got a new premiere xl4. worked fine for 2 weeks. after the fall update i am now plagued with ertors that say there is a problem with the signal on this channel. it does it on all channels including non-sdv channels. the tuning adapter reports 90+ strength and no corrections and signal lock. only a reboot of the tivo will fix the problem. any ideas?
My units have started rebooting everyday at the same time, One is rebooting at 12:55pm and another is rebooting at 7:55pm eastern, both are 6.4, has been happening 2 days in a row now another rebooted at 5:55pm, Anybody else start seeing this since 11/7/12 ?
The network is looking to shake things up by shifting the action drama back to its old Friday 8 PM berth. According to advance TV listings, Nikitas first airing in the new (old) 8 PM slot will be on November 30.
We're considering offering on a house in the Tuscany subdivision in Cypress. But I can't find a website or anything for the subdivision/HOA. I'd like to try to find out what amenities are available and stuff like that. If anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it!
So now we know that the SEALs killed someone in Pakistan. I don't know why that would then warrant the US nuking the country. I'd think that killing someone would make such a measure less necessary.
We also know that when Chaplin told the SecDef that the SEALs were still alive, that triggered all kinds of alarms in D.C. Hopefully the broken-arm guy will live so they can interrogate him.
I'm still a little baffled that there hasn't been more fallout from the Admiral shooting the WH aide. And I'm extremely baffled as to what the creators have in mind as a long-term plot for the show. We saw in this episode that the locals are starting to get restless because they're running out of supplies. There's no way Chaplin can keep the blockade in place forever, and it just doesn't make sense for the crew of a US nuclear sub to take up permanent residence on some tropical island. So I have no idea where this whole thing is going. I'm most interested in the Autumn Reeser character trying to figure out the conspiracy in DC, yet they didn't even touch on that in this episode, so I wonder if that's not going to be a major plot point.
Hello everyone. Although this is my first post as a new member, I have followed your forum now for a few years. Been very grateful for the wealth of knowledge on here.
That being said, I was hoping to revisit the HDVR2 tuner 2 pixelization issue. I have a SDDVR-80 that has provided many years of faithful service. Like others, it developed the tuner 2 issue a while back. Disconnecting s-video and replacing/adding the power supply capacitors helped, but the problem persists. It's bad enough now that a few channels will cause a restart. I am aware of the option to add a capacitor to the motherboard, but am hesitant to do so. Besides not being confident in my soldering skills, I'm afraid it might eventually cause other damage if the underlying defect (likely the power supply) is not fixed as well.
This leads to my questions:
First, has anyone tried replacing all of the capacitors on the power supply to see if that will fix the problem instead of just the two mentioned in the instructables article?
Does the tuner 2 problem only effect series 2 units? I.E. if I were to switch to an HR10-250 or an R10 will I be ok? (I have both of those as spares)
Has anyone measured the voltages on the ribbon cable of a known good power supply (or off a repair manual) to see if we could adapt a PC power supply to replace the aging original units? I realize it won't fit in the case, but at this point I wouldn't care.
Thanks in advance for any input or advise.
I did a serach and didn't really see anything on this. I'm thinking about upgrading to Windows 8 and was just wondering if anyone had actually installed Tivo-to-Go on it?
I know it's not officially supported yet, just wondering if it worked anyway.
I'm a relatively new user of TiVo, and despite the poor response of apps like HuluPlus, I'm enjoying the experience - with exception of those inserted 'ads'. I want to tell someone I don't need 70 free digital magazine subscriptions; nor do I want some extra tough Bounty paper towels. These are most irritating when I go to delete something after watching a show, and the ad inserts itself into the navigation screen. The screen jumps and I sometimes select the ad by accident - or maybe that's the whole idea?
I doubt there is, but a lot of people here have hidden shortcuts/key sequences to turn things on or off. Is there any way to turn these annoying ads off?
I think they are particularly tacky when I'm already paying for a monthly service - they'd be more understandable if there was no subscription for TiVo service.
I Love The 1880's on history channel, looks like it will be pretty good.
Is anyone going to record this Sat. night?
14 rednecks begin there quest for $100,000.oo
They are playing a game of Human Cornhole on the first show. How could anyone think this up?
Long Island Iced Tea - the best tea EVER! :)
Sheldon: Get the Mad Hatter on the horn, I'm having a tea party.
Penny: You might want to pace yourself.
Sheldon: I drink tea all the time. I think I know what I'm doing.
Amy: It's called "Fun with Flags." They're not at half-mast, nobody died. Let's try and keep it upbeat.
I replaced a Premiere 4XL and copied the season passes from the broken one to another I had in the house.
Ok, new one came yesterday and tried for about 2 hours and nothing transfered (I know, should have waited longer), so I went in and started to add the SP. About 10:30 all of my other SP showed up, so I now have a bunch of duplicates. Total about 190.
How does one delete season passes easily?
Going through the list is a real pain.
Thanks for the usual good and quick responses on the forum.
OK, so I have a Tivo HD with an upgraded 1TB drive in it that has started giving me the dreaded S03 error.
I tried to modify my setup info and now I'm stuck in the continual Guided Setup loop and can't get out of it.
I've tried both the 57 and 58 kickstarts to no avail and spoken with Tivo Customer Service. The nice woman there informed me that it sounds like the drive is bad and would need to be replaced.
Just for kicks, I checked the status of the capacitors on the power supply but they were fine (not bulging).
I've also disconnected my tuning adapter, but so far that hasn't helped.
With apparently nothing working, I've resigned myself to replacing the hard drive, but I'm wondering what will work best.
I would like to preserve my recordings from the upgraded hard drive that's failing if possible.
If I use WinMFS to do a disk-to-disk copy, will that solve the problem?
I do have the original 160GB drive that came with the unit, but I'd rather not copy that drive because it won't have all my current recordings. I did transfer everything I could, but there are still a lot of recordings that cannot be transferred due to copyright restrictions. (Thanks, Time Warner!)
The only other time I had a problem with a hard drive on a Tivo was with my Sony Series 1 unit which GSOD'd on me and I was able to copy my shows from one drive to the other without a problem.
Wholly awkwardness!!!! Khloe is absolutely horrible! Mario Lopez can handle the MC duties by himself without a problem and will elimate the awkwardness of Khloe doing what ever she is doing.
I like the rankings.
If anyone needs a free live chat feature I have been very satisfied with Chatwing.
