Tivo Basic to Tivo Plus to Tivo Basic Again?

I was just curious if it's possible to go from Basic on my Toshiba unit to Tivo Plus, and then back to Basic again later after I pick up another unit.

Is this even possible?

Sure, anytime you stop paying the month fee for TiVo Plus your unit will revert back to TiVo Basic.

Thanks. I wasn't sure and wasn't willing to take the chance on giving up my free Tivo service.

It's on my second unit, a series 2. My main unit, a Series I is having trouble with my Vonage so I'm looking for alternatives.
