I know others have posted similar issues. But, wanted to post my own thread.
We have TWO DirecTV Tivo's. BOTH are having a difficult time recording season passes for common shows like Modern Family, Glee and Raising Hope. I've spoken to DirecTv, they wanted to replace these with their new HR34 POS.
Any thoughts on how I might fix this? I've removed the shows from the season manager, and then re-added them (with a reboot between).
We're very close to walking away from DirecTV and just investing in two Tivo's and over the air HD. DirecTv seriously sucks worse than cable providers now.
I almost threw my shoe at the tv when Bobby said that they have to bring proof of Clay's shenanigans to the table and then decide what to do with him. Here's what they should do - shoot him. NOW! Now, Jax is basically forcing his mother to be a whore to get criminal pillow talk from Clay. That's being a good son. I'm pretty sure that Clay will get suspicious and either kill Gemma or force her into some other ridiculous plot twist.
Nero, you're crazy. Run as fast as you can from Gemma. I wonder how he's going to take it when Gemma goes back to Clay. Since Clay is aparently unkillable, I assume Nero probably won't make it to next season.
Tara, stop clocking people with your broken hand but if you're going to do it, you should have punched Gemma in the face 4 or 5 times. I still maintain that Tara is the dumbest woman on tv.
I wonder if Clay said "A black guy did it" as an excuse every time he got in trouble as a kid.
Juice is the un-gangsterest motorcycle gang member I've ever seen on tv. I've noticed that he's no longer seems to be the club's super computer hacker. Unser's the go-to guy now for police intel. That seems more realistic.
Well I am sad that RC is gone. I will miss her bikinis and her strength. I would have been much much happier if she could have held on to win immunity and perhaps Skupin gone home instead.
Denise is a tough cookie, but Abi surprised me by how long she held on. I don't like her but she's no pushover.
Glad they've merged, glad the jury is started, now begins my favorite part of the game.
As noted in several threads in this forum, various shows have had episodes delayed due to Sandy. In most cases, the networks have simply delayed the scheduled episodes by a week or so. Unfortunately, if your TiVo did not receive an updated schedule before the scheduled time for program airing, your TiVo will 'believe' that the episode has already aired, and if you are using a default Season Pass for the series (or have the SP set so that only New episodes are recorded), you will NOT record the actual airing of episode if it is in the next few weeks (see the 28-day rule).
There are two ways to mitigate this problem:
1) Check the schedule shortly before the next airing of the series and manually force recording or
2) Temporarily change the SP to Record All Episodes. If the selected station also airs past seasons of the series in non-prime time, you may need to delete the unwanted episodes. However, assuming your TiVo is not almost full, this option should allow you to not miss the delayed episodes.
Once all the delayed episodes have been aired, it should be safe to use your normal SP settings.
I have bad interference on several analog channels and digital breaking up (sometimes going out completely) figured was time for new drop. Cable tech came out did something no other ever had disconnected every run from splitter and hooked to meter, said I have very bad noise on every run (all 20 years or older) they are going to replace drop and rewire house. I've had the interference on the analog for years (not as bad as it is now) many techs have tried to fix could not will the rewire do it?
It's been stuck at this screen for over an hour now. I've read other threads, but couldn't find one that particularly covered the Premiere model. Not sure what all info is important, but here is what I do know.
1. Connected to antenna only
2. Connected via ethernet cable
3. Premiere model # TCD746320
4. AFAIK, stock HDD
I've unplugged the unit once only to have it hang-up in the same place each time. Unit was purchased on eBay.
Back in April i reported here that I was having trouble with seeing my other TiVos and could not get MRVing to work. It happened around the last update in April??. After numerous calls to TiVo support, switching out all my switches, a new Verizon router, It all now works with the Fall Update. TiVo blamed my network, but it now seems like it was TiVo's software. why couldn't they figure this out??????
Sam didn't just give the bitchface at the end. He's about to snap. How many complete conversations can these two brothers have without ever saying a word. That reach for the weapon. Dean's slight shake of the head. That was intense.
I don't know what to make of Benny. Why did I feel for him? At first I was thinking "we don't care about this much of his back story!" then all of a sudden BAM I'm getting misty. "Why'd you do it?" I think he wishes Dean had dumped his soul in some random grave.
So much to process. Best episode of the season IMO. More thoughts later. Must go to bed.
Oh and that preview!
"you left me to die for a girl!?!" noooooooo
Who called it, huh?
As we mentioned it makes no sense that Gillian needed a dead Jimmy. I was sure that that the floor lamp behind the tub was going into the water.
Harrow certainly knew that Jimmy was already dead. What purpose did it make for Gillian to scream "My dear boy is gone!" BEFORE they found the body?
Harrow has his picture-perfect family and it includes the kid. Gillian may not be long for the world.
Did we ever hear that the Commodore put Jimmy in his will? At the start Jimmy didn't even know that the Commodore was his father.
Methinks this is last season of Treme.
There's a lot revisits to the same stories.
Sonny is off the wagon.
DJ Davis is doing a music project and getting fired from / quitting his job at the NPR station.
Toni is chasing corrupt cops.
Lt. Terry is chasing corrupt cops.
Nelson is making deals.
Big Chief Lambreaux is getting ready for Mardi Gras.
Ladonna is runinng the bar.
Antoine is teaching music.
Janette is being a chef. I was sure that Jacque was going to walk as an illegal. He had a panicked look in his eyes when that management lady laid down the law.
But Man, I love dat music! I bought the soundtrack CDs for the first two seasons.
Both of my Premiers that updated seem to be unable to to tune SDV channels now. I get the channel unavailable message. This is on Cox Phoenix. I have power cycled the tuning adapters, no joy. Anyone else?
Lost my FIOS in hurricane Sandy. Hooked up my Series 3 to antenna, but was originally set up for cable only. Went into GS to change to antenna but get mired down when it needs to contact TiVo since I have no Internet or phone service. Unable to back out of GS. Tried unplugging, rebooting but keep getting sent back to GS. HELP!!!
Title says it all...yay!
10 ep order...but some changes in leadership.
I had thought that Tivo was coming out with a way to watch recordigs and live tv from a remote location kind of like a slingbox. Maybe I misread a past post...I haven't been active here in quite a while.
I am going to be out of the country and would love to watch recorded shows and live tv while abroad.
My Dvr (Comcast, not TiVo) has only recorded the first 2 or 3 of the current season. Nothing since. Has there been new episodes on? Looking back through the DVR manager it had some. Weird error on one show that was new this past Monday but the Monday before that it showed a repeat. I also couldn't find it OnDemand and I didn't see any new threads here?
After 4 or 5 years of watching/recording basic cable and digital antenna, I decided to go digital with Time Warner and ordered the cable card. Now all of my recordings on my TiVo Series 3 are copy protected - even the channels I on basic cable.
My solution was to get lifetime on my old Series 2 and hook cable directly to it. That works fine but the hard drive is small and it keeps warning other programs will be deleted early.
I don't care to download ALL my progrms to the computer so here's my question: Is this Series 2 TiVo worth upgrading to a larger hard drive?
Or is it too obsolete and liable to get other problems soon?
How many people still use an old Series 2?
NBC bumped their entire Thursday to rerun Monday's The Voice, but because this 30 Rock is based on the election, it gets shown a day early.
I have 3 Premiere's.....2 of them are the XL version and 1 is the regular version I updated with a 1GB drive. Last night, all 3 Tivo's received the fall update. However, the upgraded one is now boot looping.
I'm thinking my only option is to put the original drive back in, apply the fall update, then copy that image back over to the original 1gb drive that was in the tivo. If this is done, i obviously lose my recordings but what other options do I have?
