I discovered multiple instances of No Country For Old Men and several other films on my To Do List even though the wishlists that caused them to be scheduled are set up for New And Repeats and not All.
It's the first time I've seen the issue in the month that this new box has been in service.
The TiVo button just switches between Central and Shows. No other button seems to work. Right now I hit the Guide button twice but it seems there would be a direct button. Maybe an older remote has this button and I could "learn" it on my RCA remote.
I have the 20.7 update on my tivo premiere, and these days hadn't gone to the music/photos/showcases in a few months just today I noticed SPOTIFY! YAY! but i keep getting either corrupt swf errors, or start failure.
i've manually updated tivo several times, restarted the DVR
spotify is not the only app thats getting the corrupt swf error. (at least in music showcases photos)
I signed up for the 20.8 update but don't know if that will fix it ?
I still get the v301 error code when trying to use rhaposdy on top of that now when i try to use spotify on my tivo premeire xl i get NO SOUND! I tried to access spotify 3 times last night and couldnt get any sound. I'm so frutrated with tivo not fixing the v301 error code for the last4 years .
Hello, I am on FIOS and looking to get a Tivo solution to replace my DVR. I have a few questions and would appreciate your feedback.
1) I've read that FIOS has high signal. Do I need to put an inline attenuator?
2) I am looking at a Roamio Pro and 2 Tivo minis. I will probably add one more mini soon, and then one when I finish my basement. Is this viable, or should I look at something like a discounted premiere instead of a mini?
3) I see that the mini has a basic remote. Should I get the slide remote?
4) Any tips/suggestion for how to buy the Tivos? Could I get some sort of a package deal if I call instead of order online?
I've encountered something unusual that I think I understand what's going on, but I wanted to get others' opinions to see whether I've missed something.
I want to download a program off my new Roamio Pro. Here's what I've encountered:
- If I download it normally using kmttg, I end up with a quite small decoded .mpg that is just the audio portion with no video.
- If I tell kmttg to download the program's transport stream instead, not only does it download much more quickly and I get a much larger file (~8 GB), but I find that the tivodecode step fails since it doesn't understand transport streams.
- If I load this resulting .TiVo file in VideoReDo Plus, I get a message that the content in the .TiVo file is actually an H.264 stream, and VideoReDo Suite H.264 is required to handle this file.
So, what I think I've learned is that the program I'm downloading from my TiVo is not working with my normal processes because the channel is being sent in H.264 instead of MPEG-2 format. If I want to download programs from my TiVo from an H.264 channel, it seems that the only way to decrypt it currently is VideoReDo Suite H.264.
Am I correct, or is there some part of the problem that I've overlooked?
I should add that I'm on a Mac, but I do have access to Windows XP via VMware Fusion.
Sorry if this topic has been covered, I searched for an answer but could not find one. If you know of a thread that covered this topic, please let me know.
I will be receiving my basic Tivo Roamio on Thursday and plan on connecting to the internet wirelessly. I currently have a cable modem/gateway supplied by Comcast, but am wondering if that will provide a strong enough signal to connect my Tivo, or if I should invest in a wireless router. The Tivo will be located about 20 or 30 feet from the modem/gateway which is in a spare bedroom, so there are walls that may block the signal. My phone is currently connected through the modem/gateway and the signal fluctuates between good and excellent, depending on where I am in the house, its good in the living room where the Tivo will be located.
Thanks for your input.
How do I get to the screen to uncheck channels that I do not want to appear in my guide?
Hello, I'm new here and don't have the first clue about getting Tivo or subscribing to their service.
Or what fee Cable will charge me.
Currently Subscribe to Directv with HR34,Hr24,HR23,H25, D12 and whole home service. While I love the system, I don't love some of the rate increases, the sometimes slow response times by the receivers and the over all lack of Local channels that my Blue ridge cable offers.
Cable claim they will offer tivo in June, but untill then I want a feel for what I'm looking at .
I will never use the Cisco receivers again.
I already Kind of know what I want
Roamio Plus , maybe Pro, and 3 Minis
What would Cable charge me? Just one cable card Fee?
Or since its 6 tuners would it be 6 $0.50 outlet fees?
For my fifth receiver , it just needs a standard cable box.
My Question is, If I decided to Get 2 Roamios and 2 Minis
Would I be charged 2 cable card fees, and thats it?
Or 12 outlet fees?
Also can both Roamios interact into your whole home to access recording and play back from all rooms?
Thanks any Help would be great.
Wondering if the video widow in the guide is available on the mini. Thx
I am late to this particular party, just added a mini to our whole home system.
Anyway, has Tivo stated when they intend to update the menus on the mini to match those on the Roamio?
$325 shipped UPS ground.
Tivo extended warranty until April 2014
In order to change inputs on my Westinghouse TV I choose "input," scroll to the desired source, then select "enter."
My problem is that my standard TiVo remote does not seem to have an "enter" button for the TV. I can choose "input" and scroll to the different sources, but cannot select any of those inputs.
Coming from WMC, and using an application like My Channel Logos, it is very nice to have the channel logos present right next to the call letters in the guide. This makes it very easy to glance at the guide and see which channels you are looking at.
Is there any way to add this ability to the TiVo?
Hi I own 3 Tivo Hd units with lifetime. 2 of them I have upgraded to 1tb drives. Recently I have had an issue with one of the units rebooting and freezing all the time so I thought I was having the power supply problem. I swapped power supplies with a good unit and no change. So I went and replaced the drive with the original and it rebooted much less but now randomly freezes up and has to be unplugged and restarted. What causes the freeze up is that only hard drive or could I have a bad motherboard. I just cant see the original drive being a problem as it was fine before I upgraded to the 1tb drive.
If I view the channel lineup on Tivo's site for the same cable provider I've selected on my Tivo, am I seeing the full channel listing for that carrier online or just the channels in 'my channels' listing I've set up on my Tivo?
In other words, does one list have anything to do with the other or are they independent of each other?
Thinking about getting a mini. What are the streaming options? Does it have the new netflix HTML 5 app? Hulu plus? Opera store?
I have 3 Tivo Premieres using MRV. The feature has worked fine until recently I am having issue with one particular unit.
The MRV begins to work and then about 10 minutes in I get a V87 error and suggests an issue with the network or the Tivo losing power.
However, I don't think the Tivo is losing power because I it would take several minutes to reboot and I can go almost immediately go back to MRV the same show after a minute.
Any idea on how I can troubleshoot this?
I was browsing through my Tivo suggestions this morning and noticed that among them was a recording titled "to be announced". In other words, Tivo, after carefully evaluating my viewing habits and thumb ratings, decided that a best fit was a program with NO description, NO keywords and NO synopsis.
I'm.... a little....... offended? ;)
