Telling it to record 2nd copy makes first not record?

I've been having lots of problems getting clean recordings with the 20.3 update and the old firmware in my scientific atlanta cable card, so I went into the upcoming episodes of a season pass and told it to record a 2nd copy of the show it already had scheduled to record earlier.

When I went back to check upcoming again, it had cancelled the 1st showing.

Is it supposed to work this way? At least when I went back into the 1st one and said "Hey you! Record this", it finally shows both of them with check marks.

If the first one was scheduled by a SP then manually scheduling another copy will cause the first to be canceled because the TiVo automatic logic is to only record one copy of a program in a 28 day period. The only way to get both is to manually record them both or set the SP to "Everything"

Yes, it's supposed to work this way, though actually, I've seen my Premiere 4 sometimes *NOT* delete the first recording (SP-derived ones, not 'manually' made ones, like you saw).. If I ever figure out steps to make it reproduce (I think it's only in ONE of the View Upcoming episodes modes), I'll write a bug on their site.
