Hate to give you the bad news...
It's been renewed
I don't think the guy on the American ship is Russian. He speaks with a British accent every time we hear him talking.
I thought that in one of the previous episodes he said he just had colleagues in Russia that he was working with.
I know it was mentioned already, but I have to mention it again.
It cracks me up how they always forget they have a helicopter. Bad writers.
They have a helicopter despite the lab occupying the helicopter bay, two mini subs, and at least two rigid inflatable boats. Oh, and at least one drone.
There are two helicopter bays, one of which was made into the lab.
There are enough stupid things in this show that you don't have to make new ones up.
Yes there are two helicopter bays. I'm not sure how many helicopters each bay can hold but I would guess at least two each.
OK so only one per bay, so they should only have 1 helicopter.
I'm only up to this episode.. but this was what I came here to comment on.
I admittedly can't give a rational explanation, but Kirk going on away missions seemed *less* ridiculous than the captain out there in the middle of the ocean floating.
(Speaking of that, where did they actually film this, and were they actually floating? It almost seemed like they would really have just been standing there... and the angles seemed like they definitely were in a small-ish pool.)
I have looked him up on imdb, and the guy playing Tex is really really familiar, but I can't figure out which one of his past roles I know him from. (Most people that seem familiar, I can either figure out I'm confusing them for someone else, or even sometimes they were a guest star on some show LOOOOONG ago, which is pinging my long term memories.)
The only thing I remember seeing the guy playing Tex in is Brothers & Sisters. Although looking at his IMDB list, I'm sure I've seen him in a number of those single episode guest star things like CSI, etc.
I know him from Burn Notice. He was the main bad guy in one of the later seasons.
Yeah, that's probably it.. Though I honestly don't remember who the character he played, Joe Whedon, was.. If I went back and saw an ep I'd probably remember instantly.. (I saw all but the last season.. I think that was on my OLED S3 when it died..)
He was the oldest sister's husband... Sarah.
He wasn't around as much after they got divorced.
