Can't wait to get my hands on them. Especially the transcoder box so I can send shows to my ipad.
I thought TiVo originally said summer, and then they moved it to late summer/early fall? Am I correct on that?
I have Comcast and for the longest time, they've duplicated a number of HD channels in the 200 and 800 range. The 200 range channels were there first so most of my season passes are on the 200 range channels. The duplicate channels have identical call letters and even tune the same QAM channels, they are for all intents and purposes identical.
My latest bill states they are removing the 200 range channels. I've switched most of the 200 range channel season passes over to the 800 range channel season manually, but there's some programs that aren't currently airing so I can't change them.
My question is what happens to the season passes on those channels if the channels go away? Will the switch over to the 800 range channels or just stay at the old 200 number? As I can create Season Passes on both duplicate channels, I'm assuming they won't automatically update, at least not without re-running guided set up. Is that correct?
Not sure how many others are in this boat, but I am holding off buying an Elite until we get more details on the IP-STB... Until we get some price factors on cost per month or if there is any I just cant commit to the Elite right now..... Anyone else in this boat?
Charlie Sheen is at it again! After being kicked off of his own hit show Two and a Half Men, Charlie took his anger issues all across the country on his infamous Torpedo Tour. Screaming profanities and munching on Twizzlers in front of a live audience could only hold its appeal for so long before Sheen fans began to crave something more… relatable. Charlie may be an angry, self-proclaimed “battling warlock,” but he sure knows how to turn his shortcomings into charm on the TV screen. His newest sitcom on FX, Anger Management, Continue Reading
Another good episode. I always bet on JR. Chris is a weenie. And all of a sudden Veronica turns into a cream puff.
When I try to access the Comcast VOD I get an error code err-2 with instructions to call Comcast. Does anyone know what this error means?
I thought this one was better as the prisoner skitter and it's talking through the kid is sort of interesting.
Huge hole in the timeline when they were being attacked and had to move then coming back from the commercial they're holed up in a new place already. Did I miss something or fall asleep maybe?
At least Tom and Doc finally hooked up.
6 different tuning adapters from Charter, still no digital channels above basic channels. Tivo has a nice DVR diagnostic Tuning adapter section but nobody (neither Tivo or Charter) can do anything with the information to tell me if the tuning adapter is working or what the problem is. Tivo says try a new tuning adapter until one works and Charter says the problem is not on Charters end. Suggestions?
We have a Tivo Premiere that we have owned for about a year and a half, and for the past couple months have been having problems when connected to the internet. Whenever the tivo is connected to the internet, it freezes, sometimes for several minutes, and then restarts. We usually use a wireless adapter but have also hard wired it with the same results. Haven't investigated the problem too much since we do not use Netflix or other internet apps, but of course need the connection to download info. Tonight it seems to be stuck on downloading data which it has not done before, so I'm wondering if the problem has gotten worse. We are only using an antenna for our programming. Any ideas, or is it just broke? Thanks!
tivo.com doesn't support web series transfers like it does regular season passes so it seems. So this means I re-add them one at a time right? Is it quicker, easier to to this at tivo.com? How about my old S3 I'm selling. I thought I'd keep the shows on it but delete everything else. Will delete everything options in settings menu do this? Removing all settings SP's and web series subs.
Brenda Lee is back!
This is the first of the last 6 episodes of The Closer. The spin-off, Major Crimes, will replace it in August.
New series starting on TNT. Stars Eric McCormack and Rachel Leigh Cook. Seems to be a procedural with a crazy professor and an FBI agent. I'm going to check it out.
I subscribe to several podcasts on Revision3 via Tivocast and it seems that for months now my Premiere is missing the downloads. Tekzilla seems to have the most trouble. If I get anything I get just the daily one. The full shows come and then it doesnt. If I flip over to my TivoHD the full show and the dailies are there. In the past I got both on both Tivos.
Things got busy and I didnt remove the duplication. My plan originally was to have each Tivo do a specific task or recording and then I never to finish the plan.
Any thoughts as to why this is happening would greatly be appreciated.
Tivo HD with 1gig HD/Only get basic service on both tuners
Cablevision IO Silver Package
SA Cable Card Multistream Card/Cisco Tuning Adapter
Some time ago I got 2 cable cards from Cablevision one for my Premiere and the other for a Tivo HD that I got from a friend at work. He gave to me dead to repair. The drive went bad and he got a new one. Since I worked in IT new drives are always on the shelf. So I purchased the proper Instant Cake for the Tivo HD and everything was great.
After a few exchanged Cable Cards and several chats with CV I gave up for the time being getting them to work properly. I have 2 Pioneer Tivo with SA 4200 so recording my pay channels wasnt an issue. The two HD units handled all of the basic shows. I also have a SA 4250HD for the occasions that the Tivos are busy and I want to watch HD.
Things got busy and I forgot about it.
Recently the Premiere got an update and it starting working properly. I checked the HD and it was still the same. Basic Channels are fine. Channels like HBO,HGTV,Velocity are a black screen with no errors.
So I called CV and spoke with someone in the Cable Card group and asked them if the could send a signal to update the card. They did and nothing changed. They have suggested a truck roll. I told them that I would have to schedule it at a later date.
Any thoughts or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Seeing Jesus' head reminded me that his body disappeared from Lafayette's house.
Who is going to raise baby wolf now that both her parents are dead? Perhaps Alcide and Sookie.
I don't care at all about the Sanguinistas Vs. The Authority. I do, however, enjoy the Tara storyline.
Looks like Walking Dead S3 is gonna be extra bloody...PREVIEW
I recently resurrected my Sony svr-2000 and connected it with the help of Tivo telephone support. I'm sure that the ir code is the correct one. Nevertheless, the Comcast set-top box occasionally will fail to read the final digit that the dvr transmits. (I didn't think that the Discovery channel would have a show hosted by buxom ladies in heavy make-up agitatedly speaking Spanish.) To counter this, I taped BOTH ir blaster heads together (to double the effectiveness?) This seems to have worked but I was wondering if anyone knew where the receptor for ir beams is on the front of Comcast/Cisco/Scientific Atlanta set-top boxes. I can't find it by shining a flashlight at the front panel and looking for the reflection. Also, can anyone give me a suggestion on how far forward of the edge of the top of the set-top box the ir blaster transmitter should be positioned for greatest effectiveness? Finally, is there an add-on that can be purchased to boost ir blaster potency?
Oh, one last question which I hesitate to ask for its revelation of my stupidity. Can the Sony SVR-2000 be configured (with a Comcast set-top cable box [NOT a DTA]) to record one show while one is watching another? How?
I have an old Tivo 2 Humax which I keep running because it is easy to burn DVD's for relatives with no cable.
All of a sudden my Humax will not connect to the Tivo service. It sees my network (wireless) and shows a connection. It has a valid IP address. But when I try to connect to the Tico service, the regular error is no DHCP.
My router hasnt changed and my other Tivo HD connects fine.
I have rebooted the router (multiple times), rebouted the Tivo (multiple times). run the set up for the network connector and everything else on the Tivo site.
I am at a loss.
Why no DHCP when the router is set for DHCP?
Could my hardware be failing?
What makes it worse is that this is my machine with Lifetime!
I've been struggling with setting Season Pass episodes where a given first run show is repeated multiple times.
I have traditionally selected the station and time I want the Season Pass to capture and tell it First Run only.
What happens these days is TiVo grabs the first showing time from the respective channel and not the time I set up. This results in many of our Season Pass programs butting heads in common time frames.
How do you force TiVo to record the actual time frame you specify? I swear this didn't used to be an issue but that may have been pre-Premiere.
