Well, it would help if you told us what cable/FIOS/satellite system you subscribe to.

No. Who is your cable service provider, or if you use an antenna, what area are you in?

Click on the link above that OrangeBoy so generously provided, type in your address, and you should be able to see where SoapNet went to.

    Cheers!

Well, I checked for you, and you're right: SoapNet is on ch. 82. But it has changed to a digital (not analog) channel, which means several things:

o If you didn't have a TiVo, you would need a cable box.

o If you had a TiVo HD, XL, or Series 3, you would need CableCards.

o If you have a Series 2 Dual-Tuner (your situation), you would need a cable box to "decode" SoapNet and then set the cable box to 82, and your TiVo to Channel 3 (or 4, whichever it broadcasts on). A pain, but at least you can see your SoapNet.

Sorry, there's no way to put it other than say that as a SoapNet fan, your cable company kind of screwed you. I feel your pain: For about a year, Cablevision here has slowly taking analog channels and converting them to digital. I finally bit the bullet and bought a TiVo HD plus a couple CableCards, and I've been able to get all the channels, and as a bonus, high definition! (woo hoo)

So you may want to do that. If getting a TiVo HD/CableCards is daunting, or getting a cable box to feed into your TiVo Series 2 DT is confusing, you can always just feed the cable box into your TV and view SoapNet live. Not the same, and certainly not the way to take advantage of your TiVo, but it all depends on how much time and energy you want to spend.
