From my PC to the TiVoHD. Got the "This will be added to the queue and transferred when the current transfer is complete" I have nothing being transferred. Rebooted the TiVo and restarted TiVo desk top (yes I have TiVo Desktop Plus) with the same results. Next step I was going to try is reinstalling TiVo Desktop. Any help would be cool.
Series 2, single tuner. No picture or sound at all. Used Maxblast to check HDD, passed all.
Front lights are as follows:
left--Green top,Yellow bottom.
right--Red top, yellow bottom.
I currently have a premiere xl wi 2 tuners. In the past I have missed recording new episodes of shows due to 3 shows needin to be taped concurrently. I think a nice addition to the season pass would be a toggle that if chosen would send a message to the Tivo box that warned a new episode would not be recorded and why.
I like watching Happy Camp show, and there are many people like who around me, It's a good Variety show，Not only be able to see stars who is your favorite, but also they are playing all kinds of games, suah as math games for kids, and so on. in the program,it is really interesting! How about you, share it with us.
TIVOHD XL recently replaced with WD20EURS 2TB
Something peculiar I've noticed after I've replaced my hard drive because I know the former drive (wd20eads) did not do this. Every-time I go to the Tivo Menu or go back to live tv, the screen will black out momentarily because the HDMI input is reelecting itself again.
This was not happening before. It's bugging me. Does this have anything to do with hard drive model? Does this happen to anybody else? Should it be a concern? Can I get rid of it?
Haven't found this discussed anywhere, perhaps somebody knows the answer.
A friend recommended the Side By Side video documentary hosted by Keanu Reeves from Amazon. It is a documentary about the transition in the movie industry from film to digital. He watched it on a source other than Tivo. The Amazon website for the show says it is available in HD for Tivo. However, when I search the Amazon VOD menus on myTivo, all I find is the promo video Side by Side Extra and not the full movie.
I can't find the actual film for rent on Amazon using my Tivo.
Has anybody had any success renting this from Amazon?
After 10 years we decided it was time to move on from our old tivo r10s. In my stupidity i didnt write down all of our season passes before disconnecting directv yesterday. Now when trying to access it, i cant go into the menu and it tells me "no program data acquired from satellite, please check your satellite dish setup."
Does anyone know of a workaround so i can look at them and write them down?
Thanks for any help you can give.
I knew Dan couldn't win...
I still think he SHOULD have won.
And Frank was America's Choice?!?!?!? Yowzer...
Danielle is going to need some serious therapy when she gets home...
I think it's rare for a tribe to vote off its weakest link (Zane) instead of its most annoying member (Russell). Good for them.
But bad for Zane; he over-allianced, over-shared, over-thought it, and did himself in.
I think Malcolm has a good chance.
And since when does Miss Teen Utah get breast implants?
Do anyone have any thoughts as to whether we'll see the device at other stores anytime soon? It seems that TiVo may have signed an exclusive deal with Best Buy, at least for the launch.
Hello - I have a TIVO HD box and just got it hooked up with Comcast yesterday. Comcast put in a Motorola m card, but I can't see any channels - I can see the number of the channel, and the name like History channel, and even a blurb on the current show, but no actual picture. It then goes to a grey screen and the words "Searching for signal on cable in." I called TIVO and the had me look at all the settings, then the TIVO tech called Comcast while I was on the phone and they sent a signal to the cable card but nothing changed, so now I am stuck. I've looked at all the standard things that have been suggested on forums but still nothing works. TIVO and Comcast can't even figure it out together! Any ideas as to what else I can look at? Thank you.
We have a Tivo Premiere with a bad hard drive. I have removed the hard drive and mounted it in an old Windows PC. I have not yet tried to do anything more with the Tivo drive.
I want to only read the data on the Tivo drive. What forum should I use to ask about that? If anyone can help with the keywords to use to search for I am happy to do the searching and reading myself.
The thing I would most prefer to use is a Windows program that can read the Tivo data; at least the XML files. The second possibility would be to boot Linux using a VM under Windows. I think that computer already has at least one Linux that I can boot from a VM so I will try that unless someone here tells me not to try it.
If necessary, I could make a boot CD-Rom or flash drive to boot Linux from.
Any guidance will be appreciated. I will read the documentation or whatever if someone can help me find what to read. I have looked at the mfslive.org web site but it does not seem to be relevant but if it is then let me know.
Does anyone know a way to get the TIVO Adapter to work with a FIOS modem. The modem has a nonfuctioning WPS button! Obviously I can buy a wireless router with working WPS and chain it into the system, but I'd rather not do that.
Aside from android, there are lots of laptops and desktops and media PCs out there running Windows located in areas of the home without TV, a Windows client sure would be handy.
Well since I got fios I'm not too happy with their dvr (what a surprise)
so I've been looking at getting the the TiVo Premiere 45 hour one since I can also get ota channels. I have been reading of problems people with fios and the cable cards is this common?
Also by what I have found so far there is no easy way to upgrade the hard drive as could have been done with the zipper for directv tivos.
And one last thing is this the best tivo to buy or should I give up on ota channels and get one with 4 tuners?
Also would it be worth to buy the extended warranty?
I usually never do on anything except for the kids electronics, mp3 players, phones and stuff.
We currently have a TiVo HD XL and I'm interested in upgrading to a Premiere XL4. I've been reading through the FAQs and last couple months of threads, but there are some basic things I don't understand.
1) Can I transfer the existing subscription from my HD to the XL? I don't want two devices/subscriptions. If so, what is the process?
2) Can I transfer the shows on the HD to the XL?
I recently bought a URC WR7 Universal Remote Control and was really pleased to have been able to put four or five remotes into a drawer. Price was right $22.00, and the family was happy as well.
I then got tired of my crummy Comcast DVR, and decided to get a Premiere. Now I'm stumped as to what to do about the remote situation. The TiVo remote is clearly the one to use for the DVR, but it's pretty limited in terms of what it can do in terms of controlling the TV, and (I believe) can't help at all with the DVR.
Anyone have the WR7 and suggestions on mapping out the TiVo remote on it? Or am I going to have to go back to a pile of remotes on the coffee table (unless I buy another universal remote...which I'd rather not do!).
I like the Premiere TiVos, but I upgraded about a month before the premiere came out. Now I am again looking for a new TiVo, but it seems like the Premieres are getting a little stale in the lifecycle of upgrades.
Does anyone have a handle on when TiVo will make a major upgrade again? Is there any clue to what features might be next? I am thinking of something like the MacRumors buyers' guide.
Just had a fourth TiVo added and on working through the setup with my daughter and showing her the other tivos at the bottom of 'my shows' found that channel 5 shows are available to stream from one box to another.

Ok, this is a first for me through many years and quite a few different TiVos. Premiere XL, stock. Woke up this morning and noticed I could hear the fan on high power. Turned on the TV, saw Welcome screen, figured it was just rebooting so I dozed back off. A few minutes later, my ears tell me I'm still hearing the fan at full which isn't normal. Sure enough it's stuck. So, I pull the power, wait a few minutes and plug back in, then the reboot loop begins. Thing is, it honestly doesn't even look like it's passing POST. 4 LEDs flash, Welcome screen, 2-3 seconds, 4 LEDs flash, goes black, Welcome screen, repeat ad-nauseum. Can't get anywhere close to a kickstart prompt.
I've tried pulling HDMI cable, cable card, and network cable to no avail. Every once in a while it will hang at the Welcome screen, but usually it's just the instant reboot loop. It doesn't sound like HDD failure to me, or at least I've never seen a response quite like this with it. Any thoughts on the best candidates to check for?
