Season 5 for "Flashpoint" will premiere on Tuesday, October 16th at 11|10c on ION Television.
I am having an issue deleting recordings with KMTTG on the TiVo and receiving the "findRecordingId failed to find a match" error. This error still occurs after doing a Refresh.
On the same TiVo I am able to delete other recordings from KMTTG without issue.
The name of the recordings that are not being deleted by KMTTG have a accent on one of the letters as in:
Abismo de Pasión
Is it possible that the accent over the o is having KMTTG encounter the error? Is there a workaround with the current version if this is the case?
The writers continue writing this show as if Michael Scott were still the manager. Michael (sorry, Andy) sends Toby (sorry, Nelly) on a wild goose chase of busy work, through which he discovers he's related to Michelle Obama and decides he should act like her (especially in ways that match the racial stereotypes associated with her race). He then is informed as to why a white guy might be related to Michelle Obama and completely overcompensates (again, with racial stereotypes), and also lashes out at his coworkers so they all feel badly about their heritage instead of just him. But he means well.
The bit with Asian Jim at the beginning had me laughing hysterically.
I don't remember Oscar being this preachy and annoying before.
Because of a digital transition at my cable company, I had to get a cable box from them... the Motorola one.
So I have set up my Tivo2 to use the IR channel changing, and the setup works fine, the tests pass and the Tivo seems to be able to change the channels on the cable box.
However, when watching live TV, when I change the channel on the TiVo remote, it changes the Tivo from 3 to 4 (or 2) and loses the cable signal which apparently is on channel 3. The channel on the cable box does NOT change.
Given that the TiVo seems to be aware of how to change cablebox channels during the tests, why isn't it doing so the same way when I am watching? Also, when I set up recordings, same thing. It changes the TiVo channel and not the cablebox channels (so I know it's not a remote control thing). I go thru the channel-changing setup and all it does is run the tests and says it knows how, but not that it will actually do so, so is there a setting I am missing?
OK, I have a new Tivo Premiere (the base $150 model) coming from Amazon along with the Tivo N (more expensive) wireless adaptor. I want to be ready to "rock & roll" when the delivery arrives so I would like to get some questions answered before hand......
I believe the Tivo has two tuners and two cable card slots. Will we be ok with one cable card? I don't believe my wife would use both tuners, but what would be the advantage (with two cable cards)? We have Comcast Xfiinity cable......
I know I will have to go online to Tivo to purchase a subscription. I will start with the year subscription for $15 a month. Should I do that first before hooking up the box?
Basically I know I will need to establish the Tivo subscription, activate the cable card with Comcast and setup my wireless connection. In what order should I do these things?
I have comcast, and reasonably happy with the service provided, however I am starting to notice more and more digital breakups\freezes during prime time. And the other night I was unable to watch ESPN Monday Night football, however a few minutes after the game is was over, the channel appeared (game was not blacked out in Seattle) .
As Comcast and other cable companies switch to 100% digital channels, are they having problems meeting customer bandwidth demand during peak hours, such as evening hours or during popular sporting events?
i am new in this forum so every body help me.
Enjoyed the human moment with Sheldon "please don't hurt my friend". It seems they are least letting him grow and have empathy.
Mayim's blocking of the hand was done horribly it was so noticeable because they made it seem like she had a lame arm or amputated one. Of all of them the worst was when she was on the couch with Bernadette and had her hand in the pillows (not Bernadette's "pillows").
i dont know why but i thought the action was so much less in this one..less drama...was it my imagination or were you let down too?
didnt see daddy at all and what happened to him but i did like the rusky invasion vs not the Americans..nice spin on things.

I loaded kmttg (copied from old pc) and this worked fine but I discovered that I need tivo desktop plus installed in order to play tivo files with windows media player - so I reloaded this on my new pc
tivo desktop plus works fine but I prefer kmttg

In the past I used the tivo beacon but the bonjour connection now works better on this pc for tivo desktop plus
I changed the sttings in the kmttg options so that it does not use the beacon now but no improvement

Anyone got any suggestions ?
many thanks, Rich
I need a new TiVo remote. I had just the standard peanut remote. I always thought the glo feature was a good idea. Is the glo feature just as robust on the slide remote as the standard glo remote? Is there a reason not to get the slide other than the extra expense.
And the back story . . .
Four nights ago I was watching TV. I know I was using the TiVo remote. My wife asked me to check Facebook for any news about the daughter of a close friend who was in labor. (Was there a baby yet?)
(Thank you TiVo for letting us pause live TV. Remember when that was a novel idea? but I digress.)
I went upstairs to tell her no and went back down stairs to continue watching TV. No remote. In the span of probably less than 10 minutes the remote disappeared. I was very conscious of where I was during this time. We have searched high and low. No %@)#$%*)#$( Tivo Remote.
Fortunately I had the Droid app and a Logitech remote so we can watch TV. But after four days of no remote, I have decided to indulge and buy one of the glo remotes that I have been eyeing for a long time.
If you go to www.moxi.com
, they tell you that the retail moxi is gone, and there is a new whole house solution available only to cable providers.
With the ceton on some kind of indefinite hold, it looks like TiVo is the only retail solution still left standing.
First, I'll get my complaint with this episode out of the way: yet again, this show's inability to edit itself reared it's ugly head. This episode had more than enough material with the drama surrounding the four couples. We did NOT need the extra bit with Kitty and her "left behind" club, nor did we need to mix in the Jake/Kitty/Marley triangle.
Because we spent what seemed like unnecessary time on those three, the issues with Will and Emma felt almost like an afterthought, almost tacked onto this episode. I was definitely left with the impression that they're done - but not a clear understanding of why. They had one short fight, and what seemed like almost a fairy tale relationship last season is possibly over? Seemed a bit implausible that things turn that quickly.
The evolution of the other relationships, though, shouldn't take anyone by surprise. Well, I take that back - I was actually a bit surprised at how hard Rachel fought to keep her relationship with Finn alive. I figured it'd be the other way around, somehow. But yeah, I am not surprised in the least to see all three ("Finchel," "Brittana," and "Klaine") ended. (Although, it is awfully coincidental that all ended at the exact same time, so they can all be included in an episode named "The Break Up." ;))
Now, I'm guessing that not all of these breakups will stick. It's not dramatic to have stuff just... end. I'm wondering now which will end up getting back together.
As an aside, it must be nice for all these characters to have the kind of money to get last minute tickets to fly back and forth across the country. ;)
Just replaced my series 3 HD with a 4XL. Nothing changed other than that. Installation and cable card setup went flawless.
Main problem is I have no HDMI now. No signal is detected by my Sony Bravia tv whatsoever at any time including during the boot up process of the 4XL.
Tried two HDMI cables that both work fine with my Sony blue ray player.
I have one of my 3 THD's acting funny. It works fine. Records and plays shows without an issue...usually.
I notice that if we are up late...like 1-2 AM a light comes on a little to the right of the power light...not sure exactly which one...and if we are watching something that late, then I get a reboot! It looks like it went to a Discovery Channel HD, but I am NOT recording anything at that time. It looks like it is getting advertisements or something. This is a Pain as I have to wait for the LONG reboot process before I can return to the show. Also, since it rebooted, I can not resume play as it did not leave a marker.
This happened last night as we watched the debate. Anyone know what it is getting and why the reboot?
Yesterday morning I saw a spark coming from the back of my THD with Lifetime (not sure what the cause was) and it seems to have taken out the picture tube of my TV as well as the video card to my computer since they were all connected via hdmi cables. As it stands the THD won't power on at all so I'm hoping that it's just the power supply that's fried and not the motherboard but I won't know for sure. I tried looking at the capacitors but I can't tell if anything is wrong. I do have a spare Premiere unit that I was considering using for parts to replace the power supply but I couldn't see any threads saying if the Premiere's power supply was compatible or not. Thanks for the help.

I also posted this in the U.K. forum as a heads up for the people in the U.K.
Melissa George plays Sam Hunter, a highly skilled operative for an elite private intelligence firm, who survives an attempt on her life that may have been orchestrated by members of her own team. Once she returns to the firm, she performs her secretive duties without knowing who to trust and who wants her dead.
Just a FYI,
New drama has started airing on BBC1 in the U.K. From what I understand it's from the people who created 'Spooks' ('MI-5' in the States).
It's going to start airing here in States on 'Cinemax' on Oct. 19.
The first episode has already aired in the U.K. and is available by magical means.
There is another thread about this but it's also five years old, so I am going ask some questions I have that need to ask to get current information on.
The background: Live north of Tampa and have FiOS with a FiOS DVR. It's okay but periodically drops series from the recording schedule for no apparent reason. We had a TiVO powered DVR through Direct TV and my since my wife manages the recording schedules, etc I am immediately informed of the malfunction and how much the TiVO is missed.
So the questions I have are as follow that relate specifically to TiVO Primiere 4 tuner models on FiOS.
1) Which cable cards should I insist that verizon provide? We are HBO subscribers too if that matters.
2) Do the TiVo Premiere DVR have something along the line of an "app store" where specific apps can be downloaded?
3) Since we have a multi room DVR we will require one of the multi room devices. Is there a specific model/firmware version that works best or a minimum or these devices?
4) Can a TiVO see a Serviio media server? (We are a linux house)
5) What are the other caveats I need to know about with TiVo's on FiOS?
I am thinking about the purchase of the 500 mb $150 Premiere box and a Actiontec Ethernet Over Coax MoCA Adapter.
Will on Actiontec Ethernet Over Coax MoCA Adapter be all I need or do I need a pair?
With an internet connection does the Tivo Premiere still need a phone line connection?
Is there a chance that an Iomega eSATA external 1 TB drive that I purchased to expand a SA Explorer 8300HD from Comcast (and can not get to work) will work with the Tivo Premiere?
