There's one aspect of her character that's a bit confusing this season. She made a huge point with Hank and Marco of not being able to stand a liar, especially when it relates to police work. However, she lied herself big time in regard to the shootout in Mexico. I understand hypocrisy in people but the writers' version of Asperger's should make her more conflicted about her own lies.

Has she lied about the shootout yet or has she just kept quiet about it?

She kept quiet. And she was very unhappy about it...that's one reason she doesn't want to have anything to do with Marco any more.

Well, that attitude better do an about face after Marco saved her from certain death at the hands of the world's most inept hit man. :)

On another note, I've never listened to more than five seconds of this show's opening theme song. The singer sound so terrible I immediately ffwd.

I'm with Jeeters, they've not only dialed back Sonya, they've smoothed out the rough edges of her delivery.

So far I've barely seen S01 Sonya, I think there were a few glimpses in when she started with Dobb's brother, but rarely after that, and I miss her, she added a lot to the storyline.

They made a brief mention of Sonia's condition in the latest episode, with the CIA agent asking her if she was still taking her medication. She said "no" and that was that.

I wish all Spanish speakers spoke as slowly and enunciated as well as those on the show. I almost don't need the subtitles when watching the scenes in Spanish. I did think it was funny that the subtitles, meant to convert the Spanish to English for the viewer, translated "Buen Provecho" into the French "Bon Apetit" on screen.

Until I read this I never listened either.... I actually thought it was sung in Spanish.....just hearing the first word.

What's odd is the closed captions actually put the English up also, even though the subtitles do it. Usually for captions, when the audio is in a foreign language, they'll either stop captioning and let the subtitles do the work, or in a few cases, they'll actually caption the foreign language.

I know, it drives me crazy. The embedded subs are much easier to read, but my eye is trained to go for the CC. So I keep jumping back and forth.

It reminds me of watching an American movie in France. I was so used to watching subtitled movies that it was almost impossible not to tune out the (English) dialogue and read the (French) subtitles instead.

    Geeks are strange.

This. I actually understand Spanish, so between that and the subs I'm ok. But I have to force myself not to look at captions.

Hey, speak for yourself, geek-boy. I'm perfectly normal.:D

Our really heroes put their Stupid Hats on. Sonya for letting Eleanor know she had the ledger. Marco for trying to get to Fausto alone.

    Eleanor, incompetent to the end.

I'll miss this show if it doesn't get renewed. I thought season 2 was much better than season 1.

I've never crossed the US/Mexican border. Nobody would give a second look to an obviously wounded guy in hospital clothes limping across the border?

I enjoyed season 2 quite a bit more than season 1. I thought it was a weak finale, whether it's a season finale or series finale. With both Sons of Anarchy and Justified ending this season maybe this one will be brought back. I don't really know what the ratings are but it's a decent show.

I preferred season 2 because it didn't have the usual tv super villain who impossibly outwits everybody that season 1 had.

So sad to see this season end, and I am hoping it will be renewed. The ending, however, did give enough resolution and tying up the storylines if it is indeed the season finale.

The scene between Eleanor and her "father" was .... just outstanding in its sparseness. It seemed to be so true to both characters, even though we didn't know one of them at all other than through the perspective of Franka's character. The viewer is primed to feel sorry for this old, decrepit, nearly naked man in chains, and then his evil nature reveals itself, not through some trick of tv or directing, but just through actions, which is how find out the truth about all people in our worlds.

I'm not saying it's the best tv there is, but I have enjoyed the ride.

That's too bad, but not unexpected. Different show, interesting characters, set in a place that rarely gets air time.

I enjoyed it while it lasted. :(

I'll be the odd man out. I flat out didn't like season 2. Thought it was incredibly boring. Only reason I stuck with it was because of season 1 and my wife wanted to finish it. Kinda glad I won't have to decide whether or not to try a third season.
