I really enjoy this show, but I have to say this is one of the more enjoyable eps I've seen in a long time.
Many laughs, many great lines, thoroughly enjoyed it!
Came home tonite after my two FAVORITE shows were scheduled to record to sadly find out I had no Live (or recorded) TV anywhere. All channels were black. Reboot, back in business. Thank goodness for On Demand or I would really be cursing up a storm!
This has never happened prior to the update of a few days ago. Once in a while I had V53 errors, but Live TV was still present... just no live buffer would get recorded.
Did they change one bad symptom for one worse symptom?!?!?
Hate to digress to the bash-Tivo mentality, but I just am totally flabbergasted at the continued poor quality product I am seeing since leaving my S2 behind.
The next season of Amazing Race has returning cast members. Some of them have been on multiple times. They started filming this past Saturday.
I am glad to see Dave and Connor back as I hoped they would get another chance.

Herb Flight Time Lang & Nate Big Easy Lofton, Harlem Globetrotters, seasons 15 and 18
Jet and Cord, cowboys, season 16 and 18
Rachel and Brendon, Big Brother couple, season 20
Mallory Ervin and Mark Jackson, seasons 17 and 18 & season 20 (These two initially raced with different partners)

I have had my Roamio Plus for a few weeks now.
For the most part, I love it! I never realized how slow my Premier was until I got the Roamio.
What I don't like is the almost daily networking issues - C133 errors, Netflix not working, etc.
Got the C133 error 4 times tonight - it would come back, then go out again.
Had to start Netflix 3 times before it would start, and then it buffered several times.
Anyone else experienceing this as well?
All and all though, the Roamio is what the Premier should have been
The alert was cancelled hours ago on my Roamio, but that night when we crank up the Mini, the EAS scroll is on the Mini. All the functions have ceased to work on the remote and the only way I can get it to work is to unplug the Mini from the power.
Is there another way to "thaw" my Mini other than unplugging it? TIA for any help
FWIW, the Mini is connected to the Roamio via MoCA and it's the only Mini attached to the Roamio
My Roamio came with a document "Installing a CableCARD". I've installed many, had a card ready to go and was going to install it before first powering up the new Roamio. BUT the Instructions say: "Before installing the CableCARD decoder...
1) Set up your TiVo DVR by following the instructions on the Start Here poster. You do not need a CableCARD for initial DVR setup!
2) Complete the DVR's on-screen Guided Setup....
Well, I did that ("Before installing the CableCARD decoder...") instead of just installing it before I started. As a result, the DVR did not know about most of my channels and I spent hours trying to figure out why I had no guide data for channels I had manually checked in my channel list after installing the card.
Finally, I figured out that I needed to run Guided Setup AGAIN with the CableCARD installed. Why not just start WITH the CableCARD? WHY did the instructions say to complete Guided Setup BEFORE installing the card?
STUPID instructions! I should have just IGNORED the instructions and done what I intended to do.
EPIC FAIL, TiVo!
Was hoping the latest iOS update fixed some of the "issues" that they said it did, but I'm having the same problem I've had in the past. At times, my Streaming device on my Roamio Plus just stops working and can't be found. This happens when I'm away from home in another city where I can do really anything after this happens. It was streaming fine for a bit, then stopped and I tried to reload the stream. Now it's stuck with "Can't find streaming device."
... Work in Progress I guess :)
I have 2 2-tuner premiere units. Now that dynamic tuning is released, will the 2-tuner units support it? I don't care that there would only be 1 tuner left on the premier, I have an outdoor porch that I would love to have a mini on. Right now it has an old series 2 that is single tuner sd.
I know this isn't exactly on-topic "ebay", but I was going to sell my TivoHD on ebay but don't want to bother.
It's an unmodified TivoHD, without lifetime - service fee required.
Anyone interested? Just cover the shipping costs.
Just wondering if anyone who has a new Slide Pro remote is having the same RF issues lots of people, including me, are having with the standard Roamio RF remote. Does it ever want to click out of RF and show red IR?
Instead of just lights, put a character LCD on the front like the DVD series 2 units or the Tivo Series 3 units. Also put buttons on the front to control the tivo, built in wifi, clear qam guide, integrated blu ray, integrated convert to iphone so you can put your shows on your iphone.
I have had a Premier for a year or so, and it is a good TiVo, step up from the two TiVo HD I also have.
I do not use the HD menus as the are slow / slugish. I keep the SD menus on so that when I hit list/My Shows, I get the list quick, not a pause......fill in a few suggestions, then show a list.
Has anyone that may feel the same as I do about the Premier, moved from a Premier, to a Roamio and can comment on the 'speed of the HD menu'?
......those 3 Minis haven't been used since yesterday and the 4 hours have long expired. In fact, 2 of the Minis weren't used yesterday at all. In the past the Minis have always released the tuners.
Or do the Minis release the tuners just when needed?
Ive been a Tivo customer for eleven years but I am rapidly becoming disenchanted with them. They sold me a Roamio Pro knowing the Charter my cable providers cable cards did not support a 6 tuner DVR. After 45 day of lowering signal strength below 100%, reducing the SNR to 36db, 6 Charter visits, the installation of 10 different cable cards, installing a new Roamio Pro unit and many arguments with Charter over firmware upgrades now both Tivo and Charter have told me that there is nothing else that can be done but to turn off 3 of my 6 tuners. Conclusions if you live in Fort Worth, Texas do not waste your money buying a Tivo Roamio.
I could not stream one box to the other last night and this am. Unusual since both premieres have been on my account >12mos and both in good standing with full wired ethernet connection.
Called tech support this morning and one of the boxes had their media access key "dropped out." When I attempted to pull the media access key off the TIVO menu, messages and settings, the media access key was not an option. Thats when the troubleshooting technician figured it out. This was after about 20 mins on the line and box restarts.
Media access key signal was resent via tech and after a network connection to tivo streaming is working again.
Signal on sat 2 - 95%
Started about 8am Denver
We have a little snow here but nothing on the dish, lnb etc.
I'm not sure what is happening maybe it's a different problem
When I try to toggle between channels the second will say seaching for sat 1
but that won't play any of the channels
if I toggle back then I can scroll through all channels
Has my DVR had it?
Rebooted and it was weird. It was on favorites but all previous favorites not in list so thought the channels weren't working. With some work it is back to normal. Reprogramed some favorites and now I can toggle between channels... and NO more searching for sat 1.
I have been having problems lately transferring videos from my computer via the TiVo Desktop Plus application to my Tivo Premiere. I have a wired connection to my Tivo from my router. It will act like it is transferring a video, the blue light will be on and the video will show up on my Tivo, however, at some point the transfer will stop and video will disappear. I am using the Share music, photos & video part of the application to share specific folders. I have it set up to automatically transfer All. I would try to manually transfer the videos, but for some other reason the computer I use does not show up on the Now Playing on COMPUTER NAME. At first I was thinking it had something to do with my internet being slow, but that shouldn't effect a wired connection, right? And even so, that issue has been resolved.
Another issue I have noticed is that I have to reboot my computer for it to even start the process of transferring videos.
I am running Windows 8, my Tivo software version is 188.8.131.52a-01-2-746, I have an external HD attached to the Tivo, I am at 28% full.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I'm about to buy a Roamio box to replace one of my HD boxes. I have many hours of programs on my HD boxes that I'd like to transfer to the new Roamio.
Can I just transfer them to my PC, then transfer them to the Roamio once it's set up?
Also, will I be able to transfer programs between the Roamio and an existing HD XL?
Just saw the HBO app update supports chromecast. Can anyone check if it can cast to the Roamio and Mini without any issues?
