glad shipping wars is coming back -- seemed it was such a short season even though there were 10 episodes.
wish "Carfellas" and "Scrapers" would make a come back.
Yeah I loved Shipping Wars
Any word on whether Hester will be back or not? I hope they send him packing.
I love Hester. I know alot of ppl dislike him but I don't get how Jarrod the D-bag gets a free pass. Is it cuz Brandy is so likeable? The guy imo is the biggest a-hole on the show.
But I wouldn't want him off the show. The cast has a very good dynamic and the show would not be the show without Dave or Barry or Brand and the Jackass or Dumpster Darryl.
Texas tried to duplicate and failed miserably.
There are at least two reasons...
The only think I hate about Dave is that he treats the show as an advertisement for his BS business. If he was actually there to participate and give good drama I'd like him more. I mean he seriously TM'ed "YUUUUUUP"? How arrogant is he?
I actually saw a "YUUUUP" tshirt in Boston on Monday.
Never saw a Outlaw shirt though.
I don't blame him for TM'ing Yuuuuup!
+1. I hope they give it a longer run.
I just hope they don't create a crappy spin-off of it though.
I see what you did there.
I know its a show and the other folks probably want the $$$ but not sure why no one hasnt raised a stink about the business relationship between Hester and Dotson. Cant Dave bid up the units to get more cash for his business partner?
I thought Hester had started his own auction business or is Dan a partner in that?
Storage Wars Stars Dave Hester and Dan Dotson Team to Start Orange Countys Newest Auction House
Ann I do remember that article. I don't see the businesses being related or any conflicts of interest though.
The conflict would lie in the fact that since they are business partners Dan can quick count a bid in Dave's favor, or Dave can help drive up bids to help Dan. Not that it matters since the show is primarily staged, but you get the idea.
Of course that's possible but I don't see it as a big deal. Not much money to be made on driving up a $400 locker. They really are two different businesses
I agree that it's not a big deal, but only in that it confirms the degree to which the show is staged. You can bet that if it were real that the others would be up in arms about the conflict of interest.
It seems these morons drive up the auctions on themselves, so how could you ever show that he's doing it? I agree that he could do it, but it would seem to also risk backfiring on him. If he drives up some lockers, then others may drive up lockers on him.
Hester inflates all the values imo.
