Assuming this will be a season thread, since ep 2 is on tonight and there is no ep 1 thread. If I'm wrong, go ahead and create an episode thread.
Anyway - not much to say, but I enjoy reading the discussion, so hopefully I've made it easy for ya'll to talk about it.
This is one of the shows I look forward to returning. I enjoyed Episode 1.
We were a little confused though at why they were talking two different subtitled languages, when I thought one of them was supposed to be English. Did I miss something?
Another awesome episode. Clearly Phillip is still struggling with sleeping with a 15 year old (and it's downright creepy). And if I'm understanding right, it appears the defector is actually a defector, and not a Russian spy.
This is becoming my favorite show on TV.
I have noticed in the past few weeks that when I move from menu to menu, I get a black screen for a second or two.
Is the machine dying? If not, what can I do to fix this? Or should I just ignore it and not worry?
I have a Lifetime subscription which I would really not like to lose! It is my 3rd Tivo - I have upgraded twice (got my first one in 2001).
I have 2 T6s, just wondering when setting up Moca, in the settings there is an option for selecting Moca Channel.
Are both T6s supposed to be on the same channel number?
I'm swapping ethernet locations, just want to make sure that was correct.
I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this problem or not, but my TiVo recently updated it's software version to 20.4.6a.RC1-01-2-748 and it no longer allows me to upload movies and videos to it. I see the upload folder in my list of shows however when I try to upload one the TiVo reboots.
I'm sure this is an issue with my network and not my Tivo, but I'm still not sure how to address it.
My connection to the Tivo service keeps failing. My network is up, the Tivo can connect to it as it passes all the diagnostic tests, it just fails on the connection when it's downloading.
I'm seriously looking at changing out my Dish Network setup as it appears I can get all the channels I actually care about from Mediacom for something less. I'm waiting for their final quote so I can go forward.
I had considered just getting their Pace MG1/XG1 but after reading, it seems they've hamstrung it quite a bit, and they seem very proud of their rental fee.
Assuming I go forward with this at some point, but maybe not right away, what can I do with a Tivo Roamio Plus with just an Ethernet connection?
And after I get the cable connected, just how wide (in hours) is the guide? For some odd reason I can't find a picture of the guide anywhere and when I asked Mediacom that question, they didn't know.
Any other things I should consider?
I still have a working Series 2 Humax DRT400 DVR with DVD that has Product Lifetime Service on it.
The unit is in original condition with no upgrades, although the top of the case does have some discoloration from using an inappropriate cleaning solution on it.
We no longer use or need this DVR in our home and I would love to see it get some further use rather than sending it to the landfill.
I will send it to anyone that is willing to just pay the shipping costs to get it there.
Please let me know if you have questions or need more info. Thanks!
I have been pushing films to tivo for years using specific metadata to cause them to group in a movies folder.
I would like to pull some films using correct programId as they get much more complete metadata on the tivo that way.
I realize the pulls will never group with the vids already pushed, but is there a way to have the pulled movies group in a folder of my creation? If this has already been discussed, just a pointer to the thread would be appreciated. I did search and was not able to find such a topic.
And while I am asking about pulls, any way to get the tivo to display art work on pulls with correct programId? It works for tv shows but I cannot get it to do so for films.
I was looking at the suggestions my TiVo had recorded and noticed that "Boogie Nights" was in the process of being recorded. I thought, "I've never seen that. I'll watch it later." When I went back later, it was gone.
What I've discovered is that occassionally, while a suggestion is in progress, a new one will start but instead of taking one of the available tuners, it will take the tuner away from an in-progress suggestion.
Between this and the almost unusable state of digital optical audio, I'm really not liking this release.
I have Series 3/HD Tivos. I am going to buy a Roamio Plus and I know you can transfer Season Pass/1 Pass setup to the Roamio but is it possible to transfer already recorded content from my old Tivo's to the new Roamio?
With OnePass, I see you can see streaming locations from Amazon,Netflix, etc for tv shows
Why not allow Tivo to look at local xbmc or Plex installations on the local network and at least query it for episodes of shows on the local media player?
I have 44TB of old television, indexed with tivo program/edisode id's, and tivo does not look at the server and request episodes stored on it.
I know the ids are right, because if I pull them down to the tivo, they group correctly, and all the metadata for the episodes are right.
I have two premieres. One has begun recording shows on its own. Some on channels I have never ever tuned to.Now with one pass I have found 6 seasons of White Collar!Never watched it or asked for it.Any ideas?
Since the OnePass update, shows that i used to be able to stream on my iPad while out-of-home from MyShows no longer let me Watch from my Ipad. Did the the OnePass update stop us from streaming while away from home? I have CFL Brighthouse.
There doesn't seem to have been a New Girl thread in a while (ever?), but IMO this season has been as funny, or at least almost as funny, as the first was.
But this week's episode...the whole episode was great, but let's just call it "the popcorn machine conversation" had my wife and I laughing so hard that I repeatedly had to rewind so that we didn't miss any lines, and my eyes were tearing up such that I could barely see the screen.
And the American Pie conversation....
My TiVo Roamio keeps on causing a reboot when using the YouTube app. Starting the videos seems to trigger the reboot. I search for a video or find it in my history and when I go to play it there is a chance the TiVo reboots. If the reboot happens I can't start the YouTube app once the TiVo is booted because it says the app hasn't been loaded to my dvr yet.
Is anyone else having this issue? I am on 20.4.6.
If my cable company had whole home DVR installed at my home once before, is it safe to assume that MoCa will be troublefree to activate?
I've read conflicting info that the Roamio Lifetime is no longer transferable. It's only Lifetime for the original owner.
True or False?
