Couldn't find any episode threads, so starting a season thread. As always, if someone wants to start episode threads we can let this thread die
Wow, creepy show. I'm loving it!
Episode 1: We're introduced to the new officer in the TAU, Jack, who seems to be stalking his ex. I'm not sure he qualifies as a full fledged stalker since he says he wants to see his son. And it looks like the ex took the son and left NY to get away from him. Probably qualifies as stalking.
Then we see the creepy college stalker guy. Seems like Beth put the fear into the college stalker guy.
Episode 2: Yeah, creepy college stalker guy is now stalking Beth. Not going to end well. Looks like this is going to be an ongoing story. Especially if he goes after Beth's bartender friend. The creep of the week is the crazy lady after the little boy rather than the teenage girl. I enjoyed the horror movie vibe at the beginning of the episode.:D
So I'm in for now.
Looks like we will finally be dumping the warhorse CRT getting an HDTV for Christmas. I am a cord cutter currently rolling with a lifetime Series 2 and a digital tuner.
I assume this setup would be pretty horrible output on an HDTV?
My plan is to obtain a lifetime TIVO on Ebay, just wondering what the best option model-wise would be for an OTA only setup.
Also, looks like most of the HD boxes come with dual tuners. I assume I can record 2 shows at once with OTA?
"Don't stop me now! I'm having such a good time. I'm having a ball."
Song choice foretold the lack of split between Clara and The Doctor, though they tease misdirected the tech for a new companion.
Again, the costume department did a good job on Clara this episode.
"The Doctor Lies" once again.
Don't stop me now

I have a TiVo Premiere XL4. I have about 15 season passes and have noticed that shows that are recently recorded are being deleted VERY quickly. I recorded 2 football games today and they were both moved to the "recently deleted" folder within 2 or 3 hours of being recorded. And one of the games didn't completely record.
I use VUZE to move files from my PC to the TIVO and when I mark those shows "keep until I delete", often they're deleted anyway.
When I look at the list of recorded shows, there are only about 4 or 5 screens so it isn't like there are hundreds of shows. Even if there were though, programs that I've recorded recently are being moved to the recently deleted folder while others that have been on there for much longer aren't touched.
Any ideas? Thanks a lot
I have a Dish Network 2 channel receiver in a single box so the feed to my upstairs Tivo and TV is a coax cable with only channel 60 active. I tell the upstairs Tivo that I have antenna only and it claims that it scans the antenna but it does not find channel 60. I can change the Tivo channel manually to 60 and see the feed from the downstairs Dish receiver but the tivo will not allow me to record by time and channel because it does not allow channel 60 to be input. How do I force Tivo to realize that channel 60 is a valid channel?
I've had my Roamio Pro for a couple of months and it's been working great. I think the fall update broke my audio when using apps such as Netflix, MoviePhone and Pandora. For Netflix some shows and movies work fine, but others have no audio. For the other apps i get no audio at all.
Shows and movies work fine through regular cable, it's just affecting the apps.
My setup is Roamio Pro with optical out to a Vizio sound bar. I have Dolby Digital turned on, when I switch to PCM only I get no audio at all, since I assume the soundbar doesn't have a processor to decode it.
So a suspect asks for a lawyer and they completely ignore the request. Then later, when they walk in on one of the suspects shot in the stomach being held by someone with a gun they walk out and don't call for an ambulance until several minutes later when the the individual with the gun walks out. Zero respect for the viewers' intelligence. Clearly the new CSI Miami.
I am thinking about buying a Roamio Pro to replace a Series 3 unit.
Does anyone have any information on the upcoming release schedule or technology change that would warrant waiting for the next hardware upgrade or is it fairly wise to upgrade now?
The Series 3 unit works but I find myself juggling conflicts a lot more.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi guys, new poster here, a search didn't turn anything up, but here's a question I have:
The Tivo DVRs are essentially specially programmed computers with a tuner card. I've already got a PC with a 5ghz N wireless connection hooked up to everywhere I'd like to get a TV signal, and getting it there Tivo's way would require me running wires in my rental apartment, and spending $450 on minis. Is there any way to get the Roamio plus or pro to stream to the computers? It will be wired up directly into my router, and 5ghz is completely unused in my area, so I should have more than enough bandwidth to stream 1080p.
IF you currently own and use one of these puppies, is it worth the bucks?
Got a Tivo deal for $725 with lifetime. Worth it?
I did a search and could not come across anything useful or exactly my problem, so I am posting.
Some background: Using my 1st Mini, I can access the My Shows list of both my 2 tuner Premiere models and those My Shows are displayed in HD in the same format at the Roamios and Premieres or, more precisely, the NEW, post update format of options list at the left with suggestions banner at the top, etc.
Well, after successfully connecting my 2nd Mini a few days ago, when I go to access my 2 tuner Premieres' My Shows list, the 2nd Mini will only display them in SD, not HD or the new updated format described in the previous paragraph. Not only do I prefer the HD My Shows list, but it can remember where my last position was, while each time I access My Shows via the 2nd Mini, it always starts at the top of the list, and that is a pain, and further, I can't just press PLAY from the Shows list, I have to go into the show listed and select PLAY.
I've gone through settings, etc., and can't seem to find any setting to have my 2nd Mini display Premiere My Shows as my first Mini does. So, have I missed something, or is this normal behavior for multiple Minis. Both Minis are connected to the same Roamio DVR, if that helps. In every other respect, the 2 Mini's operate identically and very well.
I should add that BOTH Minis have the same firmware version.
Any pearls of wisdom welcome. Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I just checked, and now ONE of my 2 tuner Premiers is, indeed, displaying in new HD format, but not the other Premier. So, this looks like something that will work itself out over a few days time. I have hope that Mini will display the other one in HD not too long from now. Still, anyone is free to chime in to add any light on this.
I have a TiVo Premiere XL4 & a TiVo Premiere. One will have access to ethernet, the other wont.
Do I need two MoCa adaptors or just one? Yes I looked at https://www.tivo.com/shop/detail/moca
and I'm not quite getting it.
My goal is for the non-wired TiVo to be able to stream in real time or better. Right now, they are in rooms with ethernet and the transfer speed is nearly 4X real time. When I go WiFi, the speed is .6-.7. For what it's worth. After the move, as I said, the room it's going to isn't wired.
Nobody's watching? I found this to be mesmerizing. I really enjoyed the pilot episode of this new AHS.
I used to use a HTPC. Now, I will need to spend $100-$150 to replace a couple of parts, so instead of that, I thought I would use the Tivo Roamio OTA because it seemed to do what I want. Instead of recording 2 things at once, I can record 4. But, I think I just made a huge mistake buying a Tivo, but before I see if I can return it and cancel my service, I thought I would check here to see if there is anyway to mod the Tivo Roamio OTA to get it to do what I need.
1. I have an Amazon Prime Membership and want to steam the free video content.
2. I want to access Hulu not Hulu Plus. That is I want the free content part of Hulu, not the mostly useless paid part.
3. I want to be able to steam videos from my computer to the Tivo. I prefer not to convert the format from Divix.
4. Have access to Crackle, but this is not a requirement. The first two on the list are pretty much deal breakers.
Are there any hacks that are going to work, or do I need to see if I can cancel Tivo and fix my HTPC?
Charter's new all digital just came to our area and now requires us to use the digital cable boxes with our Tivos. Hooked up the boxes (Cisco Explorer 4640 HDCs) to the TV and attached the IR Blaster cables...only nothing is working.
I read that Cisco bought Scientific Atlanta, so I tried the Scientific Atlanta codes, but they didn't work.
Anyone able to get this work work? I read that some people were able to get the box to work with the 00018-B code, but that isn't working for me.
I have an iPad 1, and have used it for almost 2 years to download and stream shows via my TiVo stream. Recently it has stopped working with the stream. If I try to rerun the setup, it finds the stream on the network but errors out during step 1 where it checks the software version. Each time I try, I get "Setup Problem" and the message "Setup did not complete successfully. Please try again." I have tried a variety of things such as rebooting the iPad and stream.
My iPhone and my wife's iPad mini still work fine.
It leaves me thinking that iPad 1 has fallen off the support matrix. Though iOS 5.1.1 is still listed as the minimum requirement.
The iPad is running the latest versions of iOS and the TiVo app that is available for it. Of course both of those are older versions since iPad 1 support from Apple is limited now.
TiVo app 3.2.3
TiVo stream 19.1.7-01-6
Is anyone still using an iPad 1 successfully?
Came home from work yesterday and TiVo was showing a V 52 error (no signal)checked my cable going into the coacts input everything was fine still got the v 52 error then swap the lines with the cable modem and the TV still no signal on the TiVo but had signal still on the cable Internet is the mocha coacts input toast on my TiVo? Or it might just be a cable card related issue since there are no other signal issues with the cable on that level of the house I even tried rerunning guided set up and that didn't help. any suggestions?
Pretty good episode, especially the sheep. :)
I liked the firefighters but they did not seem like they would last long. "We should have asked at a museum not a bar" would have been good episode title.
I am already tired of the dentists-- especially if they will be one of those teams where one person does all the work. (Can anyone confirm if splitting roadblocks is an actual rule this year?)
Second time it's been cancelled. Not a surprise, nor will it be particularly missed by me. Poppy kept me coming back, though the rest of the show always had me thinking I should delete the SP. Now I can...though I did once before and the show came back.
