I created a whole season thread because there does not seem to be the love for this show that it deserves. Single best comedy on tv right now.
JLD is really hitting her stride. The writing is razor sharp, and the show requires multiple viewings to get all the jokes. I just hope they can sustain this level of excellence. Great great great.

i love the show, too - very fast paced and excellent writing, definitely underrated.

i suspect some people fear there's a political agenda to the show and avoid it, which couldn't be farther from the truth - i hope it stays around.

If anyone is not watching this show because they think it's political, fear not. This show is not at all political. It's mostly about a fumbling VP and her staff doing silly things.

So far, with only a couple of episodes down for this new season, I'm liking it even more than season one!

Do they even mention political parties in the show? Like do we know what party the veep belongs to. I can't really think that it has ever been talked about.

I love the show too. I'm also thinking the show is better than it was last year.

it's a workplace comedy. never heard her party mentioned, and we've never seen the pres, but she always asks if he's called when she enters her office (running gag).

think more "the office", less "west wing".

    Two rules of the show.

    1. We never know what party she is in.
    2. We never see the President.

Given her big issue last year was environmental, she is probably more likely blue than red but her president seems redder. So who knows.

Very little hard politics. Just people politics.

And she really didn't care about the environment - or any issue really. She cares about politics and winning and approval.

They show blue badges, but shouldn't they be green badges?

and getting time with the President.

eta: I love when shows hit their stride in the second season. A payoff for loyal viewers.

    3. We don't even know the president's name. Everyone just says POTUS.

I actually thought Potus was the President's last name until this season. I don't know how, but it finally sunk in what they were saying during the first episode this season.

There's an occasional line in this show that kills me. Like once, a guy said "that gives me a schadenboner". Or, I feel like I'm in a national ass kicking contest and I have no legs and a huge ass!

the scheduling secretary deserves a nice parking spot and a raise for what she puts up with. if theres any politics in this show i dont see it at all. which is a good thing.

the presidents 'aide' that constantly barges in on things is really annoying. does a great job. being on AF2 apparently is as close as he will ever get to AF1
