one million dollars! oh my mister wonderful had a field day there. i was shocked masks are worth that much to someone. must be in the licensing deals. wish the presenter cleaned off his nose, didnt look so good just keeping that bit on him
2 bucks per tent when they cost about 5 or 6 to make seems a bit high to me? could kev really think he would get that? the dura tent name was stupid though and his reasoning for keeping it that name was wrong.
also the name of the kids shampoo should be changed, i understand why the presenter wanted it to be 'higher class' looking but sometimes you need to stay with the fun kids stuff for it to be popular. i do think the labeling had a sort of snob appeal
beer video...buzzzzzzz...wow even i knew that was bad. not worth discussing
i do like the flashbacks and i'm glad the squirrel girls are doing well.
One thing I find quite frustrating is that the actual box and online/web UI do not sync in a timely fashion.
I have recordings made yesterday and STILL do not appear in https://www3.tivo.com/
... MY SHOWS
It would be nice if there were a button on the website that could ping the box and force update the lists. Yes, I know one can physically go to the box and do it that way (Settings/Network/Connect) but it should not be so difficult.
Even an option for automatically updating once an hour or something would be better than the (seemingly) once every 24 hours it takes the two to sync.
That was pretty wild w/the girl showing up in a wedding dress. I was surprised that she wasn't wedding dress designer.
The drunk girl was a hoot.
I was surprised to see Kacie and Paige.
From the roses that were handed out before the ceremony, it seems he prefers brunettes.
I wonder if I can edit the title after people reply to it.
OK, my 30 second skip button on my THR22 unit stopped working yesterday and still won't work. It showed the progress button when I push it, but nothing happens unless I hold it down and force it to go to the end. I can go to the settings (Step 4) and it still shows that it should be enabled. I'm assuming the SPS trick doesn't work on the new HD units. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there and easy fix or should I just reset the unit and hope for the best?
im looking to hook up my series3 HD wirelessly to my network, ive noticed a few people talking about using aftermarket adapters on the tv, i think the official adapter they sell are WAAY over priced, i tryed search and haven't really found anything, can i pretty much use any one?
I am in the military overseas trying to help my parents out with their Tivo. I saw a post very similar to the issue they are having but it wasn't answered.
The issues is in the last month, the Tivo seems to lock up and eventually reboot when they view or record HD channels. Non-HD channels have no problems at all. By "lock up" I mean the picture sometimes freezes, the remote becomes non-responsive, and sometimes they just have a black screen. When the remote does respond, sometimes the menus take an extremely long time to populate, or to transition from one to another.
When recording, the Tivo records the HD show in a series of "partials" with significant gaps between them. Sometimes it reboots as they watch - again while either they are watching an HD channel or Tivo is recording one while we watch something else.
The internal hard drive has been upgraded to 1TB but is not making any noises (screeching or popping).
Time Warner Cable was in the house a couple of weeks ago and changed out the CableCard so that isn't the issue.
The problems I can see that it might be are:
Bad hard drive - although it seems strange that SD channels will record and play just fine
Signal Strength - although the TivoHD was working fine for 4 years until recently and all on the same cable feed
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
my 2nd tuner stopped working on my DirecTivo THR22-100 and tech support said it is a known problem that many people are experiencing and that they are working on it?!?
Anybody else having this issue and were you told the same thing?
It is strange that it just started happening and now it's a known issue....seems like maybe there was a software update that went wrong.
Need help on how to turn on my element 3210 hdmi tv with no remote and the touch bottom on tv is broken as well??????
There don't seem to be episode threads much this season, so thought with the new year I'd start a thread for the rest of the second season.
Episode 10 "Power"
Wow, Victoria is willing to let Emily back in?
I love Nolan. His Remington Steele comment cracked me up.
Jack is just too dumb to live. He and Declan don't have a brain between them.
I'm a bit lost on who the woman is feeding Daniel info. Is she from 'the initiative'? What's her goal?
I had TiVo years ago with DirecTV and really miss it.
I have Uverse now but am just starting to consider switching to TiVo and Xfinity but I have a few questions:
1. I have 3 TVs. If I have TiVo on one and Xfinity boxes on the other two how will that work?
2. I read in an Amazon review of the Premium TiVo that there is a lot of TiVo generated advertising. Is that the case and is it a problem?
3. Does the new TiVo work as well as the old DirecTV TiVo's as far as Wish List and scheduling programs? Anything new that will blow me away.
4. With Uverse they advertise recording 4 HD shows at the same time. Turns out it all depends on the copper length to your house. I get 2 HD and one SD stream. Are there any similar gotcha's with Xfininty?
5. I hear rumors of a 6 tuner TiVo. Sill Xfinity support that?
Any other thoughts or suggestions regarding switching from Uverse to Xfinity and TiVo?
This is my first time posting to the forums and this seems like a good place to start. This is my first TiVo issue after having 2 boxes. The past few weeks ago, we experienced an ice storm and when they were repairing the power lines it made my power flicker like crazy. Since this issue my TiVo informed me it needed me to download program info. This is when the so3 error occurred. A few days ago I was messing around with my surge protector and changed my coaxials. Now. The TiVo won't even show basic channels. I even plugged up the coax to the tv and it appears to be working fine. Here is a list of things I have done. Hard and soft reset, completed guided setup, called cable company and requested signal reboot. The TiVo is the hundred dollar model from bestbuy and I have a western digital 1tb, expandable hd. The next attempt I am going to try is a complete factory reset. Anyone got some suggestions?
Ps. I have also tried the pause 57 trick, and all it did was put me thru guided setup
Is It Possible To ...
Connect an old (very old television) with AV cables to BOTH a Tivo Premiere and a Roku??
The Tivo's been working fine since last Fall.
I found a Roku on Craigslist for a good price and thought I'd try hooking it up; but, there is the whole cable limitation issue.
Anyone got any ideas?? Kind of hard to do a Google search when I don't know what I'm looking for :p
I've gotten more into downloaded videos, from Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon. I've been having some problems with Amazon, but even when it works, it takes awhile to download. But Hulu and Netflix stream down with no problem. If I download a torrent, its slower than Netflix or Hulu. What governs download speeds?
If I replace the power supply and hard drive in my Tivo HD will I mess up my Lifetime Service contract?
Because 1080 isn’t a big enough number, Stream TV Networks wants to go 2160. Ultra-D 2160p, that is. The proposed new format is higher resolution than HD, but also provides a 3D video effect sans the glasses. According to Stream TV, the technology uses a multi-layer optical system (Um?), and is based on proprietary hardware, [...]
What happens if you add duplicates on SPs - is it smart enough to only record it once - or does it record two?
MONDAY – Bunheads (Season Premiere) – ABC Family – 9PM While the studio closed down at the end of last season, the dreams of our favorite dancers are not shattered. We can’t wait to see how the whole gang gets back together. TUESDAY – Cougar Town (Season Premiere) – TBS – 9PM ABC dropped the show and thankfully TBS picked it up. Courtney Cox is back and hotter than ever in one of the quirkiest comedies of this decade. The concept of the show is hanging on a Continue Reading
Haven given up on the Gypsy lifestyle and once again returned to home ownership, I’ve been on the lookout for ways to geekify our new pad. And while CES is inundated with health gadgets, I’m more interested in home automation… perhaps sleeker and simpler than existing Insteon or Zigee solutions. Of course, that’s how I [...]
