They sure do go through black guys...Tyrese better watch his back!
Now, I'm a little confused. I'm almost positive that the Guv knows that Andrea and Daryl were part of the same group. Shouldn't he realize that Daryl's presence is going to have an impact on Andrea's thinking?
I'm a little surprised they never did a perimeter sweep of the prison and found that rather gaping hole in their defenses. Unless they went to the 24 school of hard perimeters...
I have a TivoHD and just got a Kindle Fire HD. Is there a way to transfer Tivo files to the Kindle so I can watch items on the Kindle? A google search shows some programs that you have to pay for to use. I do not not mind paying for something that works well. Anyone have any experience with this?
I did a search and didn't see any mention of this.
Series three of An Idiot Abroad is now airing over in the UK and the first episode was released a few days ago. You can find it via "magical means."
I love this show and thought others might want to know it was back.
I would like to take my 10 k photos and separate them into year folders.doing this manually would take forever.Ideas? It would seem there would be a program out there if there is one that can identify duplicates.Searches have yielded little.
So my premiere seems to died. Tuners stopped picking up signal a few weeks ago. But everything else worked fine so I left it running and was streaming all od the recording off of it to other tivos.
Unplugged it to make room for new Tivo. When plugging it back in goes Immediately to all front lights blinking simultaneously
It had a 6month old TB drive in it. Tried with Original stock drive with same results.
Only thing I can think is Power Supply or Something else on Motherboard.
Took these pics of the Power Supply. Does anybody see anything that could be the problem?
I currently have two TiVo HD boxes with upgraded 1TB drives. One is in the living room, one in the bedroom. My living room box has a majority of my primary/favorite season passes and has lifetime. The bedroom box only gets a primetime season pass when there's a 3 or 4 way conflict on the living room, and is grandfathered in at 6.95/month.
My cable company is Buckeye Cablesystem, I have 1 M-Card and a tuning adapter for each box. I have been successful in the past moving a cablecard from one box to another, and getting it re-paired over the phone.
I have the opportunity to buy a TiVo Premier XL4 for about $270
I'm thinking of putting the XL4 in the living room. Since lifetime isn't transferable, and I don't believe I can do a TSN swap on the 6.95/month subscription for a premiere (correct me if I'm wrong), I would at least initially, do the 12.99/month with MSD. Since all the boxes would be active at the same time, I would use tivo.com to move all of my season passes from both HD boxes to the XL. Then, until the TiVo mini materializes, keep one box in the bedroom for MRV (Yes I know the limitations, for me it's just HBO & BBC America), and sell the other.
But, before take the plunge and spend money on myself at Christmas time, I have a few questions.
1) I know the XL4 is for digital cable only. I'm not 100% sure all of my channels are digital. There are still a few channels in the 2-70 range that are not offered in HD yet. My understanding was that many cable companies send out a digital version of their analog channels which cable boxes & cable cards tune to, in addition to the analog signal. I tuned to several of the low number cable channels, then went into the DVR diagnostics screen to check if it was analog or digital. So far, they all say "Modulation: QAM 256".
Am I looking in the right spot? That's what I want to see, right?
2) I already have Ethernet network drops in both rooms, which are connected to a separate switch, which is then connected to the router. (Helps keep TiVo network traffic separate from wireless/Internet traffic). If I understand correctly, the XL4 can act as a MOCA bridge. So, in theory, when the TiVo mini comes out, I could use the MOCA connection. My question is, which connection is better? I'm leaning towards using the Ethernet connection for the mini, and connect the cable line directly to the TV for those rare time I might (gasp) watch actual live tv. Thoughts?
3) If I bought the premiere 4 instead of the XL4 and upgraded the hard drive myself, would it be worth it? It looks like the 4 runs about $150 less than the XL, and 2TB drives run about $100. Sounds like I would lose THX and only save at most $50. Am I missing anything? Thoughts?
4) Are there any rumors about a new box coming out in 2013 other than the TiVo mini? I would hate to buy the XL4 then find out if I would have waited a couple months, I could have gotten a 6 tuner box, or one that has additional hardware/features.
Sorry this is such a long post, but I have tried to answer any "follow-up" questions in advance. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and any replies. :)
After spending 2 hours trying to get my new HBO subscription with Verizon FiOS to work on my OLED Series3, the tech spoke to some other department who told him its just not possible for me to get the channels to work on this model. He said its not a matter of encryption, but the fact that HBO channels are the only ones to use the MPEG4 format or something. Is this BS? I got HBO without a problem with Cablevision, and with FiOS I get Showtime with no issues (as well as Starz, Cinemax, etc. whenever they have free previews).
He advised me to call TiVo, but I don't see what they can do. Help?
I was trying to setup a new premier i ordered from TiVo's Black Friday sale....
Downloaded the software for new TiVo all done
This was going to replace my TiVo HD that was working fine (was going to my kids room)
So I took off the TiVo HD set it aside.
Connected the new premier with a new tuning adapter, and new cable card and it won't work. Reports and unplugging a done multiple signals sent from cablevision to the TA and CC.
Called TiVo they said if I'm stuck at the acquiring channel info screen with 75% its the CC
So called Cable to pair my good cable card for the premier using the new and old tuning adapter NO GOOD
Tried to put the known working cable card back to the TiVo HD with the old tuning adapter like I had before I even messed with the new stuff and guess what....the old setup I had wont work after working flawlessly for over a year.
I haven't had many hiccups over the years with TiVo and now I spent over 3 hrs futzing with this and now can't even get the stuff that worked back to the way it was
BTW I have another premier downstairs which is fine it wasn't near or touched at all during this whole process
Please help......my cable company is clueless

Having issues with downloads and streaming stuttering audio and video on specific content.
Local channel, Sesame Street. Fios. Stuttering so bad it's unwatchable. Stuttering on both iPhone 4S and iPad 2, regardless of download quality. Tried multiple downloads and quality. Stuttering/skipping on streaming as well.
Does not stutter on TiVo.
No stuttering on a different channel (history channel) - streaming or download.
Any insights. I bought the stream for downloads for my daughter in the car/etc. The stuttering/skipping makes it too bad to watch.
I never see threads about this show and it is the only late night I regularly record.
If you are a sporadic watcher or a used to watch person, this coming week might be a good time to check it out.
They've moved to a larger studio, Geoff is now voiced live every night with improv (he's clearly old friends with Craig as their banter has chemistry).
And they're getting a live band all next week.
They have been on fire for a couple of weeks- if you ever liked him it's a good time to watch!
I've copied this for your viewing pleasure:
Monday, December 3 Actor/Producer Seth MacFarlane, model Miranda Kerr
Tuesday, December 4 Actress Reba McEntire
Wednesday, December 5 Musican Richie Sambora
Thursday, December 6 Actor/Comedian Denis Leary
Friday, December 7 Actress Julie Delpy
All week: Richie Sambora as The Late Late Show House Band
Shameless plug over!

$200 for the two-tuner Premiere, 500Gb and the stream. Don't know how good of a deal it is really, because I have a stack of Premiere's and have been picking them up pretty cheap.
I set up a Season Pass for the BBC America series The Hour (a 6 episode miniseries that started last Wednesday). The Season Pass correctly picked up the second episode on December 5 but not the third episode on December 12. The episode is in the guide already but for some reason it does not show up as an upcoming episode for the series. So I have set up a second season pass. Who knows which pass (if any) will get the remaining episodes.
I've all but given up on this show, but watched this episode. I could have sworn Jeremy Sisto said "Oh, *****" in one scene. I watched it 3 times, and it still sounded like it.
so I have a tivo series 2 thats only single tuner with lifetime service. Have been renting a tivo from RCN (premier 1?) and its great but I can't really afford to rent it anymore lots of downgrading so i'm looking to buy a series 2 with a dual tuner and/or potentially trading my tivo2 single tuner w a fee for a dual tuner of some sort so I can downgrade the cable but have a dual tuner tivo...
once you have a tivo I guess you can't go back hah.
is the series 2 single tuner w lifetime service worth much?
anyone selling a dual tuner tivo w/ lifetime service thats not expensive??
Thanks in advance!
I have a TiVo Premiere Elite (XL4) for sale. It has a brand new 2TB hard drive and comes with brand new TiVo Glo Remote. Includes the following cables: HDMI, composite AV, ethernet, power.
Make me an offer before I put it up on eBay.
Can anyone please help me with the "order" of connections? I have Suddenlink cable, 2 TiVo Series 2 boxes, 2 digital converter boxes from Suddenlink, a DVD player, and a Samsung big screen DLP TV. Do I daisy chain the TiVos somehow? Or use a splitter so cable goes to each converter box and then each converter box to a TiVo? If so, where do I go from each TiVo?
I was getting basic Comcast channels on my old CRT just fine until a week ago or so.Now all I see is that I will need a digitla QAM TV. What is the best solution to receive the digital channels and convert them to Video to feed to the back of the TIVI without going to have to go to Comcast ? I see an Apex TV tuner converter ( DT250A) -- will this solve my problem ? Is thare a better ( cheaper ?) way to do this ?
i have a tivo hd with lifetime service on it with a dead 1TB hard drive.
does the collective wisdom suggest i sell it as-is, or put a hard drive in it and sell? is it better to sell on ebay or here on the tivo forums?
