As originally seen on InteracTiVoty’s blog at  http://www.mediabizbloggers.com/interactivoty. Take one rugged outdoorsman used to getting his hands dirty, add a slightly spoiled car geek and throw them in the middle of nowhere with just a 4WD vehicle for them to save themselves. It’s Man v. Wild blended with a little bit of Monster Truck and it’s the Discovery Channel’s reality show “One Car Too Far.” I’ll admit I’m a sucker for any kind of programming involving problem solving and cars, so when I saw the promo with what looked to Continue Reading

Find the concept of a sadistic nun terrifying? Then this may not be the show for you. For those of you who like a good scare, prepare to be spooked out all fall with season two of the wildly popular horror-drama American Horror Story. The FX hit was created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk who are also the minds behind Glee. The show is an anthology so each season is set up like a mini-series that follows different characters and locations. The first season is set in present Continue Reading

I recently returned from a weeklong family reunion: there were five families and three generations in one house, including a dozen children under 19. During the week we were together, including one rainy day and night, I noticed that only the family members over 30 watched TV. Scattered among the children were two tablets, an iPod touch and lots of smart phones – and these devices provided all of the kids’ video entertainment for the week.  Just a couple of years ago, I recall our reunion included several nights of Continue Reading

MONDAY – How I Met Your Mother – 8PM – CBS We knew that Ted and Victoria (cake girl from Season 1) would not last forever, which is why they have to be the next couple to break up. The creators of the show said that October would be “the month of break-ups,” which means that Robin has to be next. Meanwhile, Barney makes a dog his wingman in an effort to think of new ways to sleep with women. These are all fun things that the creators are doing, Continue Reading

Sometimes we just need to go back to our roots. Where’s the loveable goofiness of the Fresh Prince, our Friends in Manhattan always there for each other, or the circle of love and laughs from the ’70s? Okay, maybe The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Friends and That ’70s Show aren’t as old as the Brady Bunch or The Wonder Years, but they are still considered “The Classics” to many of us. Will Smith’s antics stretch from testing the limits of his rich and uppity uncle to trying to woo every Continue Reading

But what is the impact of the partnership on the average consumer? It’s actually more significant than you would probably Continue Reading
