Will programs like streambaby benefit from the gigabit ethernet?

I noticed that the new Roamio Pro I picked up today has a 10/100/1000 ethernet port. Does the Roamio actually utilize the full speed of this connection, and can programs such as streambaby take advantage of this faster speed?

Stream Baby is a streaming app, so it's running in real time. As long as the network is running fast enough for the real time streaming it doesn't really matter. It might speed up buffering a little, but I doubt the improvement will be significant.

pyTiVo on the other hand... from what I hear it's significantly faster. Like download an entire 1 hour show in a couple minutes fast.
