Has anyone had any experiece with the Western Digital Hard Drive (1TB) - WD10EURX for a Series 2 DVR?...

On the Series 3 side of the forum, someone was able to use it for their setup.

I already have a image backup using WinMFS. Does WDIDLE3 have to be disabled?

    thanks,

You will at least need a SATA to IDE adapter if you want to use that drive in an R10. The Series 3 uses a SATA drive directly, whereas the R10 uses IDE/PATA. I have seen some discussions elsewhere on which adapters work and which don't, but I don't have a link.

Good point. Its seems people are having good success with the LK-13415 adapter...

I guess WDIDLE3 is used to disable the Intellipark feature...

Just received a WD10EURX from dvr_dude since my R10 hard drive died last week.. Everything seems to be working so far. Since I have a backup IMG for my DVR40, I might buy a WD10EURX for it in the near future..
