I seem to be having the opposite problem that used to happen with FIOS and TivoHDs. I have a Alcatel-Lucent 1-211M-H ONT with a Motorola MCard in the TivoHD. After the install I noticed I couldn't get Showtime, TMCHD, SpikeHD and Comedy Central HD without pixelization. All of these channels at up in the 850Mhz range. I get signal strength of about 45-50 and SNR 29-30. "Good" channels get about 65-70 signal strength and 31-33 SNR. The tech installed splitters, but bypassing them made no difference. I installed a low pass filter, no difference. I added a 10db signal amplifier on the one coax line going to the TivoHD, no difference. I took the TivoHD downstairs and connected it directly to the ONT with a 6ft piece of good RG6, no difference. I would have thought bypassing the splitters and installing the signal amplifier would show some change in strength and SNR, but it didn't. These reading are from DVR Diagnostics. Cable length from ONT to TivHD is about 70 ft. I called Verizon support before trying the filter and amp and he was going to have me do something to the TivoHD but I passed because I wasn't home and he said I may lose my recordings. Anybody know the troubleshooting procedure they go through? So, it seems I have a bad ONT (or it's not setup correctly) or a bad TivoHD. I'm at a loss as what to do next besides calling Verizon and see what their troubleshooting checklist is. larry MOCA signal to network router is fine. Something like over 200 is what you want and the value I see is 225. Same cable length as the run to the TivoHD.
