If you set up a SP for MasterChef Junior when it hit the guide, it no longer works. It looks like they changed the name to just MasterChef and an existing SP for that will pick it up.
First airing is 9-27 with an episode title "Junior edition: Here Come the Kids"
Using the cablecard menu on my orig S3 the firmware being reported for my two M cards is as follows:
Card #2 FW Version: 03.31, 02.65, 03.25
Card #1 FW Version: 02.01, -.-, 03.25
Considering buying a Roamio but want to know if I'm going to be able to enjoy all 6 tuners. Tivo support says I need firmware 2.65 for Moto cards. So it appears the card #2 should work but not card #1, correct?
I have TWC near Toledo OH and their support claims I can only receive 2 tuners on any CC but we all know how reliable they can be.

In the past, I got offers of Hulu Plus for free for 6 months due to having TiVo Premiers (2-tuner). In order to get the 6 month offers, I remember inputting a different TiVO service number each time & therefore essentially got 1 free year of Hulu Plus.
I recently got a 4-tuner Premiere. Is there any way to still redeem this offer? If so, where?
Maybe im lost, but lets say im hit the tivo button while watching tv by mistake or i just want to browse. How do i exit of the tivo main screen? iv tried clear, black notting works?
Just gathering thoughts/opinions and advice
I just upgraded to a Roamio Plus today - after some hassle with Fios (and getting them to pair it properly), I think the Roamio is awesome. I am having some issues however with the built-in Stream. Here are my specifics:
- I have Verizon Fios and a Roamio Plus. Plus is using moca (built in) for internet feed
- I had a standalone Stream that I removed from the network because I understand there is no need for it given that I have Roamio built-in Stream (although happy to put it back on if the redundancy helps? Thoughts on this?)
- I can stream shows to my IPAD just fine - seems to work well
- I run into issues with IPAD downloading - the app seems to pause, time-out, lose connection to the Stream. If I am downloading a show, I have to click to reconnect the download process and this has happened multiple times for a single download
- I re-installed the TIVO app several times. I re-booted the Verizon Fios router but continued to receive download stoppage issues
- My last ditch effort has been to power off the router; power off the Roamio; unscrew the coax's to each; re-power the router; wait for internet to come on-line; re-power the TIVO. I am now downloading a 1.09G movie. At this point, I am keeping my fingers crossed as it has not paused out (yet)....but while I wait, I figured I would see if anyone has other ideas or recommendations?
Bottom line: Two questions really: 1) Any benefit of redundancy from keeping a TIVO stream standalone on a network that has a Roamio with integrated Stream?; and 2) any good tips for avoiding download errors when downloading shows to IPAD? (By the way, I did a port test and it checked out okay - so I think I have access to the required ports
I am very appreciative of these forums and the great help I get from here
This is service by Cox - Orange County.
Like to see if anyone else had had this issue before the tech shows up.
I have a series III and just bought a new Roamio for a second device. Of course they both have cablecards & tuning adapters. After much hassle tyring to get the Roamio running, it turns out that only one tuning adapter at a time will function (connected to either unit) but when attaching a second one, the amber light just blinks continually. Also it seems that to have one of the TAs working, the other TA has to be completely disconnected (like from the cable), not just have the power off.
I suspect when the tech comes tomorrow he'll say, like they always do, that the old cable inside the walls isn't good enough to carry a good enough signal to 2 tuning adapters.
.....update..all of a sudden both TAs are working.....
Only problem is one of them doesn't get channel 310 which in the past just takes a new pairing from cox. This time it didn't work so the tech is still coming out.
I'd still like to hear if anyone else had these issues since problem usually don't go away.
I just got a Roamio unit. So I was going to go reset my Series3 so I could sell it. So I selected the Delete everything.
My series 3 has worked perfectly since day 1. I got the unit right when it came out. Model TCD648250B 06-Oct-06
After the "Welcome Powering Up" and the "Almost there. Just a few minutes more..." it reboots every time.
code 54 and did all tests, all good.
code 58 Media File System (MFS) cleanup completed.
I also replaced a capacitor C701 (it looked slightly leaking)
with a 6$ radio shack 2200uF35V (higher than the 2200uF25V) is that OK? I figured it was fine because I fixed my samsung TV which has the same issue with higher Voltage capacitors.
I even replaced the motherboards battery CR2032
but the same problem..... keeps rebooting...
why after 7 years, the first time I reset the box to sell does it die?
could it still be the hard drive even tho the test pass?
any advice would be great!
Roamio Plus connected via Ethernet for networking & coax for cable input.
Mini plugged into the coax (no Ethernet)
Would this work? Or would I need to buy a $50 MoCA bridge for the Mini?
I have a TiVo Premiere, and I'm paying a lower than normal (<$12.99) monthly service fee.
If I sold the unit to a friend, would they get the same low rate, or will they have to pay the full retail monthly rate?
I recall in the past that the monthly rates followed the DVR, but I don't know if that still holds true today.
Has anyone else had a problem setting up a Season Pass for the current (September on Monday night) season? I can't, and chatting with tech support was useless.
Well, I had this problem with the Premiere XL and today, after about 2 weeks of use, the Roamio Pro is not responding to either my universal remote, the Tivo remote with IR or RF or the Tivo app remote on my iPhone. I get the yellow flash on the front of the unit with the remotes (not the app), but the Roamio just sits there acting dumb. I cannot pause or get to any menu.:(
Great! I guess I'll yank the plug to get a reboot. I hate doing that as the aforementioned XL hard drive died when I was replacing it with the Roamio. Thank goodness for Weaknees.
I really got into this show while I watched 6 or 7 TiVo'd episodes in a row. Then I became disappointed when it was revealed that David Tate, like so many other tv villains, was practically omniscient and omnipotent. I like the Marco, Sonya and Hank scenes but I want to ffwd through the David Tate scenes. I know I can't, so I'm stuck watching them with distaste. Maybe we'll get a better, more real big bad next season if this show comes back.
I really like this show. It's funny, quirky and interesting. I do find myself laughing out loud, which isn't the case for lots of comedies.
Of course, I LOVE monkey!
I heard it's likely to get cancelled (already?).
Anyone else watching? Liking? Or not?
I just got my tivo mini hooked up via moca. Does anyone know how much dAta usage this takes? My Comcast Internet is capped at 250. Just wanted to check to see if anyone knew. I appreciate the info on this site.
Not sure why its not here, but if you go on over to the TiVo support forums here:
You'll find entry #17 which worked for me:
Based in the reports of the following steps resolving the issue regarding TiVo Streams failing during step 4.
1) On the TiVo iPad app, in the settings icon, select "System Information" under TiVo Stream
2) Scroll to the bottom and select "Make Service Call"
3) This can take some time to update the TiVo Stream. Return to this screen occasionally until the Software Update Status says "Pending Restart".
4) On the same screen, select "Restart TiVo Stream". This took 5 or so minutes for me
5) Go back and re-attempt TiVo Stream Setup.
We would like to request that those of you who have experienced the issue try the above steps and let us here at TiVo know the outcome. We would like to verify if this is a resolution that all customers can use. We appreciate any assistance you are willing to offer and thank you all for your patience while we work to resolve this issue. We appreciate all your assistance.

I'll bundle the XL4 and Stream for $325.
Just purchased a brand new tivo roamio pro. I'm upgrading from my premier Xl. I have an m-card from my previous tivo(nds).
After calling up to have my m-card binded, and completing set up I kept getting zero stations, ever channel was coming in as a black error v52.
I worked with cablevision for about an hour over the phone. Tech suggested I go exchange m-card.
I Exchanged the card called cablevision again rebinded. Same problem.
Called tivo support. After many reboots and attempts to get it to work they called cablevision. They attempted many things. Still black on all channels. After an hour tivo said it was due to a low signal. (Maybe to many splitters) I tried moving the tivo near where the cable comes into the house. Still nothing. Any suggestions this is killing me.
The last two episodes of the series will run about 10 minutes longer than usual. Both episodes, Sunday's (Sept. 22) "Granite State" and the Sept. 29 finale, "Felina," will run from 9 to 10:15 p.m. ET.
We'd say "adjust your DVRs accordingly," but chances are that's already happened.
I just noticed it this was already posted in the TV Talk forum. I should have checked their first.:)
