After much anticipation, the Lifeproof frē ($80) arrived at Best Buy last week. Like its predecessor, this iPhone 5 case is designed to protect your smartphone from dirt, water, and drops… in a much more svelte form factor than the fairly well known ruggedized Otterbox line. Yet, while Lifeproof’s marketing materials are compelling, I don’t have much confidence [...]
Whaaaaaat???? Cora is the Queen of Hearts???? Who saw THAT coming!?!?!
Glad they tied up a few loose ends:
How Cora got out of Wonderland.
How the corner of FTL was untouched by the curse.
How Hook took Aurora's heart.
How people can readily tied up their defenseless friends and leave them behind to die.
How dwarves stand too close when other people are kissing. :)
A co-worker wondered "How did Gold know that the returnees would emerge at the well?" Beats me!
And where did Hook's ship come from? He had a beanstalk seed portal activator... how did all of that work?
So does anyone know what happened to Megazone?
Seems like I haven't seen any posts by him in awhile and nothing new on his blog since last July.
The TiVo guy with the smile that never fades, our iconic remote with the colorful buttons, the ability to pause your favorite scenes to make a meme or two; these are some of the things that TiVo users have grown to love about us. With Instagram’s ability to capture any moment and share it instantly, our fans have found yet another way to outwardly express this love and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it! Whether your picture is for a good chuckle or to warm the heart, we want Continue Reading
i no longer have directv but saw they are starting it in january. i do remember in the beginning it was great..then it sucked..then it went to being ok...then it was time for it to die
but i would like to see the 1st season again for sure
I used to have one of the old DrirecTivos and i loved it. how are the new ones? do they have all the Tivo Premier ability like Netflix and ect or are they striped down versions?
I have an LG TV with a magic wand remote that requires two button presses to change inputs. Programming the THR22 remote will bring up the input source screen but I have no way of hitting "enter" to then select the input.
This THR22 is located behind a wall, so getting another universal remote would require getting an RF remote and I'm not interested in spending that type of money for this setup. It's an outside TV that we don't use that often.
Is there a solution for this issue?
When I turned on my Premiere XL4 this morning the black and gray cable card screen was displayed. it said "Firmware update failed". It would not respond to remote commands at all. I check my regular 2 tuner Premiere in my den and it was the same. I pulled the plug on both and they rebooted. After they came to the menus both units just keep flashing back and forth between the menus and cablecard screens. The update progress was increasing so I just let them run. After about 20 minutes the menus came back and everything worked fine. Anyone else have a firmware update? I have Time Warner Cable in Central NY.
I am using Tivo Premiere/Streambaby for streaming MP4 files.
Most of the time it works fine, however, I am noticing a slowdown with some of my larger sized MP4 videos. I try to use handbrake but sometimes it will not convert the entire video file.
So I purchased Aimersoft Video Converter to convert larger MKV files to MP4 with the standard Aimersoft settings.
While it does work, I am noticing the video playback just stops and then I have to press the play button every few seconds to get the video to keep playing.
Are there any suggestions for settings I should change which would avoid the pause when streaming MP4 video files?
Please help. Thanks.
I love my TiVo, I always rave on about how great it is that it will record something if I haven't seen ads advertising it is on (if its in my todo list obviously) except, I'm getting sick and tired as to why it has not recorded the last 2 episodes of a season I have always had it set to record. But it has no problem recording other shows. Why does TiVo do this? It's rather frustrating and annoying!
P.s. there have been other occasions where this randomly happens too
I have been clearing out old TiVo stuff, and I came across a TiVo Series 2, model TCD540080. This one works just like a normal 540 series, but it has an AT&T Broadband case on it. The remote is a standard Series 2 remote, which matches the color of the TiVo box.
I put an 80GB drive in it and it updated to the latest TiVo software just fine.
I'm asking $25. I'll include a USB to ethernet adapter. No, it does not have lifetime service.
Any offers considered.
Just switched out our old SD Tivo R10 boxes for new TivoHD units and hd dish install. The new boxes are fine, couldn't be happier.
The third receiver had always been an old SD receiver (with no dvr function). It worked fine after the HD changeover (naturally as an SD receiver).
Tonight I decided to switch out this box and put back into operation one of our old R10 boxes. CAlled DTV, gave them the card number etc, but during setup, it fails to acknowledge 1 out of the three transponders. We tried different configurations of dish type, lines in, but it does not work. No one at DTV can help.
Am I wasting my time? Will the R10 just not work on an HD dish setup?? Am I missing some sort of splitter/multiswitch/gizmo that was present in the old SD dish setup, that is now not there?
Finally.........should I even bother with the R10, with those restarts I was experiencing a month ago, or was this issue fixed?
EDIT - from another forum it appears the R10 is not compatible since I am now using SWIM splitters. It mentions using a 'legacy port' but I am lost.
I just hooked up a new tiro premier in our bedroom, but I can not get any channels to come through. If I click the live TV button on the remote, a screen showing a progress bar and "scanning for channels" shows but never completes. It has been plugged in for a few days. I do have a M-card already installed in it that we picked up from the cable company (Cox).
They mentioned that I might need a decoder. I'll probably be callign them tomorrow, but I wanted to check here first to see if I'm missing something. I would have expected at least non-HD channels to come through, but I get nothing.
Note that if I hook up the cable straight to the TV, I do get all the normal non-HD channels that I used to get.
Thanks for any help.
I really hope so... I think TiVo needs to release a unit w/ all of their user friendliness, but with more power + features.
I have two units with lifetime subscriptions, and I have a premiere w/ a monthly subscription. It used to be $14.99, and I noticed it was $19.99 last month on my credit card. I forgot to follow up, but I see another $19.99 charge just posted. WTF? So I went online, and I've verified that yes - I do have 3 TiVos in my account, and when I went to the monthly service section, there's no option to select a multi service discount. Anyone else had this issue?
Is tivo ever going to fix their netflix app.It is very frustrating to have purchased two tivos to use with OTA, netflix and hulu and then have to deal with the apps not working 90% of the time. Having to reboot the tivo and hoping the app will work. It is not my internet connection, it works fine on my roku. Yes I could use my roku but I bought two tivos for a one box solution. Tivo does not seem to care about their customers problems with these apps. They try to blame netflix and netlflix blames them. They have been less than helpful when I have contacted them. Tivo unless you want to get a less than favorable reputation in the industry you need to take these problems seriously and not just blow off your paying customers.
Ok, I am so confused about moca and I need help!
I want to buy one, so I can use the stream one day, but im really confused.
I have a room in the basement. The router and modem are upstairs and there is no way to get an ethernet cable down to the basement or reach the modem or router.
I have comcast, and one little cable outlet thing behind my tv setup. from what I am understanding, can I buy a single moca adapter, plug it into my tivo, and then connect the coax cable from the adapter to the wall? is that how it works. please explain it relatively simple. I'm no good at networking!
thanks so much!
Maybe I'm among the last watching this show, but the last couple episodes have been fun for me.
They sure have been giving Dwight a lot of screen time. He has been much more interesting than Andy lately so this is a good thing.
The guest star last week (no spoilers) was a lot of fun.
The last 60 seconds of "The Target" with Angela and Dwight asking questions of Toby was a riot.
