Tivo Premier Stuck on "Will Transfer Later"

    So I transfer videos from my laptop to my TiVo via the TiVo app on my laptop. I've been doing for years without fail. Recently, my TiVo gives me the "will transfer later" screen and never actually downloads the videos.

    In an attempt to fix this I have tried:

    • unplugging TiVo for 30 seconds
    • restarting laptop
    • restarting tivo
    • restarting home network
    • reinstalling TiVo desktop on laptop
    • restarting router

    Nothing works. Help please?

    Have you tried going to the to-do list and canceling one or more scheduled transfers? Sometimes it gets hung up on a transfer and won't do any more until the hung one is canceled.

    Yes I have, it nothing is there except my regularly scheduled shows.

    Unplug the Tivo.
    Unplug it from the network.
    Boot the Tivo up and let it run a few hours without a network connection.
    Supposedly this will flush out the stuck transfer.

    If that doesn't work, select one video to transfer. If possible select one that you have successfully transferred before.
    Make sure it appears in the To Do List.
    Then do a hard reboot (pull the plug).

    Last resort, go to your TiVo account online (DVR Preferences) and uncheck the boxes that allow transfers and downloads.
    After a few hours, have your Tivo "phone home".
    Check the System Info screen and make sure the TivoToGo line shows i,i,i .
    Go back to TiVo account and re-establish downloads and transfers.
    After the next "phone home" you should be able to transfer again.
