Wow, I just discovered that my tivo premiere now has Infinity on Demand
as a choice under the apps. Don't know when this first appeared here in Vero though I know it's been south of us in West Palm and Miami. :up:
It's absolutely ridiculous that Tivo has not upgraded the iPad app to allow for downloading shows in the background. This has been around for a while now and fairly easy to implement. C'mon Tivo.
Anyone know why Tekzilla/HD Nation no longer downloads on the Premiere even though I have a season pass? I get the applebyte and various other podcasts. I can force a manual d/l but not as a season pass.
I just talked with support and am highly confused on what I need. First, when I bought the Roamio support said the Roamio would work with the mini via MoCA. However, they didn't really mention that it needed a bridge (unlike the big brothers).
Long story short I have a mini which can't connect using MoCA. So, I was going to get a Moca bridge. Support however said that I would need two MoCA adapters. One to connect to my router and the other to connect to my Mini? From the site
(option 3) it makes it appear that I would only need one to build that bridge to the internet.
Also Option 2 is how I have things setup right now. My Roamio has an ethernet connection and Coaxial for cable. The diagram should mention Roamio plus and above. .
I've got some SD shows recorded that my daughter watches frequently. Since the software update last week on my Premiere XL4, these recordings (which have previously played with no problems) will barely play-- they have severe pixellation and audio dropouts every few seconds. The exact same SD recordings still play perfectly when played on a Tivo Mini.
Has anybody else seen anything like this? Coupled with the v58 errors that have rendered my TiVo virtually useless for the last week, I'm about to throw this TiVo through a window.
Sometimes a restart will fix it. I also found the same problem on YouTube (Did not find it on any other apps, but would really like the issue with Pandora resolved - I use that fairly frequently, or did). This is the original Series 3 unit. Idea(s)?

I'm trying to ditch TWC in favor of a converter box. I bought the Inisgnia NS-DXA2 thinking that it would be compatible with my Series 2. Since Tivo lists compatibility with NS-DXA1 on their website, I foolishly thought it would work. It doesn't.
I wonder if anyone has some input or knows of a working code/strategy?

So based on many recommendation here, I binge watched Sons of Anarchy Seasons 1-5 on Netflix this past week.
It was awesome.
But now I want to watch Season 6, and Netflix doesn't have it!
Is there anyplace I can watch it free/cheap? Any idea when Netflix will have it?

So here's an odd one. We have a Pioneer Elite AV receiver plugged into a power strip that plugs into 'Wall outlet 1'. Then we have a TiVo Roamio Plus plugged into a APC UPS that is itself plugged into 'Wall Outlet 2', approx 4' away from 'Wall Outlet 1'.
Sometimes, but not all the time, when I turn on the AV Receiver, the TiVo will power cycle (with the UPS giving a momentary beep).
Any idea (other than equipment malfunction) why this might be happening?
I'm wondering if y'all can help me. Here is the situation.
Just bought a mini. I also have a Roamio Plus.
Both are hooked to the internet through an internet cable to a powerline adapter. The powerline is working fine. Both have connected to Tivo Service successfully. When I go through guided set up it goes great until I get to choose the Tivo to connect the mini to. It shows my Roamio, but it is greyed out with a "no" sign next to it. I've tried power off resets on both boxes and had both connect to Tivo afterward, both success.
I called Tivo and the rep said that it might be a bug with the Roamio software. Before I send my Mini back to them for a refund, any ideas?
I have a Tivo HD which I recently connected to a Comcast ethernet connection from the old telephone connection I used. I've been trying to get Netflix to work on this device but the application fails to launch properly - it just returns to the Netflix folder in the Now Playing List.
My s/w version is 11.0k. A relative of mine has a Tivo HD on Verizon running 11.0k and the Netflix works properly on his unit.
I called Tivo for assistance but they said they can't find anything wrong and told me the Tivo HD was most likely defective.
I just saw another thread where someone said that Netflix on his Tivo HD started to work properly when his s/w was updated to 11.0m. I tried to force an update to 11.0m on my unit by repeatedly doing a network connection to Tivo, but the software hasn't updated. I called Tivo tech support and they said there was no way they could force my Tivo to go to 11.0m. I'm trying to find out if there is anything else I can try to get Netflix working or to get my software updated to 11.0m?
Just setup a new Roamio Plus, and for the most part it is working well. However I receive a black screen (no error) when I try to tune to 1204 (HBO Comedy Pacific) or 1167 (FXX). Is anyone able to receive these on their Roamio in Phoenix? All other HBO's and other premiums work fine.
Also another odd thing I have noticed is when I tune to 1134 (Cooking Chn) the Tivo switches to 720 even though I have 1080i set as the only available resolution. This causes the menus to change resolution and look pretty bad on my tv.
The original movie with Danny Kaye is on TCM tonight at 8pm.
This is a pretty neat new feature on the Roamio. At least new to me, was it ever available on the Premiere?
Anyway, is there anymore to this feature that I don't know about it? Can you customize your playlist? So far, it seems limited to just playing the whole group.
I had several recordings scheduled with start/end set to 1 minute extra at either end. Two of these (at least) were on the same channel (BBC America, Doctor Who specials), and I noticed both recordings have a brief glitch with video pausing and pixellating at just about exactly the 1 minute mark where the Roamio would have been cranking up (or finishing, depending on how you look at it) the next show on the same channel.
Is this merely a coincidence, or have others seen the same thing with overlapping recordings on the same channel?
I guess I should experiment with explicitly recording some stuff that will overlap and see if it happens every time.
Any deals out there to purchase a mini with lifetime sub for less than $250?
Looks like during a recent move I lost one of the rubber feet on the Premiere. Haven't had any luck finding them online. If anyone knows a way to get one, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Picked up something similar from home depot, but I'd like to replace with an original one if possible.

-Is it worth paying for the lifetime service and is it transferable to another device if I decide to upgrade?

I'm tired of waiting for TiVo to fix the Netflix reboots and for Amazon Prime support. Now I don't have to wait. I got a Roku for Christmas. Now I have to figure out which HDMI device to unplug from my TV so I can use it.
