Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and honestly a bit overwhelmed by all the options on the Tivo front.
I'm starting to move around ebay because I have identified that I want a lifetime subscription and at least 2 tuners + HD.... for less than $350 if possible.
Does anyone have any suggestions or am I crazy for trying to accomplish this?
Also, what line should I be targeting?
Don't see any episode threads for this, so I thought I'd create one for the season. If anyone wants to create an episode by episode thread, please do so.

hi, I have a Samsung series 2 sir-s4080r receiver. just bought it off ebay. the seller said it had not been use for a couple of year. I can't get it make a call to update the software. it has 6.3e-01-2-381 in it. when testing the phone line it will say dialing failed, phone is busy. I checked the line with a good phone, it has dial tone so the problem is not the phone line. the receiver does not give me the option to force it to make a call like my other Samsung receiver. please help if you can.

Since TiVo pushed the .oM update, my S3 648250 OLED has not completed GC every other day to 3 days, as it did before the push. And this is with the tuning adapter turned off for 4 hours daily.
I started seeing the running out of guide data message on Saturday 12Oct13.
I left the tuning adapter off for 6 hours; GC still did not complete.
Last night I unplugged the tuning adapter at 10pm (PST) and finally GC completed this morning around 6am (PST).
The problem with this aproach is that it could cost you more money for fewer channels. On the other side of the coin, I would love to get rid of all the sports channels and reduce my bill.
I NEVER watch sports and they are the most expensive channels in the line-up.

We just caught up and watch all the episodes from this season yesterday and I'm still having pretty much fun with this show. Neverland is a nice change of venues.
Peter Pan is shaping up to be an interesting character. Who knows what his real motivations right now are, but it appears he's trying to get Henry to want to stay with him. And Rumple ripping off his shadow is bound to have consequences.
I like the twist that Regina and Robin Hood are the two who are meant to find love together. What an odd couple that could turn out to be!
Mulan being lesbian and falling in love with Sleeping Beauty just seemed a bit too much to me though.
My Roamio did a random reboot last week at approximately 9PM at night. I sat down to watch TV...turned it to "live tv" and within a few seconds, it restarted. There were 2 active recordings at the time that got split in half /missed a few minutes (reboot time).
Has anyone else seen this behavior?
Is there any way to find out WHY the box rebooted?
Anyone know what a 2 tuner Premiere XL with lifetime is going for these days? I have an extra one and I'm trying to decide if it's worth selling or if I should give it to a family member.
On my roamio, if I setup a repeat manual recording, when going to the season pass manager and selecting the item, there is no direct way to see the recording time, beginning /end, nor is there a way to change the time(s).
I Suggest that the info panel include the begin and end time, plus a choice to change the parameters of the manual repeat. I Suggest the same display for setting up the repeat manual recording be available to change any of the particulars, including the times, channel, etc.
The only way now, that I can see, to tell the time of the repeat recording is to select upcoming shows wherein it will show a start time, but no end time.
Is anyone else having trouble with pushes on Series 3 TiVos? I have a Premiere, two S3s, and a THD. Pushes are working just fine to the Premiere, but fail without errors on all three Series 3 class machines. This is looking like a mind server issue, but only with Series 3 machines.
I use kmttg for many purposes. I keep it running on my laptop while watching sports. Here I setup the skip minutes ahead to 2.
I've seen the code for this and it appears it would be quite easy to accept fractional values, such as 2.5 for 2:30 in time.
I already use negative values in skip back, so I can have multiple values for skipping forward. If both the skip back and skip forward permitted decimal values, I could have a skip back 30 seconds by entering .5.
In addition, if one were to enter + or - in the jump to minute field, e.g. +2 then this could be interpreted to mean a jump ahead, and say, -.5 would be go back 30 seconds.
With rather simple code changes, one could use these 3 comands in several additional ways.
Unfortunately, I'm not a java programmer, or I would present the code.
Setup is a roamio pro fed to a onkyo receiver - Verizon FIOS. Getting momentary audio cut out ONLY on A&E HD. It is happening once a minute.
Does not happen on the SD version of A&E. It happens on both HDMI and a digital audio cable. Recorded show from the channel also has the cut outs. It also only seems to be when I have dolby enabled. If I switch to PCM is seems fine.
Trying to determine if it is the source or my setup. It is the only channel it is happening on. I've tried attenuators, switching splitters, rebooting the ONT. Rebooting the tivo. I only started noticing it since the recent software update. Anyone else experiencing anything like this? Any ideas?
I have two original Tivo S3's. The first one's HDD died two years ago; I upgraded it with a WeaKnees kit.
The second one's HDD died recently, so I did the same thing. But now, on the one I upgraded today, I have no 'Video on Demand.' When I click that line on Tivo Central, the screen changes, then comes right back to Tivo Central.
Same thing happens if I go into the 'Now Playing List' and choose Netflix...screen changes, then returns without actually going to Netflix.
Everything else is working fine. I can transfer programs from the other S3, play back shows, etc.
On my other S3, connected to the same network, sitting side-by-side with the one having problems, it's fine. Shows the whole VOD page, with my options like Amazon, Netflix, etc.
Both are connected with CAT5 ethernet...not wifi.
Is there a setting I missed?
For first time tonight Netflix stopped working on my Roamio. I get an error code UI-113 each time. Netflix works on all my other devices on my network. It has to be something with Roamio. Can I reinstall Netflix app? No idea what do to.
Glad it's back, but this show is really difficult to watch live.
The freaking commercials during this show are killing me. I can barely tolerate the Walking Dead. The commercials are way scarier. Make them stop!!!
Does anyone know if the Roamio streaming features work with HD channels with Cox in Phoenix?
My Series 3 just died and I'm considering a Roamio to replace it, but /i believe Cox broadcast flags pretty much all HD in Phoenix, breaking every feature beyond basic recording.
But perhaps something changed, so doesn't hurt to ask.
Well that really sucked. They never made it out of the airport.
I was really hoping for a non-elimination leg.

It's not a local network thing, AFAIK. Last successful update was at 5:34 pm CST, and nothing's changed at all since then, yet both Tivos are now reporting 'failed while negotiating', 'unrecoverable error' when trying to connect to the Tivo Service?
