Yeah, I thought that was really odd. Jeff kept talking about how they would go to the Marshall's Lounge and I just figured that was some famous resort/spa in Fiji near where they were filming. So I was surprised when they got to the reward and it was just a tent in the middle of the jungle with the "Marshalls" logo. I would think that if the company is going to pay for product placement, they'd want their logo used the first time the name is mentioned so it's clear that it is a product placement.

Did anyone else find themselves shouting at the TV "Shut up, Zeke!" when he was explaining his strategy at Tribal Council*? I could just see it on all the other players' faces as they started to realize "Hey, this Zeke guy is really smart and if I'm not careful, he's going to strategize me right out of the game."

*I also kept wanting one of the other players to say, "Inconceivable!"

Yes he has, but like Ozzy, he has demonstrated very little ability to navigate the social side of the game with grace and subtlety. He's going to get paranoid and then they'll have to vote him out. He'll play an idol to save himself, but at the cost of exposing himself as someone who flipped and/or can't be trusted. So they'll vote him out again (where he'll play another idol), but nobody will trust him. He's just not that good at remaining calm and cool. He's going to freak out and create drama that people won't be able to not vote him out for (or at least try to vote him out anyway).

I'm thankful Andrea didn't hurt herself jumping from that pole! It didn't look pretty.

And my how she turned on Zeke - couple of days ago she's crying her eyes out understandably so over Zeke getting outed and then she's voting him out saying "you suck at this game - hope I see you never". I guess we don't have to worry about Andrea giving Zeke sympathy points at Final tribal for his situation (if he makes it that far)

I think people underestimate the effects of the lack of food, comfort, sleep, paranoia, etc. People who have played say it has a dramatic effect. I don't think anybody gets filled up every day or so. Those challenges aren't always for food, and come around something like every 3 days, and not everyone wins.

Yea if you watch ponderosa they always lose weight. I think last year there was someone that hardly lost anything. That was the first time I remember that happening.

Either that, or they'll remember how poorly he did in final TC the last time he played and they'll purposefully keep him around knowing that with the language barrier, he just won't ever be able to explain himself well at the finals.
Agreed. When she dropped that far and then immediately fell down, I thought she might have snapped her leg. I was glad to see her get up so quickly.

I thought the same thing, mainly because i have her in my pool at work, my first thought was you better not go out breaking your leg falling from a challenge.

As I was watching it I thought they seemed awful high up to not have some kind of safety below them. If one of them had fallen from the top...

In our work league you get paid if your player gets pulled from the game for medical reasons.....you have to pay if your player quits (for any reason)!

No each person gets a random person and if that player wins you win the cash.

I never really watched the Ponderosa videos before but I started to this season. I enjoyed the first two so much that I went back and watched all of last season's. They really give quite a bit of insight into how the jury is thinking and also give a more in depth look at the players. Hali came off really well in hers and she is much different than I had perceived her. I think I may go back and watch some more of the past seasons' ponderosa videos now too. It's like bonus Survivor for us junkies.

Wasn't the last one sponsored by Brandon Marshall? ;)

Edit - Never mind.....I didn't see page 2 to see this was addressed already

Does anyone else do this since the site has been changed? I have several times found myself thinking I had read the last comment and answering it only to go back and see that there were several more posts that I missed, or a second page. Old age creeping in, I guess.

Except the difference is that even before he won, he had shown a very high aptitude in being able to manipulate people and play the social game, so I don't think that's a good comparison at all.

Have all the Survivor pervs left the building? When Hali offered the HII "strip search" at tribal I was OK with that.

LOL, I think Survivor raunch peaked in the Amazon season, never to return. But yeah, I had an impure thought when she said that. :D
