Since I got my TiVo, every week this show has multiple, short audio dropouts.
Happens every single week. Is anyone else who records this show experiencing this issue? I wonder if it is a CBS issue or a Cox issue. How can it be a TiVo issue since it (mostly ) affects only this show.
Tulsa's Cox Cable recently (today) changed their HD channels to the 1000s (SD 02 now HD 1002) channels. They used to be in the 700s. Anyways, I cannot get the guide to recognize the new channel lineup. I restarted the start up guide but so far I all I get is the channel id under the date. Title not available/No information available and The guide just says "To be announced" The SD channels look BBAAAAD, and the few HD channels in the 700s have changed. Everything recorded today was black. I do have a channel adapter and the M card. Any ideas how to fix the problem?
That was absolute perfection! What a great move by Natalie and Baylor. Finally someone is actually playing this game. They not only got out their biggest threat, but he went home with the idol in his pocket to boot. Man, he must feel like an absolute fool.
You gotta give everyone credit. Missy said exactly what needed to be said in order to make Jon feel comfortable, and even Keith did his part to sell the con. It was picture perfect. :)
I recently got a series 3 tivo HD from craigslist. I plugged it in and it works fine. As expected, it didn't have tivo service, but I noticed that when I went into the system account settings, it had a code of "7" under the current account status.
I can't remember exactly what it said and probably should have taken a pic before I fully activated it, but it was something along the lines that indicated this tivo had NEVER been activated. Is this the case with a service code of 7? Or maybe not.
What are all the codes anyway. I know 5 is "lifetime" and 3 is "account in good standing"
Anyone else having Comcast On Demand issues today (December 10th)? When trying to play some on demand HD titles, Tivo throws a CL-17 error. Oddly, this is only on some titles. Others play OK. Several calls to Comcast later, it appears that Comcast is serving up an incorrect list of titles that are available as free on demand.
As an example, a Tivo search for "Gravity" turns up two on demand entries... one HD and one SD. The SD will play, but the HD will not. Searching directly in the list of titles in the Tivo onscreen VOD menu does not show "Gravity" at all. Comcast seems to be of the opinion that Gravity is new and not available for free. Hmmmmm.... I just finished watching the SD version (that DID play) for free. And when trying to play other HD titles that DO show up in the VOD menu, some play and some throw the CL-17 error.
Does anyone know where the onscreen list of Comcast On Demand titles comes from? Does Tivo maintain the list of playable titles, or does it come directly from Comcast?
During the second call to Comcast, they said that I had no HD service on my account. This was a surprise since with the exception of this issue, ALL HD channels play correctly and always have since we had our TivoHD. I let them add HD to the account (another $10/month) but that didn't change anything.
Early in December I used the Zoom button to cycle through the different picture options, while watching an old SD show. It cycled through Panel, Zoom and Full options as expected.
Last week after experiencing the "unresponsive remote" issue (thread titled "Roamio stopped responding to remote and all") I now have the following problem.
Using the zoom button, cycling through the Panel, Zoom and Full options, but the picture doesn't change in any way. The picture stays the same, but on-screen it shows (in a popup) either "Zoom" or "Panel" or "Full", so I know the TiVo is recognizing the zoom button.
Anyone else see this?
I've been using cTivo to transfer shows from my Tivo HD to Mac. It seems the only other option is KMTTG which appears very well liked. Anyone have opinions on the better option for Roamio (just ordered) to Mac transfers and potentially commercial marking or skipping? Thanks.
I have a 5 year old Tivo HDXL. About a year ago I noticed that every few months the thing decides to reboot itself. I'm concerned that the files (shows) might be lost if or when the unit goes belly up.
In the past I've used iTivo to back-up some of the files to a computer on my network, but I'm unable to back-up the ones that are copy protected, marked with a "C."
I don't want to make an illegal copy of these files. I simply want to back them up so they are not lost if the unit fails. At some point I'll want to reload them to the Tivo in the future. How can I do this?
Roamio Plus, no remote control, works fine otherwise. One bid at $250 currently.
Here's a place to discuss the episodes. Yeah I know that many of you hate season long threads, but I'm just not sure if the show will have enough traction to do an episode by episode thread. We'll see how it goes.
So I wonder if the Library being lost and them moving the headquarters for the new cast to Oregon is simply for budget reasons? They can now film in Canada (not sure if it is or not, I didn't look, but Oregon looks a lot like BC).
I thought the pilot was fun and that the second episode was better than the first. I still think it has more of a Warehouse 13 vibe, with a little Indy Jones mixed in. The effects were cheesy, but I think they might be going for that to give it a Children's serial show feel.
I have a roamio and mini on the way. I will be using a Harmony for the roamio. Can I buy an RF dongle from weaknees and then use the roamio remote via rf with the mini as I would like to place it out of site?
I'm not sure where to post this so I'll try here...
I tried to join the TC Club 2 year plan but when I click to pay it redirects me to PayPal and the page states the TC Club (I don't remember the name) can't accept payments.
Has this been discontinued or could I be doing something wrong? It seems very straightforward. I'm clicking on the link in the User CP.
Thanks! - KEM
I just hooked up my Roamio Pro and noticed a menu under My Shows called Devices. It has listed My Share.
When I click on My Share it says, "The My Share PC's Now Playing List could not be displayed because it is unavailable ....
I searched the forums and couldn't find anything.
What is this referring to?
Ugh. That was a terrible finale.
I've downloaded and installed pyTiVo; cTiVo-2; kmttg; streambaby; ffmpeg 2.5 and I have no idea how to use these programs.
I've read and re-read the instructions and the configuration setup instructions for all these programs and it is still not clear to me at all how to start a transfer in either direction.
I've read and searched this forum for help and read dozens of posts. It seems that I'm the only one who has no idea how to start a transfer.
I have no trouble with the installations. My TiVo programs populate the cTivo and pyTivo windows but then what? Are there no user friendly instructions available?
I thought I was computer savvy until I hit this wall.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Well, this episode was chock full of comic book mythos... Daisy Johnson, Calvin Zabo, Terrigen crystals, you name it... I'm sure those who are more versed in the Marvel comics are probably more excited about this than I am, but it's still cool that there's a clear direction the show is going in, that we're not just spinning our wheels.
Sad to see Tripp bite it, but it was a very Whedon death in that it was a heroic death that served a storytelling purpose.
Perhaps those more familiar with the comics might have an insight into what Rayna might be becoming.
I've only seen bits and pieces of this show. What relationship does Ioan Gruffudd's character have to Judd Hirsch's?
Wow! That had a lot in it. Firestorm and the Reverse Flash! I didn't expect them to release so much information so soon in the season. Rather, I was afraid they'd keep stretching out an appearance by RF for too long and keep us guessing about things like Wells' intentions. But they tossed it all into the mix before season break.
Firestorm looks cool. There's not a lot of information on him yet, but it was a nice touch that he has his name now. It took several episodes before the Flash got his name.
Flash versus Reverse Flash showed how much more growth Barry needs. He's fast, but not nearly enough yet. They point out in the series that his speed is increasing, but it'll be a little while before he can take on RF without getting an asswhupping.
It was also a surprise to see the question answered so cleanly as to whether Wells is RF or not. And in case it was still ambiguous, he modulated his voice. Nice touch. And the ring was also a nice Easter Egg.
It's a bit more clear that Eddie is RF's ancestor. The last name, the fact RF took it so easy on him. I read articles that stated Eddie still has some mysteries, and that there will be a lot of time travel in the series, meaning Eddie can have more surprises (or not, we'll see how it goes).
The one thing that wasn't clear during Barry's flashback to his Mom's death was that there were two speedsters. Three guesses as to who the 2nd one is (and the first two don't count).
I created this thread for the sole purpose of saying that this episode, while a good episode in this consistently entertaining series, ended with one of the funniest scenes that I've seen in quite a while.
I noticed that the forum (specifically Happy Hour) was slow to load. I enabled Safari's "Web Inspector" and caught these errors:
