This has only happened a few times but it has happened on 2 THD's.
I selected the Debates and not knowing which THD we were going to use, we set them up online to record CH 618 (FoxNews HD). Instead they went to the first station with that show and recorded on CH 2 which is ABC SD! I thought it had something to do with the online schedule so the next Debate I scheduled from the 2 THD's guides. On one THD it still went to CH2 and on the other it went to CH 118, which is the SD version of CH618. Since I did this from each THD's guide why would it switch channels? This has not happened before that I can remember, but has happened on ALL 3 debates...actually 4 counting the VP debate.
Does anyone else find this feature completely worthless? I listen to Adam Carolla podcast, which has the Guinness Book of World Record for the most downloaded podcast. Why isn't this podcast accessible on the Premier Tivo?
I have a Premier XL4 with Fios. Initially, everything was working fine. Then the issue with the HBO channels appeared over the summer, but that was quickly solved by calling Fios and pairing the card.
But immediately after that, I lost the ability to watch a few HD channels - namely, TNT, NFL Network, one of my HBO channels, and most recently, AMC HD. When I go to any of those channels, I see a black screen and a message "Problem with the signal on this channel - trying again".
This really has me baffled. I was hoping the problem would go away when we moved into our new house a month ago, but no such luck. So that tells me it isn't a problem with the coax or the feed since it has occurred in two separate locations. And I recently swapped in a new cable card but have the same problem. Of course, Verizon hasn't been helpful. I haven't tried contacting TiVo support - will do that next.
Anybody have a similar problem? Any suggestions? Apologies if this particular issue has been discussed before.

I registered my TiVos and I received a message that I will receive the Fall 2012 Service Update within 3 days of its release.
I have a Premier with two tuners, I have tried several times to search for a program and see that it is on at 2:00 am. When I try and schedule a season pass for the program that clearly shows it is on at 2:00 am, the TiVo comes back and states there are conflicts with the recording. When I check the conflicts the box has set up a season pass for the program when it originally aired that day at 9:00 pm. I want the box to create the season pass for the specific time of the show I have clicked on not the first air time of the show that day. Therfore, if I search for a show and select other viewings and select the show to record that is on at 2:00 am, it lets me record the show as a one time recording but always defaults back to the first air time of the show when I create a season pass.
I am so happy this is back!

For some reason some of my HD channels are working, and others say "channel not authorized, call cable company", but the SD channels work fine.
Examples are 1055 (BRAVOHD), and 1056 (FOODHD), totally down, but 1054 & 1057 work fine.
Cox is rolling a truck on Friday as they think it's a signal issue, but I doubt that's the case.
Anyone else with issues?
No season pass, no wish list, no manual recording, and these are not Tivo suggestions either. Rather, since upgrading to Series 4, all New Shows This Fall are being recorded for some reason, mixing into my list of requested shows. What's going on and how do I turn I off?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that when watching recorded content, the THR-22 audio is sometimes out of sync with the video? I have watched several episodes of "Dragons: Riders of Berk" on Cartoon Network and the audio sync is always way off. By "way off" I mean at least 10-15 frames, which is noticeable. Was watching something on one of the sports networks earlier today and its audio was out of sync as well.
I'll start making some notes to see if it's just certain channels, but it's something odd and I thought I'd ask since someone just posted a question about the same pause lockup issue I mentioned sometime back.
I just found the Presidential debates in my TiVo suggestions :-).
Last night I noticed my five year old TIVO HD box had it's green power light blinking. It seemed to try to reboot, but never made it. I unplugged the power cord and today when I plugged it back in it won't do anything. I'm guessing the power supply is gone. So, what to do? I have another standard TIVO in the house so I get the multi-discount. I have a cable card from Comcast in my dead TIVO HD. A few basic questions:
1) What to buy next? I'm leaning towards the TIVO Premiere 4 so I can get the record 4 at once option.
2) Will I be able to get my Comcast cable card to work in the new unit without a cable guy visit? Maybe just a call to Comcast?
3) Should I buy the box direct from TIVO? Do you think I can get some kind of discount with a phone call saying I have a dead TIVO box?
I may try to repair the HD unit at some point, but for now I'm using this as a chance to upgrade. :)
Suggestions and thoughts are most welcome.
OK, this is bizarre. Was out of town last week and Tivo recorded Showtime's "Inside the NFL" for us (last Wednesday, I think). We sat down last night to watch it but for some reason, it was Fox News! The entire recording was Fox -- not Showtime. Looking at the record info showed that Tivo thought it was recording Showtime East. I just figured it was a bug of some kind and we blew off the recording.
So last night I'm looking at the movie channels to see what's on -- Tried tuning in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" on one of them and it was some other channel! Went to look at "X-Men 2" on another premium channel and it was something else as well. Finally went to Showtime East and sure enough, it was Fox News!
So I restarted the DVR and everything then was in its proper place. Very strange -- something got corrupted in there.
But we're still getting issues where if we tune to certain channels on one of the two tuners, if we pause the video, it WILL NOT UNPAUSE. It gets stuck, and to get it back, you have to go up a channel and down a channel. If you pause a channel when it's in this state, the time bar never changes to show video being buffered.
Interestingly, this only seems to happen on one tuner, and with certain channels. I was futzing around with it one night trying to run down the problem and certain channels could be paused and unpaused; others would get stuck.
We can work around this bug by changing the stuck tuner to a different channel, then pressing Live TV to switch to the other tuner, then entering the channel number that was getting stuck and changing to it on the other tuner. At this point, the video is properly pausable and unpausable.
I saw a note that there are now Tivo reps reading this forum. Is this something that others have experienced? Is there a fix in the works? Do you need more information from me to help describe exactly what is happening? I'll help debug as much as I can.
We've owned a Tivo box since the first unit came out, and this is the first time we've seen a bug this heinous. You pause the video to answer the phone or deal with an interruption, and it won't unpause, and worse yet, by the time you screw around and get the channel back, you've missed part of the show.

Why does the Tivo Amazon App not recognize Prime membership that allows for free streaming?
Did anyone else experience a huge sounv/video sync issue with the most recent episode of Fringe? It happened about 15 minutes in after a commercial. The Fringe video began, but the commercial audio continued for about 5 or more seconds!
I would like to know how one of TIVO's (potentially) best advantages is so badly executed. The web TV guide on the TIVO site is a great idea which is so poorly executed that it is almost useless.
- God-awful slow. Jumping to a channel gives you time for a cup of coffee.
Decidedly inferior programming to make it so slow.
- Doesn't tell you if a show is new or repeat.
- Doesn't allow you to edit out channels you don't receive.
- Doesn't have a "favorite channels" feature.
