And so it begins. Let's put the OAD and episode title in the post title (or in the beginning of your post, if you can't load the post title) for the first post about the new episode each week. It makes it easier when people are not caught up to the current episode.
All-Stars really bugs me -- it's just not as satisfying as the original show -- but it's like a train-wreck, I can't help watching.
And of course the producers have gone out of their way to load the show with designers I really wanted to see again -- and designers I never wanted to see again.
Three former winners? Seriously, PR?
Is anyone else game for this?
I'm sure everyone is exited to try the OOH streaming, but I'm still having issues in home.
Streaming is generally very high quality (HD), but freezes often. Usually every 5 to 10 seconds. My wifi speed is generally excellent. I have one of the newer Asus AC routers (RT-AC66U).
The router config is pretty much stock (no QoS enabled or anything). This issue seems to happen regardless of other network traffic.
Anyone else having this problem or have suggestions on settings? Am I right in suspecting the router is a problem? As it exists not, the streaming is pretty much useless for me.
I have the entry level Roamio w/a Tivo Stream add-on box. After I installed Tivo Stream the regular high speed scrubbing no longer works in the Tivo ipad App. The new scrub bar for "Watch on iPad" works fine. But the scrub bar for watching TV using the Tive IOS Remote app doesn't work. Moving the bar does nothing.

What internet dealer can I get a Roamio for less than $150 shipped free to California (from outside the state) to avoid the sales tax?
Looks like he's going to be called The Arrow from now on. I'd still prefer Green Arrow but anything's better than The Hood or The Vigilante.
Laurel's father was standing five feet from The Arrow for about half the show and he still couldn't figure out it's Oliver.
Would I know who the blonde woman hero is if I read the comics?
By way of the FCC (1, 2), we’ve learned a new TiVo remote and RF USB dongle are on the way. While the rear looks quite similar to the new TiVo Roamio remote, due to a short term confidentiality request, we’re unable to confirm if this is the incoming Roamio Slide with QWERTY keyboard or [...]

I am seeing a strange behavior on my Roamio Pro and wonder if anyone else can reproduce it. I am wondering if it might be related to the Cisco TA issues, discussed in this thread: http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb...d.php?t=509579
If I have recordings in progress and I reboot or restart, the recordings do not resume after the Roamio completes it's restart.
I also get an odd message in History that I do not recall seeing before in the Premiere.
The message is Not Recorded - "Problem Getting Tuner"
Can anyone reproduce this, especially anyone with a Cisco TA?
Support.tivo.com only returns 404 error. This is a perfect description of what Tivo has become.
Did the download feature of the TiVo app get broken with the latest TiVo streaming update?
I was previously able to download hour-long, HD TV shows in near real-time without difficulty. Now, it's downloading very low quality, and times-out numerous times while struggling to download a show.
Is anyone else having this problem?
The Roamio did not come with operating instructions. Is there a user guide I can download?
I used to have the series 3 but there are some interface differences.
.. Some of the title on season pass manager list are in a white font and a few are a dimmer gray. What does that mean?
.under "my shows", what does the red circle to the left of a title mean? What about a green dot? A blue dot?
Where can I find this info!
Anyone else having problems streaming Netflix tonight? I'm not able to connect via TiVo, although connecting from my computer works fine. I've tried rebooting the TiVo and disconnecting the Netflix account; now when I try to re-connect Netflix I get the same error about not being able to connect.
I have been using tivoplaylist successfully for years. 2 days ago it appeared to crash and it dissappeared and my virus software said it had a virus. i reinstalled it after turning my virus software off. Successfully transferred a show and then turned off my computer. I turned it back on the next day opened tivoplaylist and it crashed with the same virus message. I am using avast as my antivirus program. Has anyone had the same problem???? could it all of a sudden have a virus???? I am currently using tivo desktop but it is so slow.
I wanted to report on the capabilities of the OOH stream on just a cellular connection.
While you cannot initiate a direct stream over a cellular connection, you can start a download and begin watching after just a few moments.
Start a recording -> initiate a download to your IOS device -> start watching
So while we are waiting for Apple to approve streaming for LTE connected devices, TiVo has given us a very robust work around that gives full functionality when on the road!
Sometimes I am watching a currently airing show and something comes up and I need to leave.
If I press record this episode, it includes the previous 30 minutes and makes it more difficult to find the point I left off.
I have gotten into the habit of changing the channel and then coming back to clear out the buffer so the 30 minutes is no longer included, but I was curious if Tivo already had a way to record without the 30 minutes.
I would like to be able to trim a video on the Tivo without having to use a computer.
Periodically I see something that I want to save for later and press record.
However, it saves the prior 30 minutes also. I need just a few of the minutes that I just watched.
If I could later trim the beginning off so that the snippet begins at the point I want to watch.
It's not so much the space but not having to FF through the program to find the spot I want to watch.
Renaming these snippets would also be nice so I know what they are later.
I do not know if anyone cares but on Oct 29 on TLC at 9PM the show returns. I only live down the street from them, so my wife likes the show. I like seeing the places they go that we also go to. :-)
NBC has given a put pilot committment to a Murder, She Wrote reboot starring Oscar winner Octavia Spencer (The Help), our sister site Deadline reports.
Alexandra Cunningham (Desperate Housewives, Prime Suspect) will write — and executive produce with David Janollari — the project, which will put a new twist on CBS’ long-running smash. Spencer’s character is described by Deadline as “a hospital administrator and amateur sleuth who self-publishes her first mystery novel” and sets out to help solve real-life crimes.
They really need to stop with the reboots. Bionic Woman, Knight Rider, V, Ironside, Mockingbird Lane (The Munsters), Charlie's Angels.
In the Google Play store I see the TiVo app, DVR Commander by Anthony Lieuallen, and Network Remote for Tivo by Matthew Kennedy. I have a Roamio Basic if it matters.
I have the base four tuner Roamio than I connect to our network wirelessly with a N level router. The connection works well enough, but not perfectly. While I can always get HD on Netflix, youtube usually looks terrible, and TiVo service search results often run into extended sessions with the good old wheel of patience. None of this is a huge deal on its own, but all too frequently, probably daily on average, I get the C133 error and need to unplug and replug my router. Using Ethernet cords is not preferable to just simply dealing with these problems so we have left the situation well enough alone.
Is MoCa? I know next to nothing about the tech, but the little I have read seems like sorcery. I buy one and suddenly the cable in my wall also transmits internet? This is witchcraft. Could someone explain to me what exactly I'd need to buy and how I would hook it up? Also, what are the pros and cons? Thank you.
