I'll occasionally get a C501 on my mini. I've seen it on both my MoCA and Ethernet wired boxes. Today, I viewed the logs and it appeared to be related to a middlemind comm error. While rare, I don't see many threads on them.
Does anyone else get C501s on the mini on occasion?
I can't believe that nobody has started a thread for this episode so far. I just got around to watching it. I thought it was another great episode. Seems like there were a ton of references in this show also. I'm not up on my SciFi. Were they referencing Star Trek or Dr. Who or both?
Dan Harmon really seems to be making a statement this season.
, a follow-on to the original Carl Sagan Cosmos, premieres tomorrow (March 9) on about ten Fox channels. As I understand it, the second and future episodes will only be aired on the main Fox and NatGeo channels, with "extra content
" on NatGeo.
I'm having trouble setting up a season pass because it doesn't offer NatGeo as an option, even though it does show up in the guide. I have a Roamio on FiOS.
I have tried to get this to work, and have searched the forums for solutions, but couldn't find an answer. So, apologies in advance if this is a simple solution. The Ultimate was working great with my Series 3.
I can not get my Harmony Ultimate to control my new Roamio - at all. No channel changing, no direct number entry, nothing. I have tried RF and IR. I tried teaching the Ultimate Roamio commands by beaming them at the Ultimate. Nothing.
I also reconfigured the settings in my harmony.com to make sure the Roamio was the selected device for channels.
Before I return the Ultimate, I thought I would see if anyone might be able to tell me what I am doing wrong.
...actor Colin Ferguson.
I read that he just became a father last September, so this contract probably pays well until another series comes around.
I didn't find any posts on this through a search so forgive if this is old news but I saw the commercial recently and said Damn, that's Carter!
Immortals. Huh. So, how did the Ilarians become immortal? Are they from the planet Ilaria? Maybe I missed something.
It seems that Hiroshi's master plan was to cure all cancer, even though he used a rather dubious route to get there.
Oh, Julia, girl, what did you do? That's gonna come back to bite you in the ass.
Still not sure how Hiroshi got the bunny eyes.

Did anyone else's Pandora app disappear from the Premiere today?
I've been trying to understand why anyone would purchase Lifetime service of a Tivo Roamio (or for that matter any model Tivo) DVR. According to my calculations, it would take roughly 33 months to break even on the $500 cost of the Lifetime service considering that the monthly service fee is $14.95. From what I understand the Lifetime service is only good for the life of the individual machine. The warranty on a Tivo Roamio is one year. So what happens if your Tivo dies at 13 months? Are you just SOL? If so, it seems that you are taking a risk that the machine even last 33 months. It does not seem like a good deal to me. But maybe I'm missing something?
I've been with DirecTV for the last 8 years. While the service has been great, the cost has just gotten completely out of hand. So I'm thinking of returning to cable with time Warner and getting a Tivo Roamio.
Before I do that, I'd like to know from those with first hand experience their opinion on how the Roamio works in concert with TWC and their cable cards and tuning adapters.
So please give me your personal experience with Tivo and TWC of southwest Ohio (I am particularly interested in the Dayton area).
I have a 2TB WD Green drive and an external esata case. Can this be connected to the Genie?
Thanks in advance for any ideas that people come up with!
I have a 2 tuner Premiere without lifetime, that I had expanded to a 2TB drive. This morning it crapped out. I have the original 320GB drive and swapped out the 2TB drive and it boots so I am pretty sure its the Hard Drive.
What are my options? Copy the 320GB to a new 2TB drive and carry on?
Try to find a 4 tuner Premiere on CL or fleabay with lifetime?
Buy a new Roamio?
I haven't messed around here in a few years, so I am way out of touch with Tivo's current offerings?
Anyone have any suggestions?
Like the subject line says, make me an offer, hopefully one I can't refuse!
Ok, I liked this much more than I thought I would.
Haven't heard about it, but saw the commercials during "Suits"
Developed by Denis Leary.
Being USA they get away with some of the more colorful language.
Is anyone else not getting email notifications when posts are made to threads they've contributed to?
We shared a Netflix account with my brother until the other day when we agreed to stop being unethical about it and get our own. So we deactivated that account and my wife and I started our own, but I can't figure out how to get Roamio to use it. How do I log out? Thanks.
Last week my Premiere XL crashed with the GSOD. Based on what I read here and my tests I'm thinking of trying ggieseke's DvrBARS process on it but not sure how to do what I'm thinking or if it is even doable. And would like any insight into what I'm seeing.
First thing, I pulled the HDD and ran the WD short and Extended diags on it. It passed with flying colors. I then used ddrescue to clone the drive to another WD identical sized drive so I could experiment. Ddrescue reported no errors in the process. This seems to imply that the drive isn't actually failing but that the OS has gotten corrupted in some way.
I tried booting from the cloned drive which encountered the GSOD (not surprising). I then tried to run various Kickstart codes. I could launch 54 HD test and run the tests. But could not start 51, 52 or 56 in an attempt to restore a potentially corrupted OS. I then ran KS 57, MFS check. After a while, the XL became stuck in a Welcome, Almost there, GSOD loop. Now I can't get to the KS codes on this drive. Strange.
I went and bought the Weaknees upgrade drive of the same size. I ran guided setup and the TiVo is alive. I cloned this onto the previously cloned drive and it also works. So now I have a working copy.
I see indications in the DvrBARS instructions that I may be able to copy certain partitions and get my original, or the clone working with my recordings. But I can't see any partition structure with my Ubuntu Live boot environment.
Given all that I have the follwoing questions:
1. What could the MFS check have done to corrupt it further?
2. Will the DvrBARS utility show the partitions?
3. I've also seen it stated that you should not boot Windowws with a TiVo drive attached because it will corrupt the drive. Is that no longer the case since DvrBARS is running under Windows?
4. Am I off in the weeds or is this possible?
Thanks for your help.
I want to replace my Time Warner DVR with something. I have a Silicon Dust HDHomeRun Prime (and Cable Card) and run a Windows Media Center HTPC. Watching shows and recording are fine (only on the PC) but the Time Warner Copy Protection flagging prevents me from doing some things. I can't even watch premium TV shows from an Xbox extender in another room it barfs about protected content (even though I am only watching on one display). It sucks.
Anyway I am looking at the Tivo Roamio as a more user (wife) friendly solution but an scared that the Time Warner flag everything mentality would cripple it.
On the Roamio would I be able to watch, record and playback premium (non-local TW flagged) content?
Could I use a mini from another room as an extender and do the same?
Any Time Warner users out there with a workable solution?
(Meant "from S3 after" )
Does anyone know how to rescue recordings when the S3 HAS a dvr expander attached and Tivo has broken web, another Tivo and TivoDesktop access with the 11.3 update.
The S3 still sees Tivo corporate and I can ping the S3, but i none of the functions allowing access work.
It has also broken all of the video on demand components.
It still records just fine
I have a new Roamio coming, but I need some of these recordings
A unexpected surprise last night when I turned on TiVo. Xfinity on demand was activated in the Baltimore area.
I went around and found a few things I would want to watch but everytime I would start the show I would end up with the grey cable card screen.
Any troubleshooting advice?
