Since I got my Stream for Christmas, it's been working great. Now with the latest iOS app update, it's now allowing me to stream shows to either the iPad or the iPhone. I just keep getting an error box that says: "DVR Unable to Stream: Your Tivo DVR is not set up to allow streaming. Please contact your cable provider"
It can still download, it passes the streaming test inside the app, it just won't stream shows, which makes me want to throw it out the window, since one of my main uses was basically to turn the iPad into a second TV.
Over the past hour, I've tried to watch a pre-recorded program. I've been interrupted... four times now... with full screen/audio emergency alerts for a tornado warning in some county that is at least 100 miles away. And those aren't even heading this direction.
I try EVERY button on my remote, and nothing works. I'm locked into the warning for two minutes or so until they finally get bored of talking and release control of the TiVo back to me. Then I have to go back and play the recording, only to be interrupted again 15 minutes later.
My cell phone only bugs me for things in my immediate area, and even then, they allow me to opt-out of certain types of alerts. So I don't need my TiVo chiming in and telling me to panic immediately.
Is there some way to abort an emergency alert so that my TiVo isn't locked up for the whole duration of the message? Is there some way to opt-out of the whole thing so that my TiVo doesn't do the alerts at all?
Purchased 3 TivoHDs in 2008 ~ one with Lifetime and the other two with monthly service. Now, five years later, my TivoHD with Lifetime service is constantly rebooting. Two TivoHDs with monthly ($9.95) service are fine. All 3 units have been left on 24/7, placed in friendly environmnets, & used about the same. Can not help being suspicous. Any comments?
My tivo is stuck on clearing and deleting everything. went over night still clearing and deleting. The red light has been blinking. I have searched and searched to find a answer but I have found nothing. Any help will be appreciated greatly. My model is tcd140060

I recently got caught up on this show and found it to be pretty good. Leaps and bounds way better than The Following. Glad to see more of it next season.
I just got this unit and at first wasnt getting hardly any of the channels, let alone HBO. I called Cox and they sorted it out, started receiving all channels apart from HBO. They et up for someone to come out tomorrow morning to have a look at it.
She also said i should call tivo ,see what they say. I did and they said it was a Cox cable problem and that my billing code wasnt inputted correctly. I checked with someone over at Cox and he said everything was right on their end.
The guy at Tivo said this was a common problem, so i was wondering if anyone here can help me out?
i just get the message that i am not authorized to view this channel and to contact my cable provider.
I have a Toshiba Series 2 SD-H400 with TiVo Basic. I have the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2100 cable box. I use an IR blaster to change channels. My cable provider is Cox.
The TiVo is cycling back and forth between the "Powering up" screen and "Just a few minutes more", so after doing some research it seems like it's a bad hard drive and I should throw out this TiVo. If I buy a used TiVo from ebay that comes with the console only (no wires or anything so I can get it for a cheaper price), can I use all the cords from my old SD-H400?
Just FYI since you can't watch it through TiVo, but ESPN3 supposedly starts 2013 WSOP coverage tonight @10PM EDT with "2013 World Series of Poker: Casino Employees No-Limit Hold 'Em (Final Table)"
I say supposedly because when I first looked was scheduled for 7PM, then briefly disappeared, then reappeared for 10.
If I do have a failed power supply how will a electronics repair person know which or what capacitor(s) to replace?
I just helped my sister upgrade her TiVo setup with a couple new Premier XL4s. We are now trying to figure out what to do with her original S1 and S2 TiVos that the Premiers replaced. Both of them still work fine. Both have lifetime subscriptions, and I believe both have upgraded hard drive capacity (I know for sure that at least of the two does).
Do these have any value above and beyond the $20 each that she can get for them from Weakknees? Isn't the lifetime sub alone worth more than that?
I'm tempted to take them off her hands and just hold onto them in case TiVo ever offers a lifetime sub transfer option again. But she thinks I'll just be adding to my clutter (an argument that has some merit).
So what value do they really have at this point? Or are they really only worth the $20 that weekknees is offering?
The S1 is a Sony SVR2000 with, if I remember correctly, dual 120 GB drives.
The S2 is a TiVo model (I don't know the exact model number) that I think was originally an 80 hour model that was upgraded to a larger hard drive.
Any input on the real value of these things would be most appreciated.
I have two Toshiba SDH400 TiVo units that were recording fine off coaxial cable up until the May 20, 2013 tornado hit our neighborhood in Moore, OK. Now we have moved back into our home and our services are back on (power, Cox cable (non-digital), etc.). I have rebooted, gone through the setup, etc. and neither TiVo will get a Basic Cable In signal. They will both play things recorded, and we have a couple things recorded as late as 2pm on Monday, May 20. Everything seems to work on them except getting the cable signal. Nothing since May 20 has recorded. It tries, then quits as the signal just gives a blank screen behind the notice about no cable. We do get cable again now and can watch it on our televisions, just not via the TiVo. So, we get no buffering, nor any signal to record. Tried re-powering, guided setup, shutting down, unplugging, etc. BOTH of our TiVo units are doing this same thing. Can these be fixed, or is this items to just add to the insurance claim?

It's too early to form opinions of who I'd like to see win just yet, but there's certainly an interesting mix - as usual.
Interesting to see people being sent home before they'd even finished cooking their lamb dishes. I'm sure it's prettu easy for the judges to form an opinion of the level of competence from watching their technique to that point.
I didn't see any posts on this when doing a search so I don't know if this is the first one or not. Any way, what I want to say is that this was one of the first concerts on TV where the sound was amazing. All the award shows and other concerts, the vocals are always drowned out by the instruments. With this one every word sang was clear as could be.
According to the guide it was suppose to be two hours long but it ended up only being one hour.
If I'm going to wait over 90 days to call in for an update, do it at a time when I don't need to use the home phone. This has gone on way too long today when
I should be doing other things.
I can't depend on the call being successful without watching it because our phone lines are old
& even with changing the codes, call still get interrupted by noise on the line.
My hard drive died. I have another AV-GP drive but no image.

Just wanted to update my network connection. Oddly, it said it Failed while negotiating yesterday. Went ahead anyway and twice, it stopped again with Failed while negotiating! I don't know what that means or what I need to do. My connection is fine!
Do you have any idea what's going on here and what I should do about it?
I'm aware of a bug whereby often times SDV channels will not tune, then simply using channel up/down will resolve and tune the problem channel. However my issue runs deeper with one particular SDV channel (Science HD) channel 335 in my area. About once/week I cannot tune this channel and using channel up/down doesn't resolve it. The only way for me to resolve it is to start recordings on all four tuners (Premiere XL4) excluding the problem channel, then cancel recordings and re-tune channel 335 which always seems to bring it back. Apparently if a tuner sits on this channel for too long the issue will start again, so forcing my TiVo to record 4 different channels somehow purges the tuners. Has anyone else had this issue?
