Last night another hiccup from the electric company. Power was down for a few seconds. Tivo came back but it took about seven minutes for recording to resume (seven minutes including the idiotic cartoon). PCs, smartphones, tablets all can boot in about a minute (or less). Tivo has always taken a long time. Why? Tivo has been on the market for about 13 years. You'd think this is something they could have solved by now.
Yes, I know about UPS. Still, there's no reason why a reboot should take seven minutes. And don't add insult to injury with a Tivo cartoon and a THX cartoom (much as I like George Lucas, I don't need the cartoon).

I could not find any help by searching...
I had MOCA set up and working perfectly with a Tivo Premiere 4 and the Tivo Mini. I decided to install a POE Filter but as soon as I did I started having problems with the Tivo. I installed the POE Filter at the OnQ box in my closet where the incoming coax goes to splitter. When I installed the filter... my internet and MOCA along with my tv's that have just basic cable; they were all working.
My issue is now what appears to be my tuning adapter. I can access some channels on my Tivo but not you premium network channels, like HBO & USA. When I disconnect the filter, these channels start right away.
What am I missing?
I have another S3 OLED unit with lifetime that is fully functional. $300 + shipping if anyone interested. I have the original box, manuals, and remote.
Following the update this week I'm having a weird problem. I have a Season Pass for Fast Money every night at 5 p.m. Set for Record New. It only has a generic program description, but always shows up in the listings as NEW.
It has not recorded the last two days. I checked the History and it shows it with the NEW flag, but was not recorded since it was a Duplicate.
When I checked the upcoming episodes it only shows today, not any of the episodes shown in the Guide for the next 10 days.
So our tuning adapter crapped out last night and this didn't record fully. I guess I can watch on ABC.com...
How was it? :)
Anybody know what the update was that got pushed last night? I happened to be up about 3:15 AM and every Tivo was updating (recording light on but no show being recorded) - even the S2.
Just put up one of two Lifetimed 2-tuner Premieres in pristine shape. Each has a brand new 2TB WD EURS drive (april 2013 mfg). Starting bid is $399, or Buy in Now for $550.
Second one will go up over the weekend.
I also have a non-lifetimed S2 (early model), and a non-lifetimed S2DT (which I will be upgrading to 200 GB), and 2 Sony SAT-T60s (upgraded) that I am getting rid of. PM me if you are interested in any of these.

As a huge fan of Fringe, I have to say this is the show I am looking forward to the most. Hopefully, it is well done and has a decent audience and it can tell the story the creators want to tell.
Here is the trailer:
i hope right date. it's the grilled cheese one
i love how those guys put the sharks in their place. we have over 1 mill in sales so there (insert stickout tongue smiley).
the dog food...well...i was impressed the kid knew his numbers
the dating site girl...i think the owner being available is brilliant..guys will pay for the chance to date her lol. but i sure wouldnt ever want to invest in a dating site. and what was that..1000 for 3 dates...craziness. and 100 per month i guess keeps out the riff raff..or at least the poor ones. i think we really missed a lot here due to the edit
the language thing was also pretty interesting, i had no idea mark was so diversified. i'm assuming the market for this kind of thing is pretty good so hope it does well.
There were certainly some interesting characters and offerings! From beaver tail to alligator to bear to crickets.
I loved the 'Mad & cheese with a twist."
What's the twist?
Large spray of yellow from Ramsay's mouth!!
Wow! No thread? What happened?
Elliot gets screwed by Junior. I've no sympathy for Elliot, but that's TWO people Junior has pissed off this season! I'm not sure if he realized that when the show aired (if not before), they would know what he's done!
Edgar has a real decision to make. He has no choice but to fire Jake. There's no doubt that Jake lost it and threw the first punch. However, he's been with the Hansens forever and the job offer would almost certainly be withdrawn when it becomes known that he has a temper! Of course, they're keeping us waiting to know the outcome.
I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere, but I am assuming a mini can't interact at all with a Series 3 Tivo, correct? I'm thinking mainly because a Series 3 can only do multi-room "transferring" and not "streaming". Is this about right or can the mini interact with a Series 3 somehow in another way?
I have a few Series 3 lifetimes that are basically just being used as cable boxes in a basement. Not heavily used, but I do use their storage to record some shows. Free up space on my main level Premieres. Then multi-room transfer as needed over my (hard wired) home network.
If I had a 4-tuner Premiere and mini in my set-up, the mini would not then be able to view ANY material recorded on any of the Series 3, right? I realize I could probably "transfer" content from a Series 3 to a Premiere and then "stream" it from the Premiere to a mini, but is there maybe some other functions the mini can do with a Series 3?
I was just watching Disney Junior with my daughter when a strange popup occurred on Tivo, A firmware update is available and starting now. So far, holding at 0% Completed. I wonder what is going on now. Are we unblocking channels or locking the rest of the 100 and below out.
Last message indicated "Image Block Collection Completed"
Flashing Memory now..
Other then the Cisco cablecard functioning I don't see any physical changes to indicate a problem or issue to block additional recording. Everything on 102 TheHub is protected and so is Sprout.
Push Notification is unavailable in the Tapatalk 2 mobile app. After an issue report was made to Tapatalk a Tapatalk developer replied stating the issue has been identified as the forum software is not supported. Tivocommunity is using VB version 3.6. Tapatalk minimum requirement is VB 3.7.
Hi: Over the years I have built up quit a list of favorite Actors, Directors and such. How do I save all this and move to a new TiVo?
