    Hi,

I have a Tivo HD and I swear that when I used to change channels, the bar that displays the "info" (above the progress bar) would go away pretty quickly. Now after I have rebooted it the info bar seems to just hang around forever before it finally clears itself!

Is there a code to get this to go away quicker? I tried searching but couldn't find it.

    Mission...
    1. Play back a recording (or go to live TV)
    2. Press pause and then down arrow to hide the "pause ad"
    3. Resume play and then press in quick succession:
    Select, Play, Select, Pause, Select

If you do it right now when you pause you will note the overlay at bottom of screen disappears quickly as does the info when changing channels. Setting will stick until a reboot at which point you have to activate it again.

I interpret the question a different way.
Go to Messages and Settings / Settings / Display / Channel Banner
and set it to delete quickly. This setting should stick across reboots.

That's what I thought the question was about, too.

I think that this is what I was asking for, however...

This is even better!! I didn't even know this was an option!

Thanks to both (all three!) of you

You can also press Clear, which will hide it immediately (if we're talking about the channel banner).
