It appears shows I've streamed or downloaded via Tivo Stream are disappearing. Nothing shows that that have been deleted, but they are definitely gone from my list of shows. This is a bit troublesome (especially with HBO content) when I want to watch a show my wife has watched already via an iPad, or that I wanted to save to watch again later. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
I'm still trying to track the issue, but my Tivo used to hover around 80-90% full before the stream. Ater the stream, my Tivo is usually 50-60% full. That's when I started noticing the problem.
iTunes has the pilot of Nashville available for free. I've been looking forward to this one.
Little People Big World is returning to weekly TV.
TLC has announced it will premiere Little People Big World: Wedding Farm -- a new weekly series that will follow the Roloff family as they operate a new wedding venue on their recently expanded Oregon farm -- on Tuesday, November 13 at 9PM ET/PT.
In addition to chronicling Matt and Amy Roloff's attempt to refurbish a historic barn and launch the new wedding business, Little People Big World: Wedding Farm will also show viewers the day-to-day lives of the couple and their four children -- including Molly preparing to leave for college.
Little People Big World ended its original six-season run on TLC in 2010, however the family has continued to star in a series of occasional specials for the network since then.
According to TLC, the network will also continue to produce additional specials despite Little People Big World: Wedding Farm, which will initially consist of six one-hour episodes.
Little People Big World: Wedding Farm is being produced by Gay Rosenthal Productions -- the same production company that produced Little People Big World -- and executive produced by Gay Rosenthal, Joe Freed, Sven Nilsson, Amy Roloff, and Matt Roloff.
New to the forums.
My question is this: We are TWC customers and are looking at TiVo Premiere. We have basic cable and HD box, was wondering what we will be charged for if we switched to TiVo.
I understand the Cable card rental, but not sure of other cable charges. would we still be billed for basic cable.
I was just curious before we made the move, thank you in advance and sorry for the newbie question.
For those in the Evansville, IN viewing area who don't watch Grimm while or shortly after recording...
14 WFIE placed a banner on the 10/05 episode several times stating that *next* Friday's episode (10/12) would be pre-empted in favor of the broadcast of the Reitz @ Mater Dei high school football game.
It goes on to say that the new episode "The Bottle Imp" will be broadcast later that night at 1:05 AM. Okay, so that's technically Saturday morning, but you get the gist.
I checked my SP and schedule last night...it doesn't list the game, but the same Grimm ep at 8:00 PM and 1:05 AM. Given that this is a local one-off schedule change, I doubt that it will make it into the TiVo schedule properly before air time.
So I changed my recording to the 1:05 AM showing. Given how bad the local stations seem to be with these late-night re-broadcasts starting/ending on time, I think I'll play it safe and recorde the programs before and after as well...no way I'm staying up until one in the morning to make sure it records on time!
Having trouble with my TiVo Premiere. When I powered it up a while back I got the green screen message that there was a problem and was told to let it run for a while. I let it run for about 15 hours and it never resolved itself, it just kept rebooting and so forth in what I presume was an attempt to repair the drive.
Figuring I had a bad drive combined with the fact that I had a spare 1TB 5400 RPM drive that had not been used yet I decided to replace the drive.
I installed the drive and powered up the TiVo. I'd initially get the "Welcome! Starting up..." screen. Then after a moment it would go off then a few seconds later it would flash back on for a moment along with all the LEDs then they'd all go out and repeat the cycle every 10 seconds or so.
I know a TiVo is not going to run with a blank drive. Is there some way to force it to download the TiVo software from the network on startup? Is that what I need to do in this case?
I finally figured out how to push movies/shows to my tivo, now the next question on my list would be...When the tivo records something from cable...it has a little picture of the show and a short description about it when you highlight it...is there a way to do that for the shows and movies that I push to the tivo? Would that be metadata?
This might be a dumb question....so here goes. I just bought a tivo stream and downloaded the tivo app for my ipad. I downloaded several movies and shows to watch as i was traveling by train. It setup and transferred fine.
My question is now that i don't need to transfer movies because i won't be traveling can i hook the stream directly to my premiere and use it for extra recording space?
I don't know if it has any recording capabilities or recording space on it since i just got it a couple weeks ago...

It sure looks like the TiVo-implementation of TV Everywhere is on the right track. My speculation is that we are seeing a preview of what will be available on Com Hem, Charter, and Mediacom next year. I should probably also include Suddenlink and RCN on that list. Unfortunately, retail users like me will be left out in the cold unless our provider inks an agreement with TiVo. Maybe Verizon FiOS will support with some of that $29.6 million credit that was discussed in the settlement.
Anyone watch last weeks ep?
I liked the interview w/Arnold Schwarzenegger. Part 1 at http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7423834n
. There's at least a second part. I haven't compared what's online to what was aired (which I watched on TiVo).
I didn't know about how his parents thought he was gay since he had all these pictures of naked men on his bedroom walls. :)
I thought this was a solid episode to finish a good season after a couple of disappointing ones. I don't know where they go from here, however. Two years in a row ending with world wide destruction. Are they going to use the astrolabe again?
C'mon I know a few of you watch..........
Just finished watching the season premiere. So Olivia and Huck set Quinn up with her new ID? Guess I should have seen that coming, but I didn't.
I really hope the first lady gets hit by a truck.
I have a Tivo Series 3/HD box and just downloaded the Tivo app for iOS. So far, I think it's a great app. However, I can't schedule any recordings from the app. Every time I attempt to schedule a show to record I get the following error:
Error response from IT: code: 1005, text: Partner not authorized to do this operation.
Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what I can do? This app has a much better interface for looking up shows and scheduling recordings than doing it with the remote. I'd LOVE to use it.
FYI, I ensured that I tested it with programs that I can schedule without issue using the remote and the Tivo box itself.

Through Tuesday, I had no problem accessing Xfinity On Demand on my TiVo Premiere in Oakland, CA. Some time before Thursday evening, I seem to have lost access, getting an error box referencing a GSM-2 error (see attached image). Are other people in the Bay Area also seeing this error?
Some reports last month indicated that this error had occurred quite widely around Denver, Colorado and, after much troubleshooting, the resolution was totally internal to Comcast.

At first I thought I was loosing it. I would set up a recording and then check later on and the recording was not there, then I said did I record or forget to do it. This has gone on for a while now. Well today I set up a recording on FX doing it online and I decide to check it later and was it not there, so I said to myself, it was probably conflicting with another program, so it did not take the recording, which I was correct. So later on I decided to delete a recording from the To Do List, and set up my recording on FX again, so now I know I had it set up, I actually set up 2 recordings on FX. So now I know I did do it, I checked and know I had recorded the 8 PM show, so at 10:10 PM I decided to check and it was not recorded I said WTF, I saw both lights red and recording. Umm OK I will record it at midnight, but now I know the 10 PM show on the same channel is recording, I see it recording in the to do list, so I go watch one of my other shows that was already recorded. Now I am done watching that show, I go to the show I know I just recorded on FX as I saw it recording, and it is not there. Now I am saying am I loosing it, so I said I bet I know what happened and I was correct. what happens is sometimes certain channels simply stop working, I don't know why, but they do and I don't know unless I actually go and check the channel, so when I decide to check FX it was black, so it stopped working. I usually have to go to the back of the Tivo, pull the M Card and then re insert it and 15 seconds later those channel come right back it. So now we know why some of my shows were not recording all this time. my question is, why does it do that and why not on all channels, and has this happened to anyone one else before ?, could it be a Comcast signal issue, so if the digital signal is not strong the those tiers those channels go out ?? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, is there a way of checking the signal on certain channels ? Thanks for listing to the long post.
I have two series 2 units that connect over my wireless network. Problem I have is that our wireless network runs off our cell phones. So is only operational when we are here (evenings). Tivo choses to connect to the internet at random intervals. Is there any way to set that to happen during the night when we are here and our internet is on? I hate when it tries to connect during the day and we are not here and therefore our internet connection is not on.
I've been with Dish Network for quite a while and I've even tried their new "Hopper" DVR but it's really not that great. The interface is a bit slow (although the guide is pretty fast), it lacks a lot of features, and has a lot of bugs.
So... I'm thinking about switching to Comcast and getting a TiVo unit.
The Premiere XL4 looks the most appealing but my main concern is the speed of the UI, especially the guide.
I know they increased the speed in the spring (by enabling dual core), but I've heard the guide in the Premiere XL4 is still extremely slow and lots of people use the SDUI because of that. If it really is that bad I probably will wait for a newer TiVo model because the SDUI is really, really outdated at this point.
Does anybody have a video of the HDUI on the Premiere XL4? How does it compare to the Hopper or other Dish Network DVRs?
Can anybody else give me any other honest advice about the TiVos?
(I already know that Comcast quality in my area is pretty good, and probably better than Dish so that's really not a factor)
As usual with FX, the re-aring of all previous seasons begins 10/17/12 @ 2:00 AM EDT, leading up to the new season in January of course.
