    But the cable co is responsible for providing proper signals, provisioning and authorization for our accounts and hundreds (thousands even?) of posts on this forum show they frequently don't do this. I also know this from my personal experience with TWC. Far more tivo problems are caused by cable co errors than by tivo hardware issues or user errors.
    In a perfect world that is correct. In the real world, as evidenced on these forums, things aren't always so peachy keen.

    A subset, AFAIK, not all, at least based on the last time I looked at on demand content in the TWC TV app.

    I agree with you 100%, but that's a separate issue altogether.

    These problems seem to be related to specific providers and not across the board. I've had numerous cablecards activated with Verizon and never had a single issue.
