I'm really liking this show. I love the cast!

Little sister is a tech nerd? That could be fun.

I think they are doing a great job recreating the 80's. I've spotted several outfits that I recognize. I really hope big hair doesn't ever come back.

We're gonna go for a season thread? That's OK for me. I was gonna start an episode 2 thread like I did for the pilot. Now I don't need to make new threads every week.

The pilot thread didn't get a lot of action, so I thought I'd just go for a season one. But if you want to start weekly threads, and they push this thread out of sight, I have no problem with that. I like season threads, but I know they aren't everyone's preference.

For low traffic series, they are good for me too.

So.. episode two... Carrie dashes out to the photo shoot to deliver her bag. Editor lady still doesn't know she is a high school student. Surprised the gay guy didn't come out to his girlfriend. Thought he was gonna tell her that he was gay.

Oh.. and I wonder what is up with Sebastian. Carrie's dad knows who he is and who is father is. Obviously, a story there waiting to unfold.

I don't think Carrie's Dad knows anything about Sebastian, but I could be wrong. I got the feeling he just doesn't like S's dad, so he's carrying that over to the son.

I'm not surprised that the gay friend didn't come out to his GF. This was the 80's and that just wasn't how it was done in High School. Wonder how long it will take for Carrie to figure it out or if he'll tell her?

I pegged the gay friend as the gay friend from his first second on screen during the pilot - I was honestly shocked and confused when the girlfriend showed up.

So far, it is light, fluffy, fun fare. I will stick with it, but it needs to get more interesting to hold my attention.

Yeah, no surprise that the gay guy didn't come out. I don't think he's acknowledged it to himself. This is 1984, not 2012.

Still loving the 80s immersion. Funny that Carrie and her friends don't have bad 80s hair and makeup like the other girls at school. (although the tall friend does have some Farrah hair going.)

How long until dad sees Sebastian is not his father's mini me. Huge props to Sebastian for trying to make things right with her dad.

When in the 80's are we? I didn't have the big hair at the beginning of the decade, but did by 1988.

In the Pilot, he was looking at gay porn. Or something like that. I think he is pretty sure he likes guys.

He was looking at Interview magazine!!! :D

Granted, he was looking at photos of men in Interview magazine - but I wouldn't exactly call that gay porn...

It was originally started by Andy Warhol in the 70's, I think.

It is a very large format magazine - the draw has always been the photography in large format. They cover arts, decor, fashion, pop culture.

It was a pretty popular magazine in the 80's...still around today.

I loved the fight over the diner!

And Mouse has a Mickey phone, hah! And the scene with her and Walt and the sex video was great.

I think they are doing a good job of incorporating things from Carrie's character from SATC to show how they started. Like the flower in the button hole. I know there are others that I recognized at the moment, but can't remember them now. I'm enjoying the show a lot.
