When I purchased my Roamio, I transferred all the shows from my Premiere to the Roamio. I've since disconnected the Premiere from the network in anticipation of selling it on eBay.
For some reason the Premiere still shows in the now playing list.
Does anyone know how to delete it from the list?
My Tivo's have stopped getting channel lineup change info, but the guide does show the correct info. What could have happened?
The Tivo's always make the daily calls.
I've had the same black screen tuning issues reported by others in the forum. My issues appear to be tuning adapter related with SDV channels failing regularly. I've seen "Channel Not Available", "Problem with the signal..", and just the black screen with DVR diagnostics having resolution status pending indefinitely.
Tomorrow I have a truck roll to check signal strength. Unfortunately I've tried signal boosters, removing splitters, reducing tuner counts, swapping both cable cards and tuning adapters with no resolution.
Hopefully the tech finds something, but I'm curious if anyone is having success or similar issues on Brighthouse CFL. I'd love to hear that someones having success in this area b/c at this point I'm at a loss.
Just upgraded to a Roamio Pro from a series 3. I'm really enjoying the upgrade but one annoyance is that I used to be able to have the Info/Channel Banner clear quickly. This used to be a setting under Displays but on the Roamio it doesn't display. Any ideas?
The remote is paired to my Roamio and will work in RF mode for a little while after I hold the TiVo button + D but then it will switch back to IR mode and then back and forth every few seconds or minutes.
Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions?
I've tried resetting the remote and removing the batteries.
I recently received a service update. The software version on my unit went from 11.0k-01.... to 11.0m-01...
What is the difference between the 0k and the 0m versions?
It doesn't make sense...I just don't understand....why Mc/Am are getting the Romeo/Juliet edit. :)
Perhaps this is why Andy is so good at playing both sides.
On my Roamio Plus, When I am watching anything on Netflix, if I pause the program, then unpause, it takes about 5 seconds for the audio to start back up again. I can FF and RW just fine and the audtio starts right away. Just not after a pause.
Anyone else see this issue?
Currently have DTV and am under contract for a little while yet, but starting to look at the Roamio. I have 3 HD-DVR receivers and are configured with Whole Home DVR.
With DTV I am currently paying $6 per extra receiver ($12), a HDTV fee ($10) a DVR fee ($10) and a Whole Home fee ($3).
If I were to purchase a Roamio Plus and 2 mini's - and pay lifetime service for all three devices - what other monthly expenses will Comcast charge (outside of the content package itself and taxes/regulatory fees)? Cable card fees? Any other DVR or HD fees?
Kind of irritated by the extra fees from DTV and would love the TiVo again.
Thanks for the help!
I have a new (small, local) cable company which is provided by my landlord. The cable they provide is ALL digital and unencrypted (on the back end, all they really do is stream dish network programming)...
Upon requesting a cablecard, anyone I spoke to over the phone did not know what I was talking about so I had to leave a message for a tech. They returned my call and told me that since their digital cable is unencrypted I do not need a cablecard and they would not provide one. They also (for some reason...) said IF I needed one to contact motorola since they are the manufacturer of the M-Card....... I'm getting the feeling these guys have absolutely no idea what they're talking about? Anyone else have a similar experience anywhere?
Aren't cable companies required by law to provide cable cards upon request? Someone I spoke to from TiVo suggested that my cable company was small enough that it would not be required by law to provide the cable card but neither of us could find any documentation supporting that. Has anyone else heard that (link please?)?
Anyone having an issue w/ the remote not responsive when the TiVo unit's downloading stuff (e.g. amazon instant video, or podcasts etc.)?
Hi, have my Roamio Pro for about a week now.
Ever since getting it, I've had problems with internet connectivity.
When I press the TiVO button, or when I go to the what to watch now section, I'd see various messages about not connected to the internet , or not connected to the tivo service, or connected to the internet but some problem. Netflix also fails to connect.
Errors: C501, C133, ui-133
When the problem happens, I just need to wait a couple of seconds, then it resolves itself and the error goes away.
If the error shows up, and I troubleshoot the network connection, it always works, no problems.
My iOS TiVO apps also report the box has lost internet connectivity.
It looks like the TiVo has some intermittent network problem.
I contacted chat support, and I felt like the person could not get me of the line quick enough, did you reboot, no, have you rebooted, no, ok reboot, and then come back, bye.
I've swapped ethernet cables.
I've swapped switch ports.
My internet connection is working just fine.
I have many devices connected and none have any problems.
I tried the same CAT6 cable that my working Roku uses for the TiVO, same problem.
Searching I see old threads dating back to 2011 with similar symptoms.
Wired CAT6 ethernet.
I have some older series 3 HD TiVos that have standard remotes with the 1-2 switch to allow one TiVO peanut remote to control two TiVOs. These older series 3s are all in basement rooms and lightly used on a daily basis.
I now also have a 4-tuner premeire in our main bedroom, but am using an older Series 3 (OLED) glo remote with it. All works good.
I was thinking of moving one of the older series 3 TiVos from the basement and stack it on top of the bedroom's 4-tuner Premiere, but then wanted to somehow use only one remote for both. Is this possible with the Series 3 GLO remote or does the remote HAVE to have that 1-2 switch in order to be able to do this?
Anyone else seen this? I was streaming a show from my Premiere. It was an SD show, 480i, recorded from an Analog channel. I played a few minutes of it and it worked fine, then I went into the menus to check something, and when I tried to resume it I could hear the audio but the video was black. I left it playing for a few seconds thinking it might recover, but it didn't so I exited and restarted the stream from the beginning. This time it worked.
It only happened that once, but I haven't watched a lot of shows on it yet, so I'm wondering if this is going to be a common problem or not.
We're thinking of getting DISH but wondering if buying the lifetime Tivo might be better than going with the Hopper. We hate subscriptions. Although being able to record 2000 hours on the Hopper is better than 75 on the Tivo, how many shows can you watch? Also the monthly fees on the Hopper plus Joey go up $12/month for a second TV. But we haven't tried either interface. Any thoughts, opinions?
I just spent server hours on the phone with SonicWall, as my Firewall / IPS was not allowing the download of the Tivo program updates.
I had recently updated to firmware 5.9.x on the SonicWall, and the IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) was block the Tivo programming update as a LOW LEVEL MALWARE ATTACK!
So, either the new firmware or the latest signatures for the latest firmware (5.9 at this posting), was causing the issue.
Unfortunately, you only have two options with a SonicWall:
1) Allow the Tivos to by-pass the IPS system completely. (Do you trust Tivo?)
2) Turn off the Low Priority Attacks setting on the SonicWall IPS.
Unlike a Palo Alto or Tipping Point, it appears that a common SonicWall (e.g. small business one) can not be set to allow a specific tripped rule to be turned off for a specific network object.
[At least that's what they told me... which doesn't make sense...]
I have seen a few threads where people have talked about transferring all their existing shows to the Roamio. Is that possible in bulk in any fashion? I don't really want to go show by show and move things, as that would take a lot of navigation just to get going. Can I at least transfer whole folders over at a time? Will it keep the show information?
Is there a Roamio remote code that works with the Polk Audio SurroundBar 5000? I'd love to be able to change the volume with one remote...
Two Tivo HDs with Lifetime Service and 1TB hard drive upgrades in excellent condition.
157 Hours. Cables, manuals, original boxes.
1) One remote is a limited edition RED Tivo remote. $300
2) The other has an original remote and the writing has rubbed off many of the buttons.
(See picture.) It's still very usable for those of us who know the peanut -- or you could use your universal remote or buy a replacement online. $285
Prices include shipping in the continental US. UPS Ground with tracking.
On my Series 3, Season Pass will not record.
Any ideas what is wrong. I've tried it for a number of shows, and they do not show up in the "To Do' list.
