Someone (I assume the Youtube App) has made it even more difficult to view my subscriptions. I was hoping it was some kind of glitch, so I rebooted my box a few times. Stays the same
Last week I was able to scan through my subscription, be it in a one group, but now I have to start the first video. Press down 2 times and scan through the videos much slower
Please tell me there is something wrong with my Tivo. Has anyone else noticed this?
Purchased a retail Mini a few days ago and a few months ago purchased my 3rd TP-4 (retail when the price was $199). I activated both with Lifetime a few days ago. The Mini and the new TP-4 set up great, could see all my Series 4 TiVos and use MRS on all of them. Set up the new TP-4 for the Mini to use one tuner. Set up my Mini and the new TP-4 had the red circle death, I could not select that unit, the other two TP-4s could be selected without problems. I have tried everything, re-booting the new TP-4, re-booting the Mini, even did a C&D all on the Mini, I can't select the new TP-4, I even tried disconnecting one of my older TP-4s, still had the circle of death on the new TP-4.
I give up, I did call TiVo and they could not see any reason for this problem on their side, will be escalated to engineering.
My plan was to sell my other two Series 4s with 2 tuners, so I would be left with 3 TP-4 giving me 11 tuners (and one for the mini) and one Mini, more than enough for my home.
Any help would be appreciated.
Probably too late, since it starts in a few mins, and those on the east coast have already missed it, but MTV is rerunning a bunch of old RW seasons.. including the first season..
over the next few days.
(Was it originally a half hour show? They're showing up in ~35 minute time slots.. and I always pad MTV shows 2 minutes before & 2 minutes after, due to their weird scheduling.)
I rarely watch reruns, but am vaguely interested in watching this and some of the other season(s) they're rerunning. IIRC, I never saw all of Las Vegas.
I know some/all of it is on their web site, but I don't want to watch it on a web site.

I bought Toast 11 for my MAC and downloaded and installed TiVo Desktop for MAC. I'm able to see my TiVo recordings and transfer them to my MAC without issues.
I cannot however transfer them BACK to my TiVos. When I pull up my MAC on my TiVo's it says: The iMac (blah blah) has no recordings.
I have a Premiere 4 upgraded to 2TB - will "Western Digital My Book AV DVR Expander 1TB" still work?
Ok I am trying to figure out how to program the tivo sling remote to power on and off my tv , well actually my sound bar, but it will basically be the same. I am doing to so the tivo thinks it is connected to a powered HDMI device while the TV is powered off and I am remotely watching via sling.
I have looked around and saw some complicated instructions about jp1.com but before I attempt that whole procedure to program an entire remote I want to know if anyone has figured this out yet or if there is a way to program just the mute and power button.
I'm liking it this season and very glad it's still on TNT. Are others watching or is this going to be the last season?

Hi, everyone. I recently upgraded my Series3 to a Premiere XL4 and I love the box, but I'm having one issue that is kinda driving me nuts.
The issue is that sometimes when I'm watching a show and I move around with the skip or replay buttons (and sometimes with normal FF and RW), when I hit play, the sound is all distorted. I wouldn't say with static or anything, but it's all tinny and robotic sounding. If I skip backward and forward a few times, then everything goes back to normal.
I also have a new Mini that streams shows from this Premiere and I haven't had the issue when watching shows on there (yet). So, I'm assuming it's something to do with my living room setup, even though it hasn't changed from my Series3 setup.
My Premiere is hooked up to my TV via HDMI, I always output the program's native format (with letterbox, if needed) and the sound goes to my receiver via optical. My sound output is set to Dolby Digital. My software version is 220.127.116.11-01-2.758.
Please let me know if you need some more info. I'd really appreciate any help.
I've been billed by Comcast for on-demand movies that I didn't order. They quoted the HostID of the device from which the movies were supposedly ordered, which matches the ID of my Premiere. Is it possible that someone spoofed my Host ID? Does Comcast store any other information besides Host ID that I can use to prove my case? Basically, I'm being called a liar...grrr...
shane would be hard to give up but he should! i think it would have been more interesting if nick wasnt a gentleman and took jess at her word in bed. that would have been atypical of these shows. their bathroom situation always amazes me. it's like grand central in there.
i dont know what will be worse...if they do get together or just torture us with the teasing all season
it looked so bizarre i had to see it. it will never be on top of the list of things i have to watch but it had a few funny moments. i can do without the mouse abuse though.
Just curious to see what other providers are currently using for their Cisco CableCARD OS Version (Firmware). Does anyone know any advantages to upgrading the firmware, other than the fixes listed in the Software Release Notes
? Not that newer is always better though.
Seems that Cox is way behind and running a very old OS Version and possibly downgrading the OS Version, as Cisco started shipping CCs with OS 18.104.22.16801 code in Oct 2012.

I have a Tivo HD and have been using a 1TB WD Expander with it with no trouble for about a year. I recently moved and no longer need my Tivo. I was planning on giving my Tivo to a friend but keeping the Expander. I deleted everything off of the Tivo and Expander with no trouble. I then completely disconnected the Expander and restarted the Tivo. When it gets to the blue "expander is missing" screen, I hit "clear" but nothing happens. I have restarted numerous times. Called Tivo and tried several different options, including the kickstart, but nothing will get me past this screen. The kickstart would not work.
If I plug the expander back in, then the Tivo works fine. But as soon as I disconnect it, I get stuck on the same blue screen. Any thoughts?
jumped through all the hoops to link my tivo with amazon and selected to rent the hd version of the hobbit. FAIL with 'we apologize for the inconvenience, but this program is no longer available. see www.amazon.com/tivo
for more information'. and of course there is nothing on that page of any pertinence and the damm things only been out since tuesday so what does '... no longer available' mean? useless crap. i guess they want to force me to buy just so i can watch at $19.99 instead of rent for $4.99. got news for them, for $19.99 i'm buying the blu-ray or even waiting for the extended blu-ray version which will more-than-likely be cheaper than $20.
i went to the tivo accounts page to try to find out why this happened and it says: 'down for maintenance'. could that be the reason i can't rent it? but it let me link my amazon and tivo accounts and create a pin, so i can't imagine that's the reason.
at the same time yesterday, all three of my Tivo Premieres with Cox cable cards lost the same channels on ALL three Tivos. As well, my cable modem took a hell of a hit, changed its IP address (which hasn't changed for a year), and that's around the same time the Tivos had their channel maps attacked.
Any ideas what would cause three Tivos to lose exactly the same channels, at the same time?

Here is Tivo's explanation on Mini pricing. I agree with the author and still think it's a bit overpriced for what it is though. I think $150 would be more reasonable. But what do I know.... I can't even use it with my 2 tuner Premieres anyway. :)
