Go On did not record for me last night. Didn't realize it until this morning. Anyone else have recording issues?
I have three different TiVos, and all three happen to have Go On set for SP (one on cable, the other two on OTA). None recorded it. The history shows it was not recorded as this episode was already recorded within the 28 day rule. But I believe it was a new episode?
I'm pretty anal about my recordings, and check twice a week (Wed & Sun) to make sure everything I *think* should record is actually set to record. I use a list from FutonCritic to compare to the To-Do List. FC clearly shows it as a new show, and that means on Sunday it was still on the To-Do List. But it dropped it sometime between Sun & Tues night.
Strangely, there are TWO listings in history, one for 8:30 and one for 8:31. Both give the same reason for not recording.
I find it hard to believe others wouldn't have this problem, as our guide data s/b the same. SO... anyone else?
PS: Any place to watch it with captions?
I just created a new Google account to use so I could sign in on my Tivo and the Tivo keeps telling me the account and password don't match. I can log in and out of the account just fine on my computer, but the Tivo HD won't let me in.
Does anyone know what the problem is here? Do I need to give it time to sync this account somehow? Something else?
It is enough of a pain to type things in with the Tivo controller that I don't want to waste time doing that more than I have to do.
I was just checking my upcoming DVR recordings for tonight and noticed nothing listed. Seemed odd, nothing there for a Wednesday.
Then I remembered. If you miss the debate tonight, it won't be for lack of availability. At least 12 broadcast and cable channels on my provider are carrying it.

usually people/myself come here because of problems, i decided to change things up and report i have no problems with my tivo..worst thing i can remember is a lockup and reboot a few weeks ago. I do recommend rebooting every week just to keep things 'fresh' but i have no scientific basis backing up that it is beneficial..just a feeling. :cool:
I got a dual tuner TiVo Premiere earlier this year from Best Buy. Made it a lifetime unit as well. Also wound up getting the Best Buy extended warranty since it was 4yrs of total protection for about $20. Seemed like a better deal than Tivo's at $40 for 3yrs.
Anyway, as the world of technology constantly changes, I am now looking for a better whole home DVR solution that also involves not having to pay Comcast additional cable card fees. Therefore, the 4-tuner Premieres with one (or numerous) upcoming TiVo "minis" might be a good option (depending on the mini price) since it would take just one M-card.
To offset the price of this possible 4-tuner Premiere setup (w/ minis), I might then sell this lifetime Premiere (with a Best Buy warranty) on ebay. Can BB TiVo warranties be transferred to someone else? Or is strictly based on the buyer?
I have a show stuck in the Deleted Items folder on my Premiere Elite. It has not expired from Deleted Items, even though other shows have expired normally. When I select it and choose "permanently delete", Tivo displays a "Please Wait" for a few seconds, and then returns to the list of shows without deleting anything.
I assume this bug was triggered because I tried to delete the show while it was streaming to a second Tivo (a Tivo Premiere). In other words, the program was on the Premiere Elite, and I started viewing it via streaming on the Premiere. While it was playing on the Premiere, I deleted it on the Premiere Elite, and it moved to the Deleted Items folder as I expected. I then tried to "permanently delete" the show on the Premiere Elite, and nothing happened. That seemed reasonable at the time, because the show was still playing on the Premiere. However, after I stopped the show on the Premiere, I still couldn't delete it on the Premiere Elite.
I've tried recovering the show and deleting it again, on both the Premiere Elite and the Premiere. I've tried streaming it to the Premiere again for a few minutes (which worked fine,) and then stopping it and deleting it. I've tried restarting the Premiere. Nothing worked.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is restarting the Premiere Elite, because I'm waiting for a gap in my scheduled recordings. I'm not very optimistic that that will solve the problem, though.
Any other suggestions?
Can anybody confirm that a WD20EURS drive will work in a Tivo S3 (OLED) unit? I don't care about getting the entire 2 TB, but if I can at least get 1 TB that works reliably, I'll be happy. I just ordered 2 from Amazon for $100 each.

The Tara/Gemma/Wendy crap is really starting to wear on me now too.
Hopefully the Diosa/Cara Cara "merger" turns out to be a sorely needed change for the better.
In the last few weeks I have been having problems using this form in IE9, (with Win 7-64) the ads say "The webpage cannot be found" or sometimes the ads show, the form only loads part way. No problems using FireFox. Anybody else having problems with this form and IE9 (if anybody is still using IE9).
I just started watching this show. So far I really like it. But I wish they would have done the marines a LOT better.
Sgt. Brody wears Dress Alphas a lot. He's got Gunnery Sergeant Insignia and three hash marks, but he's called Sgt, not Gunny or Gunnery Sergeant.
Except in Episode 8. He's wearing his dress blues (finally) but he's wearing Sergeant Insignia, and only 1 hashmark.
And that damn haircut!
I've been able to overlook the haircut, but the uniform mistakes are too much to handle!
Still, I do love this show. Next time, please at least talk to someone with a military background. It'd make the show that much better.
I don't know how I did it last season. I'm already behind on so many shows and half the ones I watch haven't started yet. AND Supernatural starts tomorrow. Then I have that convention (shut up) this weekend so I won't be getting any watched then either. I think I need to drop some more. But I don't know what to drop, I really like everything I record! :o
I noticed that downloading a TVShow from Stream (as a test) didn't seem to affect the available space on my iPad memory as seen in iTunes (at least immediately). Strange. I was playing with the thought that the TVShow Download might show up in iTunes - but that never happened.
Just wondering where these go then - some proprietary space locked into the App? Probably.
Here's something I found inside the iPad/Tivo App - this hierarchy is inside the Tivo App - the last (highlighted) folder size is ~1070MB in size, and I have only downloaded one item using the Tivo App.
All broken down to run with Quicksilver I guess.
Not that it is a great loss, as all the videos were SD only, But I see TiVo has removed Music Choice Video downloads as an option.
(Note: if you want 720p and 1080p Music Videos on your TiVo just download them from YouTube and use pyTivo to push or pull them.)
I have 2 tivo HD's. 1 of them developed a hd crash. I have lifetime service on both of them. When I called Tivo, they wanted to charge me to transfer my lifetime service should I decide to purchase another drive through them. I dont agree with that policy. I purchased a Seagate Barracuda ST310005N1A1AS 1tb drive and used MFS Tools to copy the good drive from the other Tivo. It worked fine until maybe 1 week later when I received the first Green Screen telling me there was a problem. It cleared itself up and the tivo continued to work but has come back 4-5 times again since then, each time clearing itself up.
I am looking for help as I hope there is a fix to my problem. Wife gets very pissed when she cannot record and watch her shows.
I have a fairly new TiVo Premiere Elite (bought on Woot a couple of months ago and hooked up about 6 weeks ago) with an M-Stream CableCARD from Optimum/Cablevision and over the past week since setting up new fall TV season recordings (not season passes, just recording from the "By Channel" option about a week ahead of time), I've noticed a bunch of shows not being recorded, and when I go into the recording history, it says that the program wasn't recorded because "it no longer appeared in the program guide". This happened more than a few times and really concerns me.
I have another TiVo, an HD model that's about 4 years old, and it doesn't have the same issue. I set up the same recordings on that one the other day as a test and all of them recorded just fine even as the Premiere failed multiple times. So I don't think it's a problem with the actual guide data or my Optimum account.
Last night, one minute into a failed recording, I noticed that a show wasn't recording that should have been, so I turned to that channel and the bar at the top properly showed the name of the episode, and the show was playing properly. I hit the record button and it recorded just fine.
Also, at random times Sunday night during the football game, my NBC HD station flashed and started showing me programming from an NBA channel (I was still on NBC). The SD NBC channel still had the football game, though, and a few minutes later, the HD channel went back to the football game also. That was very strange. None of my friends had that issue.
At this point, I believe I've narrowed it down to a TiVo issue (hardware or software), a CableCARD issue or a signal/line strength issue (the technician recently installed new wires and tested them for signal strength, and until 6 weeks ago, the TiVO HD was hooked up to that same line and didn't have the same problem so I doubt it's that). My next step is to replace the CableCARD but I figured I'd ask for community expertise first. I'm also considering leaving Optimum for FiOS for unrelated reasons but I don't want to do that just yet if it's my TiVo that's a problem.
Any thoughts? Anyone experience this issue this regularly? I've now missed (or almost missed) 8 shows in a week on various nights and this can't continue!

Last night I configured my new TiVo Premiere for Antenna only use. It was great to scan my local channels and get all the Program Guide info.
I was watching a show called "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression Into Opportunity for Women Worldwide" on KQED 9-1. This is a two part show with two 2-hour segments. Part 1 was last night and the conclusion is tonight.
I still have a Comcast provided DVR (that I plan to get rid of soon). The Comcast program guide clearly describes last night's "Half the Sky" episode as "Part 1" and tonight's "Half the Sky" episode as "Conclusion." The TiVo Program Guide has the exact same description for both episodes and has no mention of Part 1 or Conclusion. If I depended on TiVo listings, I would easily miss the Conclusion of this compelling TV show. This was a frustrating first impression of the TiVo program guide.
Can this issue be fixed or improved in the future?
Is it possible to MRV from a suddenlink tivo premiere to a personally owned series 3?

I thought this season is going pretty well. But I have one question. The guy who used to be the federal agent who is now an iron salesman. In the last season didn't he hire a nanny to take care of the baby. And now he moved away and is living with that nanny. And now that nanny is in love with him and having sex with him? If that is all correct that's a lot of things happening that we didn't really see!
Ok, so the singers on this show have been on my last nerve since about the second song I ever heard them sing in season one. But this episode truly went the full nine yards clear down to rock bottom with their rendition of Radiohead's classic, Creep.
I kid you not I literally felt my central nervous system recoil.
