After being positive the non elim would be last week I was positive it would be this week and I was right :)
The only team I don't like is Pinky and No Brain. As long as they don't win I'm good.
I have a Roamio Pro that I installed at the end of September.
Twice now (11/1/13 and 11/10/13), the box has become unresponsive to the remote which is set for RF mode, a 2nd remote (Glo from my Premiere XL), Logitech Harmony One, and the TiVo application on my iPad. In each case any remote button press on any remote will trigger the amber light on the box to flash but the box would not respond. The box would just lock up at some random point, this most recent time while navigating My Shows. Live TV would still be playing in the preview window so the box is not totally locked up.
The only solution was to pull the plug, let the box reboot and then everything worked fine.
I called TiVo support and there have been no other reports of this according to them, but wanted to see if others have seen this or read about others with this issue. I do not want to swap out the box if this is potentially a software bug, but if most feel this is a hardware issue I will go the RMA route.
I figure if this is a software glitch a fix could potentially address this but the 90 day warranty window is something I do not want to miss out on.
Does Javadi not realize that Carrie and Saul will figure out in 15 seconds that he fed them different information about Brody? I guess the point is for them to fight about it. But he told them both that Brody didn't do it. I'm guessing that means he did it.
The actor playing Quinn is doing some excellent work this season.
The CIA power struggle is starting to resemble 24, with Saul playing the role of Jack Bauer. Only in reverse, policy-wise. Locking his future boss in the conference room pretty much cements him being done, doesn't it? Unless the President changes his mind about whom to appoint.
I could do without the Saul's marriage storyline.
Are we supposed to trust that Dar is on Saul's side now? I don't.
What does the episode title mean?
Just caught up with the 10/27 and 11/3 episodes of Talking Dead last night.
Quickly had to FF thru anything Marilyn Manson had to say just to have any hope of watching, then gave up around the half-hour mark and dropped that ep all together. Holy crap, what a train wreck! Why didn't they find some excuse to get him out of there after the first segment and try to save the hour?
Chris Jericho, on the other hand, was a great guest!
I haven't watched the 11/10 episode yet, but lets hope the producers learned something about having guests that help the show instead of torpedoing it!
Fooling around with the Mini, connected to XL4, both running current software. Haven't tested these all on the Premiers, too tired atm, but I think most of these happen on both.
under 'what to watch now'...
-the entries will show like 'live' 'xfinity' (on demand) and 'amazon' under the description, but there doesn't appear to be any way to select your source that I can discern, it just tries to tune the live tv channel when selecting the item. (why list em if you cant get to em?)
-when selected, some of them just drop you to live tv, back to whatever station you were tuned to last. Some of em go to strange places like music choice stations when it was a movie.
-it doesn't tell you anywhere what station the item is on, which would probably be better use of the space where the sources are shown, since you cant pick your source anyhow.
under 'browse tv and movies',
-under tv, suggestions... its empty. and then it suggests you 'hit enter to review thumbs', which is also empty. (this one does definitely work on the premiers)
-if you go into either collections or tv, then a category, then pick a item... it doesnt work well. movies seems to work fine. For a random example, pick tv, best comedies, then click on 'Cheers'. It shows tv, netflix and amazon as sources. But, when I go into the show, I get 'get a season pass' and 'record next episode' as the only choices, no way to get to netflix or amazon! (or hulu, etc). If you find a choice that live tv isnt available, your only option will be to make a wishlist, even if it is telling you there are other sources available.
My home network consists of a couple of Ruckus Zoneflex 7982 802.11n access points with an enterprise firewall sitting in front of a Comcast modem. I have three TiVo units and been using TiVo for many years and have never had any wireless issues - until I bought the Roamio Plus. Strangely the basic Roamio unit i also bought is having no connection issues.
After a reboot of the Roamio Plus everything works fine, and the wireless connection comes right up. After a few hours, however, the connection appears to fail and I get the dreaded message that the router has failed or the router is not reachable. I tried moving to a static IP address but this did not resolve the issue. The only reliable resolution to this problem is a reboot of the unit.
I opened a case with TiVo support weeks ago but there has been no resolution. I realize I could buy the old style TiVo 802.11n adapter which connects to the Ethernet port however I have been hoping that this would not be needed.
Currently running software version 18.104.22.168a-USA-6-848
Thanks for any suggestions.
Intense episode, No?
Really tired of Lizzy. I thought she had a plan taunting the Walker. I was wrong.
Carl was The Man.
Michonne needs to keep smiling.
The Governor - what will he do now? Maybe Carol will come back and get him.
I have problems downloading Shows from my Premiere Elite (XL4). The download transfer won't complete on my new MacBook Pro, OS X 10.9.
Think cTiVo people gave me a reason for my problem of incomplete TiVo Transfer transfers (and incomplete cTiVo transfers). Turns out that the problem Show had a glitch or burp when there was a momentary interruption of the audio/video (sound static and pixelation) at 7:38 into the recording. Guess if there is interruption in the TiVo recording, even for a second, I can forget about downloading the Show. cTiVo provided fast and outstanding support and their cTiVo app is great; it both downloads and converts the file format all in one.
Got my new Roamio basic hooked up yesterday, and all of my channels are coming in great OTA.
Tonight, however, a V52 error situation has cropped up. As soon as our recordings started, the 4th Tuner (Tuner 0) threw up the V52 error.
Stopped the recordings, reset the box, and started digging through some things.
I paused the show I was watching, then switched tuners to pull in another station. Everything was fine. Hit "Live TV" again and picked a 3rd channel, still fine. Sure enough, though, as soon as I went to the 4th tuner...BOOM a V52 error.
Diagnostics consistently shows that no matter what order I go in, it always ends up being "Tuner 0" showing no signal at all.
Is this a case of the internal splitter degrading my OTA signal to the point that the 4th tuner cannot pull in the picture, or will I be returning this unit?
I 've hacked my S3 and it's currently sitting at 11.0k. It sitting with a status of "pending restart" and every night it reboots, of course without updating. I decided to run Slicer 1.9 tonight as I did with the last update, but I get an error message that the /update files aren't found.
So, where are they kept when they're downloaded?
I just purchased the Roamio base model so that I could record OTA HD + Analog Cable. Here's my challenge... there is only 1 Coax input on the rear of the Roamio... Can anyone tell me if theres a way to combine an OTA Input and an Analog Cable input that connects to the Coax input?
I am moving over to tivo from WMC, and would like to confirm what I found in searches. Am I correct in noticing that TIVO does not use station logos in left side of guide? I see a space that looks like they could go there. Any add-ons to achieve? Logos would brighten a dull looking page.
Tivo doesn't use color backgrounds in guide fields for different types of shows like WMC?
In WMC guide I can move ahead several days and see show I want to record, hit record once or twice to record that episode or series and stay in the guide and grab any other show I want. This is real useful if you are several days ahead in the guide. With tivo if I am a few days ahead and ask to record I go through record setup but end up at current time in guide when complete. I have to then move forward and find where I left off. Am I missing something or is that how tivo works?
I've had at least a couple of completed downloads freeze up on me and refuse to play beyond a certain time. To be clear, these are not network errors happening during streaming or downloading - these were fully complete downloads that I was watching on my iPad. The last one reached 18 minute mark of a 1 hour episode and play just freezes at 18 min point. When I attempt to 30 sec skip it jumps to the end. If I slide the location bar beyond 18 min point it just sits where I dragged it to but it won't play. If click on "Done" button and then play show again it plays for a second and freezes again at same point. Playing the show on TiVo itself at that point I didn't notice any glitches at that point and it wasn't at a transition time say between the show and commercials.
My guess is these are encoding problems and sounds like classic behavior for programs with timestamp issues which you need to clean up with something like VideoRedo QS Fix before encoding them to avoid problems in the encoding.
Anyone else run into problems such as the above? I don't recall seeing posts here about this but perhaps I missed them.
Between this problem and the general problem of slow download speeds I'm not too thrilled with my Roamio Stream, and looks like sticking to the traditional TTG techniques for creating videos for iOS is more robust.
Is anyone else's plastic front panel loose? Mine is solidly attached on the left side, but on the right side, it's visibly more separated from the metal chassis (by about 1/8") and it's loose when I press in on it. I'm contemplating exchanging it under warranty, but that's somewhat pointless if they're all like that.
Hi- I have a tivo roamio basic and standalone stream. In home streaming worked wonderfully until a few weeks ago when updates were made for out of home streaming.
Now, when I stream to my ipad, the video stops every minute or so, for about 0.5 second, and then starts again. Anyone else having this problem? It's so annoying.,
We have had our new Tivo Roamio for over 2 weeks now and loving it! I don't know how we lived before it. Just a quick question....when you are watching a show from My Shows and you go back to my shows to browse how do I get back to the show I was watching without going back to it and hitting resume. When I click Live TV it takes me to a live show on TV. TIA
my problem: iPad cannot connect to Tivo boxes. sometimes it sees them on the network and i can almost get them talking to each other but it mostly fails.
my setup: Motorola 6782ac wireless modem with Moca. i have a Romio Pro and Premier XL4 both connected to the network via Moca. Tivo's are getting very good connections via Moca.
iPads are connected to the network via wireless. i have enabled remote control via network on both tivo boxes.
everything was working properly before i enabled the Moca network. i formerly had only a wireless network. i recently upgraded to this new Moca & wireless setup.
things i have already tried. deleting the tivo app on the iPad, rebooting and reinstalled the app. reboot the Tivo boxes. double checked the network remote setting.
consistant problem is the iPad cannot see the tivo boxes on the network, or it sees the boxes and will not accept the media access key.
i need some input, all input is greatly appreciated.
Question: has anyone used the six-tuner version of the Roamio on Comcast's Xfinity digital cable service successfully? And can I keep the CableCARD now used on my TiVo HD XL DVR?
I purchased a Roamio to replace my Premiere. To transfer the 140 season passes on my Premiere over to the Roamio, I used kmttg1p0i (which worked great, by the way!) I saved my Premiere season passes to a file, then applied that file to the Roamio. Once they were copied over, I pruned the season passes on the Roamio down to 104 season passes. So far, everything was going great.
At this point, I noticed that some of our kid's filler shows (Sesame Street, Superwhy, etc.) should probably be moved to the bottom. In the season pass manager, I moved three shows in the usual way (go to show, right-arrow, move to new position, left-arrow). On the fourth show, I accidentally right-arrowed again when the show was already selected to be moved. This brought up a "Still Updating" dialog, then it took me to a detailed information page for that show. When I left-arrowed to exit that page and get back to the season pass list, I found that my season pass list was scrambled!
At this point, I used kmttg to save the newly scrambled season passes to a file. Using some data processing, I was able to compare the two files and see how the entries in the scrambled file were positioned in the original file (factoring out the 36 season passes first). Here are the results:
You can see that the top and bottom halves of the list seem to have been roughly swapped, rather than the list being truly randomly scrambled. I'm not sure why this happened, and I can't reproduce it. I thought perhaps something about the kmttg transfer might have caused this, so I even deleted all season passes from the Roamio and repeated the transfer of all season passes from the Premiere to the Roamio with kmttg, but that didn't reproduce it.
This is just a heads-up to keep an eye on your season pass order when you edit them, just to be safe...
I received my Roamio Pro on October 31st and it was working fine up until 2 days ago. The last 2 days in a row when I turned my TV on around 5pm the TiVo video was frozen and the front panel green/yellow button would not work. I had to unplug and replug the TiVo in to get it back and things where fine until the next day and same thing again.
The only thing that changed was I received a 2nd remote, I leave one near my bed and one near my couch. When I received the 2nd remote it worked just like the first in RF mode. Only difference I notice is when I push the remote finder button on the TiVo only the original remote makes the sounds. Both remotes are working in RF though.
Does anyone know if this could be causing the lockup? I took the batteries out of the new remote and am going to see if it is locked up again tomorrow. Not sure what else could be causing it.
My cat always sleeps on top of it but he always slept on the Premiere and that was never an issue. Plus it was fine for a whole week until I got a 2nd remote.
Anyone else have anything like this happen?
