I thought Carly Rose should've won but she's young and will have a career and Tate needed the boost now..

This show was so over the top. Didn't care how they did the finale. Tate Stevens was the right person to win.

I hope next year (if the show still comes back) they only have Mario only as the host.

Exactly, Mario would do fine on his own. Did you see the end of the performance show? Mario was telling the people how to vote and Khloe was standing next to him with a mic in hand. I was expecting her to chime in and say some spiel but Mario kept talking and she said nothing. I was thinking to myself why is she there? Talk about redundant.

I continued to watch and continued to try to be pro-X-Factor but this just got worse and worse.

The hosts don't work because they don't have them there during the auditions so who cares when they finally do show up?

The judges are scripted and formulaic.
The talent is not that great - I remained shocked at how often they sang off key and then got rave comments.

Poor Simon - I don't think Tate Stevens is going to be the powerhouse winner the show needed.

I still claim The Voice is merely a rip-off of X-Factor but man o man have they out done the original.
Down to compare who their guest performances were by... It's like no actual stars wanted to be seen singing with these duds.

But on that note - it has already been renewed for Season 3 although LA Reid has said he is leaving and Britney - and I also try to be pro-Britney - is staying.
A good judge she is not. Talk about stink face.

I'm glad Tate won, though would have been just fine with Carly Rose.

I agree that they need to get rid of Khloe - totally useless and not even eye-candy. Someone needs to sit down with whatever host(s) winds up doing next year and come up with more questions than just a few variations on "what will this mean to you?" By last night's finale we'd heard it asked of, and answered by, the same people several times and certainly didn't need to hear it again, but there they were, asking it again.

I haven't followed the career of LeAnn Rimes since seeing her break into the business years ago, but I would be inclined to agree with those saying she seemed drunk during her performance with Carly Rose, though she swears she wasn't. Is that just how she is now?

I also thought the red carpet, Oscar night-like treatment was way over the top.

I found the contrast between the Voice finale and the X-Factor finale striking. I really enjoyed the Voice finale, but kept FF'ing through the X-Factor. It was overproduced and boring.

Not only is Khloe an awful host, but I hated all three of her outfits last night. She needs a new stylist.

I am okay with Tate winning, but he certainly won't create the buzz the show needed.

I am glad Tate won. Carly at times made facial expressions that made her look like she could be a real ***** to work with.
The thing I dont understand is you never hear anything about how the winners of this show and the Voice do. Idol seems to have winners that go on to great careers but never hear anything about the winners from the other two shows.

well that was my point when i said Simon can't win so far.

i remember when American Idol started they later talked about the huge investment there was in Kelly Clarkson having a career.

The X Factor and The Voice don't mean much in the long term if they don't produce charting recording artists.

The X Factor UK has produced several huge contestants
    - Leona Lewis and One Direction come to mind.
Cowell SO wanted Leona Lewis to be an international star he did a major major push to have Bleeding Love be a hit in the US including reshooting the video in Times Square to make it more US audience friendly.

I think this is going to change with The Voice's winner this year.
Something tells me Cassadee Pope is going to be successful.

I don't think Tate Stevens is going to have a crossover career
    - he might have success in the country genre but that will be about it.

It's possible that the boy band might go on to do something especially if Cowell can put them up on One Direction's back.

Leann Rhimes was terrible. I'm not sure it was alcohol though.

Anyone think her performance actually hurt Carly's chances of winning though? Seems to me people pretty much have their minds made by that point.

She's a 13 year old who specializes in singing songs (she sings them very well) enjoyed by 40 year olds. Not much of a market for that kind of thing.

It's been some time now since I've watched, but wasn't that performance on the results show? If so, it had zero influence on people's voting.

No, it was on the performance finale. I only mentioned it because I read Carly's family was furious (my words, not theirs) with Leann's performance and how bad it was stating it impacted the results.

Well LeAnn was awful and had something weird going on. Carly was way better than LeAnn that night.

Get rid of the other co-host. God, the first season guy was bad, but these ones are even worse.
