    Idle curiosity really:

I've just been switching from firefox to google-chrome on linux, and when I access the https web connection on my TiVo premiere to use the browser to look at what is recorded on the TiVo, the column that, under firefox, has channel names for which channel recorded the program, under chrome, it just has a broken image icon. Apparently the web page provided by the TiVo is referencing an image URL such as:

    Code:
    http://tivo-7460001902dac0b.my.lan/ChannelLogo/logo-66395.png
and that gives a 404 not found error.

    Under firefox, the URL

    Code:
    http://tivo-7460001902dac0b.my.lan/ChannelLogo/logo-66395.png
works fine. Anyone have a clue what the difference is here between FF and chrome?

Actually, I think I found it. It is apparently a webkit bug that perfectionists have been arguing about for 7 years:

    https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5566

Firefox isn't finding the images either, but it is displaying the alt text for them.

If there is anything that demonstrates the single biggest flaw in open source, this is a beautiful example :).
