That was from an early episode when Pam was still with Roy. Jim spilled his feelings for Pam in that letter but then chickened out and took the envelope back. It wasn't until later that he finally did tell her that he had feelings for her. If this were reality, I would think he would have showed her that envelope long before this moment but it worked in the scene.

I don't think that Pam built a great case.

    A lot of decisions?
    How many is a lot?

I grant that the Athlead decision was something Jim should have discussed with Pam and I buy that causing some strain on their marriage.

Pam mentioned buying the house but as I remember it, everyone including Pam thought it was a wonderfully romantic gesture.

    What else was there?

This is why I never bought the "marriage is over" crisis that the writers seemed to be pushing because it felt so forced.

I think Pam/Jim should come to the understanding that after the 3 month roadtrip, they'd be selling the company and they'd be in for a huge payday.

    End of story.

he bought his parent's old home, the one he grew up in, for him and Pam. he didn't discuss it with her.

One of the best episodes of Office I've seen (but I've only been watching sporadically the last couple of seasons).

Made me laugh, made me cry.

Jim's manipulation of Dwight was masterful. And he did it in such a way not really to mock him, but so that Dwight actually felt good about being his own assistant. :D

Pam is a wuss and a whiner, but Jim did make a lot of major decisions without including her.

I liked that they addressed how Dwight could possibly get the position after firing a weapon in the office.

I think it's solely for the "coming out of Oscar's closet" gag.

Season 2- episode 4 the Fire. They were all outside talking after Ryan caused a fire in the microwave (and earned the nickname fire-guy).

They're in a circle playing a game. Jim "who would you do".
Creed (I think) said the blond religious one (Angela makes a dirty look).
    Oscar said Pam.

    Jim said Kevin.

Per today's L.A. Times (last paragraph of this article), Jim's note to Pam was actually a heartfelt note that John Krazinski wrote for Jenna Fischer, which she was reading for the first time on camera.

Am I remembering wrong or did Nellie not have a single line in this episode? Hope it's the same for the finale.

Remember that, I think, Oscar was in the closet at this point so he kinda would say that.

I think that I want the last scene in the finale to be something on the Scranton gang.

Then the camera pulls back and we see it's the Scranton Gang on a TV that Michael and a visibly pregnant Holly are watching.

Officially, Carell turned down an offer to appear in the finale. I did read something last week that said rumor had it he would have a cameo, though.
