows.
Each episode has way more room to be perfected on cable.
From the last rumors, Showtime was considering a 26 episode 2 season pickup...
