    Inspired by a recent post.

Who do you root for and want to come out ahead in the final shows. Focusing on the main characters only.

Multi choice poll so select who you want.

Hank definitely. He crossed the line of legality a few times in terms of what a police officer can do (beating up Jesse, tracking Gus), but he's always been in the right morally.

Marie, because she's grown on me this season.

And Jesse I root for to kill Walt. If Mr. White hadn't come along, Jesse likely would have stayed a two bit criminal, cooking a bit then blowing it on hookers and booze. Everything he's done that's been real bad have been because of Walt. So yeah, I do see him as having the moral high ground compared to Walt, and so I do root for him to get a bit of redemption by taking out the devil.

All in for my boy, Jesse. He is so precious. I'd like to wrap him up in a blanket after I slap the crack pipe or weed out of his hands. :D

I just want Walt to go out on his own terms and make his criminal activities count towards (my impression of) his original goal - to provide for his family when he is gone.

He's been a criminal since S01E01 and has had no particular problem breaking any law if it served his end game, including murder and murder for hire. I'm not sure I buy the moral "outrage"/relativism of Walt's character crossing some line in the sand making him the one to root against.

With few exceptions, most of the people killed by Walt or by Walt's hit men were not exactly a loss to society. Most were thugs, killers and drug dealers. The line for me was him being seemingly so okay with he kid on the motorcycle. He didn't kill that kid any more than Jesse did, but Jesse had the more appropriate reaction.

At the start, Walt was a bumbling guy just trying to do right by his family. Yeah, cooking meth is bad, but it's not the worst thing ever. And the guys he killed in season 1 were basically self defense. But as time has moved on, Walt has gone from just trying to make a few bucks for his family to trying to build an empire at any cost. He doesn't kill only im self defense but preemptively takes out others to cover his tracks or establish his empire. He has been a criminal since the first episode but he's continued devolving since. There is a point where he crossed from first time offender getting a year or two to drug lord getting the needle.

I don't see how anyone can root for Walt now, but then, I've never liked shows or movies where criminals were the heroes.

All true, and I have no good reason to root for Walt. I just do. Every week it hits me that I'm really wanting him to get away with it.

I think Gale was at least one exception. Jane was another, though he didn't kill her, he didn't save her either. And yes, the kid on the motorcycle. If he had smacked Todd for doing it or shown more remorse.

This is where I'm at. I want Walt to succeed in the end. I doubt that will happen. But I really want him to finally experience the "I love it when a plan comes together" moment without *any* loose strings, even if that means Hank, Marie, and Jesse take an unexpected trip to Belize.

    Me, too.
Because if it was me I'd want to get away with it!

I find Jesse to be a whiny little brat who gets all drama queeny assuming responsibility for things he didn't do while ignoring his responsibility for all the things he did do.
He mopes around way too much then gets all indignant when called on it.
    I can't handle mopers.
