I can really relate to Michael Skupin. Although my accidents generally involve spilling cups of water, knocking over random things in the house, or hitting my head on the top of the hatchback. I'm pretty lame compared to what he does to himself!

    That ^

Hopefully the producers do just that... mix things up and change the tribe dynamics, even if it's just pulling one player from either of the teams that has yet to go to tribal, if they mix the teams up and get everyone to even strength before the next challenge, they could potentially wind up pulling two players from one of the formerly stronger team (one lost to the team that acquires the new members, one lost via losing the challenge and going to tribal).

That would also, as noted, really mess with the alliances as Russell, Denise and Malcolm would potentially have numbers over any new members of their tribe, or... Russell could perhaps form an alliance with the two new members and use that to get Malcolm or Denise out before they are able to get him out (assuming Malcolm or Denise isn't able to pull a new tribe member in with them immediately).

Certainly mixes things up and makes the show that much more interesting, so yes, I'm definitely hoping for just that.

BTW, Angie's problems with the challenge, along with Russell's made me wish that the rules for the challenge required all members to bring back at least one puzzle piece. While I give credit to the teams that took advantage of their strong swimmers to get the pieces back, I think the tribes should all have had to dealt with the potential of having poor swimmers once the challenge commenced. The two stronger tribes could have sat out their weak swimmers in the name of evening up the teams, but otherwise, anyone that was participating should have had to go and retrieve at least one puzzle piece before anyone could have gone back a second time.

I just figure that Probst has talked to these guys off camera and has asked them how they prefer to be addressed.

I thought he always called Penner Penner?

Has ANYONE from the loser tribe even tried to find the HII? I don't remember everything that airs, but I don't recall even a bit of that tribe finding a clue or looking for the idol.

They probably haven't figured out how to open the container of rice therefore haven't seen the clue.

His original season was Cook Islands, right?

I can't tell if this was CI or FvF, but this video starts off with Jeff calling him Penner.

Penner is a cool last name. He never calls Russell by his, and Skupin... I couldn't figure out what he was saying at first.

I think Russell found the clue for the idol, but that was it.

Funny how often one tribe gets decimated while the other(s) keep at full strength. And how close the challenges can be and yet the same tribe keeps losing. Remember when Steph was all alone when they finally merged. I don't remember how they did the last couple challenges that time.

that when they have this type of challenge, that the first guy go down to the deepest item they need to retrieve as they are at their strongest at the beginning. Not saying that they should go in reverse order for the whole challenge, but leave the easy ones for the girls and/or weaker teammates.

Russell found the clue a couple of episodes back and made some half-hearted attempts to find it, but they haven't mentioned anything about it since then.

Cook Islands was his first season, and I think Probst called him Penner from the start. There was another contestant that season, JP Calderon. The J in JP stands for John. I don't know if Probst calls Penner Penner to differentiate the Johns/Jonathans, or if Penner is just Penner's nickname of choice.

When I was in AIT there was another guy whose first name was Todd, and a guy whose first name was Clint. There was no way to refer to me without two of us saying, "Me?" The Drill Sergeants were not amused.

I thought they were all on the same line, so that getting the bottom one first wasn't really possible. But I don't remember for sure.

When they're ready to get rid of him they won't even have to bother voting him out. Just hand him the machete and ask him to open some coconuts.

Angie was really fascinating. I love watching people who are delusional like that. Her self-image is not shattered by fact and rooted in grand pronouncements (I'm not a quitter). I loved her rationalization afterwards; and I think she truly believes that she did not quit!

I think she thinks she didn't quit in the fact that she did not go out there during the challenge and return empty handed like Russ did.

Angie didn't quit. She could/would have gone again. But the point is that having her go was a disadvantage for her team because she had no physical abilities. So whether she quit or not wasn't the point. The point was that even the most determined, dedicated version of Angie still would be a detriment to the tribe.

And rationalized the "you go, I'll stay here" as her wanting the best players out there so they could win. Never mind that, at the time, she did that because...well...she QUIT!
