I've all but given up on this show, but watched this episode. I could have sworn Jeremy Sisto said "Oh, *****" in one scene. I watched it 3 times, and it still sounded like it.
so I have a tivo series 2 thats only single tuner with lifetime service. Have been renting a tivo from RCN (premier 1?) and its great but I can't really afford to rent it anymore lots of downgrading so i'm looking to buy a series 2 with a dual tuner and/or potentially trading my tivo2 single tuner w a fee for a dual tuner of some sort so I can downgrade the cable but have a dual tuner tivo...
once you have a tivo I guess you can't go back hah.
is the series 2 single tuner w lifetime service worth much?
anyone selling a dual tuner tivo w/ lifetime service thats not expensive??
Thanks in advance!
I have a TiVo Premiere Elite (XL4) for sale. It has a brand new 2TB hard drive and comes with brand new TiVo Glo Remote. Includes the following cables: HDMI, composite AV, ethernet, power.
Make me an offer before I put it up on eBay.
Can anyone please help me with the "order" of connections? I have Suddenlink cable, 2 TiVo Series 2 boxes, 2 digital converter boxes from Suddenlink, a DVD player, and a Samsung big screen DLP TV. Do I daisy chain the TiVos somehow? Or use a splitter so cable goes to each converter box and then each converter box to a TiVo? If so, where do I go from each TiVo?
I was getting basic Comcast channels on my old CRT just fine until a week ago or so.Now all I see is that I will need a digitla QAM TV. What is the best solution to receive the digital channels and convert them to Video to feed to the back of the TIVI without going to have to go to Comcast ? I see an Apex TV tuner converter ( DT250A) -- will this solve my problem ? Is thare a better ( cheaper ?) way to do this ?
i have a tivo hd with lifetime service on it with a dead 1TB hard drive.
does the collective wisdom suggest i sell it as-is, or put a hard drive in it and sell? is it better to sell on ebay or here on the tivo forums?
My Series 3 is getting a little long in the tooth (still works fine) and I'm starting think about the newer models, especially the Premiere 4. I went to Tivo's website to check prices and I don't see a multi-unitdiscount price listed. Yes, I logged on to the website and accessed through "My Account." And my series 3 is active (although I did have it off for a while when I got a free trial on the cable company DVR and thought I'd check it out).
So, what's the deal? Did they take away the discount from existing users? (If so, that sucks. I've felt like Tivo is nickel and diming us before.)
We have a series 3 TIVO the cable card slots are in the back. Looking at the TIVO HD pictures I don't see the cable card slot.
Sorry, for the newbie questions, I have started reading though the FAQ's and technical changes to the Premiere line, but haven't finished yet. :o
I'm remotely thinking about getting a TiVo used from e-Bay. After scanning through the offerings I have a couple of across the board questions;
1. I see many of these are listed as "receivers" not DVR's. Most of those appear to be ones with no subscription, but some with still are calling them "receivers. Am I missing something here?
2. Considering prices, I really don't see any advantage with the ones that don't have a lifetime subscription. Are there any advantages since the bare decks don't seem to be that much cheaper??
3. I also see different procedures regarding transferring subscriptions. Some say the original owner has to call first, before the buyer does.
4. Which number is needed to reactivate the subscription, the S/N or this TDS (?) number?
EDIT: It just corrected itself, after playing Farscape S01E01, very odd....
I just noticed that all Netflix 4:3 content on both my TiVos is being displayed at Zoom 16:9 mode I cannot find a way to change the format,
No the TV is not set to Zoom.
I have the second Fall Update 18.104.22.168
All the StarTrek TV series are a good test.
The 4:3 content plays fine on my computers, Is this a new bug?
My Bluray player also displays correctly.
I have a Tivo HD being used without a subcription as a security camera recorder. Can I add a expander drive without having to connect to the 'mothership' and causing the recording option to be shut down?
Any word on when RedBox Instant streaming will show up on the Premiere?
Didn't the TiVo and Verizon agreement include adding the RedBox/Verizon streaming service to the TiVos?
I have a Tivo USB Network Adapter hooked up to an OLED Series 3 and frequently the adapter will lose my home wireless network connection.
What happens is the Tivo won't update the guide and says there isn't a wireless network adapter connected. But if I unplug the adapter and plug it back in then that usually fixes the issue and the Tivo see's the adapter. It happens so much that t's to the point now where it's annoying. Any suggestions?
That slick deals site has info how you can get the TiVo Stream for $110 shipping and no taxes for most. Go there and search under the "hot deals" forum.
New to TiVo. I got the Premiere model with 2 tuners. I think the model is tcd748500, it's too small to read to be sure.
I have ordered cable tv for the basic channels they are coming to install it next week.
I am currently using an antenna and seems to work ok.
I understand that you can only use two channels at a time. So if I am watching one I can only record one more. Is only two tuners a problem? It's easy to go back to the store and get the 4 tuner model.
If I did get the 4 tuner model I understand that doesn't work with an antenna. Is there some kind of box I can plug the antenna into do that I can then plug that into the TiVo? Or am I then stuck with always having cable?
I miss the very end of many shows. Are the channels extending shows beyond the 1/2 hour or hour marks or is this a problem with my TIVO? Is there any work around besides settings up manual recording times for all my shows? If I could extend recording ala for live shows it would be ok.
Anyone else seeing this?
Does anyone here have a cable system that has switched to using H.264 (aka MPEG4) for some of your channels? If so are any of those channels unprotected and capable of being transferred to a PC via TiVoToGo? If so would you be willing to send me a sample of a .tivo file with H.264 video so I can use it for testing in VideoReDo?
It’s finally the holiday season! Yesterday, our TiVo elves were hard at work, excited to do their part. Wrapping boxes and making decorations, they were preparing to decorate our tree at this year’s Christmas in the Park celebration in Downtown San José at the Plaza de Cesar Chavez on Market St. Each year, local businesses and community members make a contribution to ensure that the show goes on, with a 60-foot Community Giving Tree and a forest of well-lit trees exuding holiday spirit and joy. This year, TiVo Continue Reading
TiVo’s out with their quarterly earnings and things are looking up after a profitable quarter, with continued patent litigation/licensing success and subscriptions growing 44% year-over-year… largely thanks to Virgin Media’s success in marketing and deploying well over a million TiVo units (versus seeing any significant gain via that awful “new” DirecTV solution). With other foreign and second tier [...]
I had thought the MOCA bridging in my new XL4 would solve the problem of providing internet connections to my other entertainment hardware, but even with reserved addresses at my router for all of the gear, when the TiVo reboots (like for an update) all the other gear loses their ethernet connections until they are each rebooted. I would have thought they would be reconnected at their old (reserved) addresses after the TiVo completed its reboot. Anybody understand why this happens?
