TW is about to change their lineup in my area on Sat. March 1st. I'm new to Tivo and just got my Roamio with 2 minis installed on Monday. Will the Tivo recognize the change and adjust my season passes or will I have to do that manually??
Thx in advance.
While the newer boxes support NETFLIX can I suggest adding UltraViolet (aka: VUDU / CinemaNow / Flixster / Target Ticket) app to the system to stream these cloud based movies??
I have brand new unopened box from Tivo. Used a promo to get a deal on the roamio pro and bought an extra Regular roamio. looking to pass on my savings to someone in need/want of Roamio HD with lifetime service. (And to help offset the cost of mine) So lets make a deal. I'm in Houston area and would like to deal locally but I can mail if need be. I just ask you cover the shipping in your offer. I would like $575 IDK if that is unreasonable or not. But If I cant make a deal I will just return it to Tivo or keep it as extra... :D
I have a Roamio Pro and 2 Mini's. The Roamio Pro and one of the Mini's are in different rooms, but you can hear both tv's from each room. Is there not a way to get the Mini in perfect sync with the Roamio? For example, if you're watching the same show as the person in other room, you don't want to hear the slight echo. Or if you're having a super bowl party and want all Mini's to be in sync with the Roamio pro?
I saw in another thread that people were recommending a hdmi over ethernet solution. However, it seems like it would be built into the Tivo software? Something like how Sonos automatically syncs sound with different amplifiers so you don't have an echoing effect.
I just went to podcast and all the ones I marked as favorite have disappeared.
Having trouble with MFSLive boot CD version 1.4 and my NTFS Windows XP boot volume. According to the release notes, NTFS volumes are supported for r/w access now under the Linux kernel. However, the following command sequence doesn't work:
mount -t ntfs -w /dev/hda1 /win
backup -f 9999 -6so tivo.bak /dev/hde
The last command gives the result:
tivo.bak: Permission denied
I've also tried using:
mount -t ntfs -w -o rw /dev/hda1 /win
with the same results.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a problem with MFSLive? Is there another MFS tools boot CD that supports NTFS for R/W??
Both Growing Up Fisher and About a Boy are supposed to be airing episode two tonight. Guide says it, all online sites confirm it. Instead, it appears NBC is going to rerun the pilot episode of each. Which only aired a couple days ago, and are available at NBC.com.
Way to piss off new viewers, NBC. Can you do nothing right?
My local WM has the Tivo Premiers discounted to $98. Been a while since I've purchased a Tivo. If I do get one of these, what are the procedures to go through as far as setup? Is it just a matter of calling Tivo with the particulars of the new unit? My Tivo HD was setup by the cable guy a few years ago. Is this something I can do, or will the cable guy have to do it again? Also, am I able to keep paying the $12.xx monthly fee I've been paying or a new price?
Haven't streamed my Roamio Plus much out of the home because the PQ is poor.
But I was playing around with setting up a VPN only Mac.
Apparently the VPN doesn't fool the Tivo app on my iPad. Still shows as Away from Home Network.
Wondering if the streaming quality would be more comparable to in-home streaming if the Tivo app though it was still on the home LAN.
I have 5 Mbps upload.
This wasn't the greatest episode I thought it was enjoyable. Even though Barney just had to snap out of it at wrong time. :) Did they already do Weekend At Barneys earlier?
Looks like you have to set your SP to new and repeats. If I set it to New only I get nothing. I get all the episodes with New and repeat. I have no reason why it is doing this.
I just got a Tivo Premier after having a Series 2 for 7 years. On the Series 2, I loved the way that you could browse shows by putting 0 (zero) in and it would show all shows/movies in alphabetical order. You could do search for shows by Interest and just put in 0 and it would give you a long list.
Is there anyway to something like this with Tivo Premier?
I just picked up a used Premiere XL and Netflix does't work which seems to be common now. I also get the "We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title." aip-702 error. I also had no luck with TiVo or Netflix tech support resolving the issue. If anyone finds a fix, please post it!
Fast Forward a few months... I was actually hoping for a moment with Edith and her Aunt in Geneva.
And, the biggest problem was that it didn't seem like 8 months had passed for anyone else. The same men were still after Mary. Rose's ball was still being planned - I never realized it was going to be so many months later. That gentleman that likes Isobel didn't appear to have made much progress with his flirtations, and then suddenly we get to see it play out. That all kind of annoyed me.
Love, always love, seeing Violet and Cora's Mom together. What a hoot!!
Paul Giamatti was fun - and I enjoyed that whole story with the American's and all their money versus the English hanging onto titles and both being so bloody obvious about it all. Not like you would have seen in the first season, to be sure.
OH! and Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes. Wahoo! :D
What else? I know more of you watched this...
I can't figure out what should go into what. Here's what I have: antenna tv, TiVo, blue ray player, xbox, internet is through the phone company and smart tv. Any suggestions on what the configuration should be? THANKS!:)
Helix is pretty confusing and full of wtf-ness but the show I have the hardest time following is Lost Girl. I've watched all of the new episodes this season and am pretty confused. I feel like I missed half a season or something but as far as I know I haven't missed anything.
So, Seth Meyers had his first "Late Night" last night. Who watched? I did.
Monologue was basically "Weekend Update" while standing up. Still, it had its funny bits. I wonder if it's always gonna be like that. It seems so unnatural while standing.
Speaking of sets, his desk set is really small with a tiny seating area for guests. What's up with that?
I have a Tivo Premiere Elite XL4. It is almost two years old. I have a problem with two shows in my Deleted Shows folder. They will not permanently delete.
(i) hard boot (power off/on) with shows Deleted and with shows not Deleted
(ii) kick start option 57
(iii) kick start option 58
(iv) kick start option 54 -SMART Test
(v) playing the shows through:
--show 1 crashes the Tivo intermittently
--show 2 plays after a long delay (black screen) at the beginning.
(vi) various combinations of the above
I am fairly certain that they are corrupted but have exhausted suggestions I've found to remove them.
It wouldn't be a priority for me except that it is causing other problems. The two files take about 30% of the total space on my Tivo (the disk full percentage changes between 60% and 90% depending on whether the shows are deleted or not.) Together, the files are about 7 hours of playback, so the size doesn't make sense.
Even when the files are deleted, the Tivo is deleting recently recorded shows and canceling recordings (out of space) despite the 60% used indicator. This is what prompted me to start investigating.
Short of deleting and reinstalling everything, has anyone seen this problem or have suggestions.
Glad it's back. More glad that Shakira and Usher are back.
Looks like Shakira and Blake have a little something going this year.
It sometimes amazes me when no chairs turn, then even more so when someone I think is lousy all 4 chairs turn. Bad ears I guess, too many years working in a data center.
