I've been recording PBS NewsHour Weekend and have been using a Season Pass (the show is half an hour on Saturdays and half an hour on Sundays). I've noticed that it hasn't been recording the Sunday episode. The listings show that the Sunday episode is a rerun of the Saturday episode, despite the fact Sunday is a different episode.
For anyone recording the show, you may need to check your listings and account for this. I have no idea if it is a national problem or just with our local PBS station (WETA out of Arlington, Virginia).
Since the Fall Update, any show that I schedule online does not show up in my online todo list. Is this a bug or is the server much slower than normal?
I know there is an install thread, I can't find it. Is it as simple as copy image off current drive create partition on new put image on it?
No thread yet? I didn't think it was so bad...
Cold opening was hi-larious!
When the drug dealer came up to Mayor Ford during the press conference! :D:D:D I about died laughing! So funny!
Then when he went on "60 Minutes?" OMG-I didn't expect that! That was smart and funny! :p
Lady Gaga's monologue was cute-"I'll take your fake applause..applause...applause..."
Waking up with Kimye was cute-the Kardashian orchestra was funny-triangle, triangle, box of rice, her own hands....:o
Gaga 50 years hence was surreal but I loved the "Empress Beyonce" line...
I loved the Rose Zone -
Others' thoughts? :D
Have you seen "Ground Floor", a new series with John C. McGinley?
I had hopes it would be funny, and the critics seem to approve of it as one of the funnier new sitcoms.
Then I watched the first two episodes.
I was struggling to get past the first act of the pilot episode, wanting to give it a chance to find itself. But the writing and acting is so awful that I cannot bear this show, despite having two gorgeous actresses in tight outfits.
I re-read the reviews and cannot believe they watched the same shows I had just seen.
Is it just me?
I am selling 2 Two-tuner Premiere's with Lifetime and USB Wi-Fi adapter included for both units. Both units come with the power cable and a TiVo remote.
Asking $350 shipped for anywhere in the lower 48 states, Alaska & Hawaii will pay actual shipping charges.
Just got anew TiVo stream, and am trying to set it up with my premiere xl4...
I have my TiVo connected to a hub, and from the hub to my fils router.
I have my stream connected to my router per the directions.
I keep getting an error when trying to stream. " error streaming the recording"
Also tried to download, and it just sits there doing nothing.
Talked to TiVo tech support and they tell me the TiVo and the stream must BOTH be DIRECTLY connected to the router or it will not work! Who the heck has their router in their living room? This seems to make the stream quite useless to me.
Anyone out there have a way around this? I bought the stream from best buy a couple weeks ago so now I can't bring it back! Argh!!
Any help appreciated
I have a 4-tuner Roamio that I bought a few months ago and for some reason I can't see any of the media in my Desktop Plus App that I've been using for several years with my old Series 2.
I can download media from the Roamio with no problem so I know that my MAC is correct. I'm just not seeing any media from Desktop Plus listed on the Roamio.
I just noticed that after the Fall 2013 update to version 188.8.131.52a that I can no longer navigate to future date or time when the TiVo Guide is in the 'Grid Guide' mode. I was wondering if anybody else is having this?
Well, this has been going on since yesterday. The site is so slow that it is hard to schedule anything online!
I recorded this from DTV on Friday, and just got around to watch it this morning. It lists it as 2 hours long, and it started right on time, but it ended abruptly after the 2 hour recording. I wonder if Discover put in too many commercials.
Looking at the listings for Tonight, they both show 2 hours also. I guess I'll try again, but pad it by a hour just to be sure. This is the first time I've had that happen when the show didn't have its start delayed.
Hello, I just got my Roamio Pro Friday. Everything is going great. Got all of my season passes and recordings transferred from my other TiVo's. All is good...
Now I'm trying to figure out how to use Xfinity and HBO OD. I go to Xfinity, pick a program to watch, go to watch now, and it starts but then freezes at the opening screen. I hear about 2 seconds of audio then nothing. Pausing and FF does nothing. The same happens when I try HBO OD. It just stops at the HBO OD screen. It says that I have it rented for 24 hours etc.
Is this a streaming issue? I have a download of about 7mbps, .75mbps upload, 26 ping on CenturyLink. I pay for 12mbps. I'm not at all sure of what I need for streaming video.
Thanks, Mike, Issaquah WA
I just set up my new Roamio Pro, and I'm seeing a bunch of programs in my Wishlist Searches > All Upcoming that don't make sense. All of my wishlists are set up as title searches, and I'm getting results with titles that have nothing to do with the titles I have input.
A) is there some way to tell which wishlist resulted in a particular recording (without going through all of my wishlists to check each one's "upcoming" list)?
B) is it possible that these are tivo suggestions and that they are shown in the same list as wishlist results? if so, that would be weird because some of them are "kept until deleted"
Have a TiVo HD on software 11.0m-01-2-652 with an Onkyo receiver. I'm using a standard TiVo peanut rewrote.
The screens on the TiVo only say that the remote can control AV volume and mute (no mention of receiver power), but can't it control receiver power as well? No matter what code I try, it only controls volume and mute but never the receiver power. What am I missing?
Today's Best Buy ad. $50 gift card with purchase of TiVo Roamio @$199.99.
I have TiVo premiere with Time Warner Cable in Ohio.
Is there a way to turn off the channels I don't get so my wife/kids stop trying to record programs which are not available.
We don't get any of the premium or other channels but they appear in the guide and can be selected to record.
I am thinking there must be a way to do this without individually removing each channel which would take quite a while.
Please let me know. Thank you.
Chuck Lorre, the creator, had been after me a couple times to do various shows, but for one reason or another, we never got around to it. When he came to me in January for his annual turndown, I told him Id do Big Bang if it was a recurring character that comes back a couple times and that its all in front of a live audience. Thats the only way I know how to do it. Laugh tracks turn me off. The acting is better when you know your material is being judged.
(Hopefully you don't have to be a subscriber, which I am)
How do you tell the difference just by looking at them?
I thought all Glo remotes were learning remotes, but tivo.com seems to indicate otherwise.
Does anybody actually know what is (not) being done when a Roamio is stuck on the "Acquiring Channel Information" screen with 75% complete?
My new Roamio had previously been stuck on 50% and Tivo support told me to call my cable company and get them to send a tech. So after I got off the phone with my appointment scheduled, for fun, I did the full factory reset and repeated Guided Setup.
Now I'm stuck on 75%. So I infer the 50% mark meant that the cable card and guided setup were not in agreement (which I wish Tivo support would have said, or told me to repeat setup, but oh well)
So: what does 75% complete need in order to complete? Does anybody know?
