Astonishingly stupid bits:
1) It's claimed those are 7.62x40 cartridges. They look nothing like the Wilson Combat 7.62x40. Note the colored tips, which the WCs don't have, and they appear to be rather tiny for 7.62/.308. I'd say they were ordinary 5.56/.223.
2) Those are obviously rifle cartridges. What the heck are they doing shooting them out of pistols?
Just thought I'd post that I'd been receiving a Can't Watch Now (V125) message on my Tivo Mini when I would try to watch a recorded show (Live TV worked fine). The message indicated that there was a problem with my Premiere connecting to the network, so I spent a long time messing with that box (connecting to Tivo Service, Restarting, network diagnostics...).
Then I connected the Mini to the Tivo Service (hoping it would resolve some incompatibility between software versions) but that didn't help either.
Finally, I restarted the Mini itself, and then I was able to view recorded shows as I could before.
I'm not positive that this would have resolved the issue immediately, but I guess that it would.
Hopefully this could save somebody else some time.
Is there an easy way to burn TiVo'd shows to DVD? I have a Series 2 TCD24008A, Tivo Desktop and a 15 day free trial of VideoReDo TV Suite. I tried transferring a show to Tivo Desktop then burning it with VideoReDo TV Suite, but just before finalizing the disc and it said something like "Disc Error!" Do I just have a bad disc or am I doing this wrong? It's just a blank DVD-R disc. Thanks for your help.
My "ToDo List" for First Run & Repeats of Breaking Bad is picking up the Pilot on 6/21 at 11:00 p.m. Central Time on AMC, followed by the next four episodes in what looks like it could be an entire series replay marathon, airing maybe just Friday nights into early Saturday or something???
The problem is my program guide is only populated up to 8:00 Friday, June 28th at this point.
Just a heads up to anyone who has missed any of the series that there may be a chance to get caught from AMC broadcasts.
This will flesh out, I'm sure, as future program guide data populates in the coming days or weeks.
It may need to pick up if they are going to air the entire series again before the August 11th start of the remaining Season 5/series episodes.
If you're interested, you may want to keep an eye out for this.
I noticed that both of my Tivos had not done an update on Friday. So I forced one and it failed saying it was disconnected during the update. I tried it off and on all day Friday. Then this morning I tried it and both Tivos updated fine. This means it was not a hardware problem with my Tivos. (I had hard rebooted both which helps with many a problem) It was not a problem with my internet because the diagnostics said that was OK and I could see the lights on my modem happily blinking. Weird. Was Tivo down?
Woke up excited that jmfs had finished the copy of my original drive to my new 2TB drive. Expanded and supersized, dropped in the TiVo and...I get a light show. The welcome screen comes on very briefly and then all the lights start flashing (green power stays solid). Works when I put the original drive back in. Plugged it back into my computer and jmfs sees it as a TiVo drive.
Suggestions? From what I have found searching, it seems to be a bad drive. I'll run some diags on it after I've had some caffeine!
FX is going to launch a new channel this September called FXX. Shows such as It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The League, Legit and Totally Biased with Kamau Bell will be moved there. If you have a season pass for these shows they may not pick them up on the new channel (if you even get the new channel). Archer, Louie and Wilfred will remain on FX.
I've got Verizon FIOS (so no CCI bytes except for HBO/SHOW, etc.)
I have 2 Premiere XL4 and 1 Tivo HD.
When I try to transfer ANY shows (definitely no CCI byte) from one Premier XL4 to the other, I get this error:
This show was not transferred onto this Tivo box because it was not found on the "NAME of DVR". For more information, you can check the "NAME oF DVR" recording history.
But the shows ARE on the DVR!!!!!
I can transfer from the TivoHD unit just fine. Just the Premiere XL4 to XL4 doesn't work
I reset my TiVo and it has turn on "TiVo Suggestions" and it's filling my HD I know the programs recorded in this folder will delete themselves but I rather not have the suggestions turn on.
Is anyone having a problem lately (today, mostly) with the MLB.tv app causing your Premiere to reboot often? I haven't had a problem with the app until today.
Live tv and recordings work fine. I have the Premiere connected with Ethernet.
The Premiere just reboots constantly when trying to watch baseball games. They stream fine on my tablet.
I have a premiere xl on version 20.3.1 (not sure how recent this is?).
I also have a hd xl. when I switch inputs on my receiver between the 2 tivos, when I go back to the premiere, its sound will be muted. I have to hit pause twice on the TiVo remote to get the sound back.
I've also noticed on the premiere, if I rewind the live channel a bit and then hit fwd and advance to do the 15 minute advance, when it hits the end of the buffer ("live") the sound is muted and I again have to hit pause twice to get sound again.
All support chat wanted was to try switching to pcm and to connect the TiVo directly to the tv.
anyone else experience this? the HD XL does not experience any of this.

I'm considering leaving DISH to go to Xfinity/Comcast. I want the Premiere XL4 because Comcast DVR's are way behind the times. I'm in Sacramento. I called Comcast and they said TIVO is not compatible with the their system. From what I can tell from reading, that not true.
Is there somewhere I can find the steps needed to use TIVO with Comcast. Obviously, Comcast needs to cooperate or it won't work. How do I make them cooperate?
I'm assuming I purchase (not lease) the TIVO for $399. I then pay a monthly fee ($15) or lifetime ($100) to TIVO. Comcast shouldn't charge me for a receiver or for leasing equipment but I need to plug the TIVO into the Comcast system -- somehow?
I then pay Comcast for the programming only? How do I get the correct cable card? It seems like a big disadvantage for TIVO that Comcast doesn't cooperate.
Also, since this would be a new service how does Comcast do the install with TIVO's equipment. I must be missing something. It can't be this difficult to get TIVO to work with Xfinity/Comcast? :confused:

TiVo is finally doing something they should have been doing long ago.
Charter recently (June 11) went to all digital in North Texas. I dutifully installed cablecards and paired them. No problem with that. Went through all of the setup again to download the new channels. But, TiVo does not seem to know about the channel lineup change for this particular area. To check, I did Repeat Guided Setup and input a zip code for a Charter area that went through the changeover in April. The lineup then is pretty close (but not perfect as expected).
I have submitted a lineup problem ticket at tivo.com. However, the responses seem like the support person on the other end of email is responding from a script.
I thought that I would come here and see if anyone else from the North Texas/Dallas area has had this problem and had better luck getting a resolution.
Haven't been able to connect to the service since about 12:30 PM, so no Netflix or Streambaby. I can ping the boxes and my internet connection is fine, but I've gotten N11, N15, N18 and C133 errors.
I'm in Texas. I've done all the usual troubleshooting, but no joy. Anyone else having issues?

Haven't had a need to download a program from my Series 2 to my PC for awhile but this past week when I started kmttg, chose (1) program and chose "Start Job" I received the following error;
1st line - tivodecode failed (exit code: 9) - check command: "D:/Blair/Tivo/kmttg Videos/tivodecode.exe" -mak MAK --out....etc.
2nd line - read chunk data: No error
3rd line - seek: No error
4th line - Encryption by Qualcomm
The only thing new in my setup is the actual Series 2 DT which I replaced with another Series 2 DT with a larger HDD this past January. My replacement Tivo was recognized by both pyTivo & kmttg without issues until I went to download program off Tivo onto my PC.
pyTivo works without a hitch, in that I can transfer videos off PC onto Series 2 which I do frequently. The transferring of programs from Tivo to PC is failing though kmttg sees all programs on the Tivo to the point I can choose whatever I like, it just won't start the decoding process. The correct MAK is listed and nothing jumps out at me when viewing the "configuration".
I'm using Windows XPsp3 and version of kmttg is v0p7 ,which as stated, worked flawlessly for me. Java has been kept up-to-date. The initial instinct is to install the latest version, but I hesitate in that everything has been working well and I don't want to make matters potentially worse without further insight.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!!! :confused:
I have a Premiere 4 with the 20.3.1 update (I will have to double check, but I believe so because I see MLB.TV is an app option now). For the past week I have had trouble Netflix. Up until that point, absolutely no problems with the app.
I will start streaming a movie or TV episode and the pause/play/up buttons do not do anything. The content will play fine, but when it is over I just get a black screen and I have to press the Tivo button to get back to the Tivo Menu. If I go back into Netflix, it loads and I can play content but the same issues happen. I have to reset the Tivo in order for Netflix to work properly again.
Has anyone else seen this issue?
I have a Premier Series 4, I use it for OTA only, today I lost a channel and went to the signal strength meter and it shows 0 for every channel. It shows digital signal acquired and I have a picture but no signal strength. Software version: 20.3.1-01-2-746
Also if I go to the diags screen it also says 0 and snr = 0 also
Also what does the service level mean? mine is C:070813
I never saw this before.
