I just noticed that after the Fall 2013 update to version 220.127.116.11a that I can no longer navigate to future date or time when the TiVo Guide is in the 'Grid Guide' mode. I was wondering if anybody else is having this?
Well, this has been going on since yesterday. The site is so slow that it is hard to schedule anything online!
I recorded this from DTV on Friday, and just got around to watch it this morning. It lists it as 2 hours long, and it started right on time, but it ended abruptly after the 2 hour recording. I wonder if Discover put in too many commercials.
Looking at the listings for Tonight, they both show 2 hours also. I guess I'll try again, but pad it by a hour just to be sure. This is the first time I've had that happen when the show didn't have its start delayed.
Hello, I just got my Roamio Pro Friday. Everything is going great. Got all of my season passes and recordings transferred from my other TiVo's. All is good...
Now I'm trying to figure out how to use Xfinity and HBO OD. I go to Xfinity, pick a program to watch, go to watch now, and it starts but then freezes at the opening screen. I hear about 2 seconds of audio then nothing. Pausing and FF does nothing. The same happens when I try HBO OD. It just stops at the HBO OD screen. It says that I have it rented for 24 hours etc.
Is this a streaming issue? I have a download of about 7mbps, .75mbps upload, 26 ping on CenturyLink. I pay for 12mbps. I'm not at all sure of what I need for streaming video.
Thanks, Mike, Issaquah WA
I just set up my new Roamio Pro, and I'm seeing a bunch of programs in my Wishlist Searches > All Upcoming that don't make sense. All of my wishlists are set up as title searches, and I'm getting results with titles that have nothing to do with the titles I have input.
A) is there some way to tell which wishlist resulted in a particular recording (without going through all of my wishlists to check each one's "upcoming" list)?
B) is it possible that these are tivo suggestions and that they are shown in the same list as wishlist results? if so, that would be weird because some of them are "kept until deleted"
Have a TiVo HD on software 11.0m-01-2-652 with an Onkyo receiver. I'm using a standard TiVo peanut rewrote.
The screens on the TiVo only say that the remote can control AV volume and mute (no mention of receiver power), but can't it control receiver power as well? No matter what code I try, it only controls volume and mute but never the receiver power. What am I missing?
Today's Best Buy ad. $50 gift card with purchase of TiVo Roamio @$199.99.
I have TiVo premiere with Time Warner Cable in Ohio.
Is there a way to turn off the channels I don't get so my wife/kids stop trying to record programs which are not available.
We don't get any of the premium or other channels but they appear in the guide and can be selected to record.
I am thinking there must be a way to do this without individually removing each channel which would take quite a while.
Please let me know. Thank you.
Chuck Lorre, the creator, had been after me a couple times to do various shows, but for one reason or another, we never got around to it. When he came to me in January for his annual turndown, I told him Id do Big Bang if it was a recurring character that comes back a couple times and that its all in front of a live audience. Thats the only way I know how to do it. Laugh tracks turn me off. The acting is better when you know your material is being judged.
(Hopefully you don't have to be a subscriber, which I am)
How do you tell the difference just by looking at them?
I thought all Glo remotes were learning remotes, but tivo.com seems to indicate otherwise.
Does anybody actually know what is (not) being done when a Roamio is stuck on the "Acquiring Channel Information" screen with 75% complete?
My new Roamio had previously been stuck on 50% and Tivo support told me to call my cable company and get them to send a tech. So after I got off the phone with my appointment scheduled, for fun, I did the full factory reset and repeated Guided Setup.
Now I'm stuck on 75%. So I infer the 50% mark meant that the cable card and guided setup were not in agreement (which I wish Tivo support would have said, or told me to repeat setup, but oh well)
So: what does 75% complete need in order to complete? Does anybody know?
I tried to order tonight's UFC card on Time Warner Cable here in NY. I called it in like normal about an hour before and didn't mention the TiVo as I thought I had read this would be straight forward if I called it in. 10 Eastern rolled around (actually I had set up a manual recording for the channel and didn't check it until maybe 10:10) and I had a message saying the Tuning Adapter wouldn't tune the channel. I called back and after being on hold for approximately 10 minutes, I found a rep and explained that perhaps my setup caused some problem. He transferred me to "the tuning adapter people" which sounded a lot like a busy signal. I called back and again I was transferred to a busy signal.
Since I was about half hour in and had missed a good portion of the product, I called back to cancel. Here I was informed that the rep could not tell if I had been charged for four days and I needed to call back then. I questioned this, but he persisted. I fear that this is going to be a nightmare to get this charge off when it appears. Time Warner Cable is my favorite!
Roamio is recording unwanted collections with a large number of shows that I did not tell it to record. I have "record suggestions" turned off. How do I get it to stop recording unrequested collections?
Verizon FIOS 3 different model Tivos getting this channel is not authorized v58 for channels from 340 to 363 (starz, encore, indie, retro). Verizon has sent signal to the cards we have rebooted everything at the house. Any ideas?
I had no idea up Alec Baldwin's MSNBC show "Up Late" until I read that he was suspended and looked it up.
I saw that he had on the stars of "2001: A Space Odyssey," Gary Lockwood and Keir Dullea. I've never seen either of them interviewed.
They look very different. Somehow they
got 45 years older.
I just cast the whole show to my Chromecast. It's damned good, even if Alec tells too many of his own war stories. I like Alec's insight, film knowledge and impressions.
They do have great stories about making one the greatest films of all time. When you're upside down and you drop your bite of of food, it falls up.
I never noticed that Gary Lockwood was on the Star Trek TOS pilot! They go through how he w:up:as every TV cop show in the 70s and 80s.
Take a look.
Thanks to the usual flashola crapola I can't post a link to the actual episode. Just scroll to episode 6. It will play all of the segments in sequence.
I'll set an SP for the show. Alec should be back eventually.
I have basic roamio which has ota but using $75 indoor radioshack tv antenna i couldnt pull anything in. Anyone know how i can inquire about a stronger roof antenna? Im in novato sf bay area 94945
I picked up a Premiere TiVo about 4 months ago and for the first time today, I want to order a PPV event. When I switch to the Comcast PPV channel, I get the following error "This channel is not authorized. Contact your cable provider at 1-877-367-8486 for more information (V58)."
I've spoken to people at both TiVo and Comcast now and the final person I talked to at Comcast said that if I just order the event, the channel will work when the event starts. That's a little less than an hour from now and I'm not convinced this is going to work.
Has anyone else had this issue and is it really just a matter of having the program ordered and the channel will then work?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Have a TiVo Mini connected via MoCA to a Roamio Pro and Time Warner digital cable. Watching recorded content works fine, but when I try to watch Live TV, certain channels will play for 2-3 seconds followed by some kind of error message that flashes on the screen for less than 0.1 seconds (so quickly I can't read what it says), and the picture freezes. It only happens on specific channels, which obviously makes viewing live content on those channels impossible.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Does anyone have the Video Window turned off only to have it come back on randomly for you? I used to have the same problem with my TiVo Premiere where when doing stuff in the menus like searching for TV shows and working with the season passes where all of a sudden the Video Window would turn on. It would even show up in the settingn menu's where it never shows up. I would go into the settings to turn it off and it was already off so I would have to turn it on, go out, go back in and turn it off. It was really annoying.
Well it just happened on my new Roamio. All of a sudden the remote stopped responding and it seemed like it was froze then the video window popped on and the remote started working again. I went into the settings and it was off so had to do the whole on then off thing.
Is this a common bug or are my TiVo's haunted? I tried searching the forums but can't find anything else like it.
